And what are the bonuses for making the pre-order on Steam?

yes there is, gamersgate offers blue points for example and steam don´t have any points to offer.

Well, they didn't comment on Gamersgate in that huge steam thread so I doubt they'll mention it here sadly :/
Although if we're lucky maybe they'll offer a discount for preorder like steam sometimes does.

Will the disc version require some steam activation or something? or is it just install and play? Can't access steam at uni so would be pointless for me to get one which needs steam activation :P

The only one that doesn't use Steam is the Gamersgate version.
