December 2012: Kazoo's SKIF style icons
Kazoo's SKIF style icons is a graphical modification, heavily inspired by the work done by Krystoff, Scyth, and Bebro for Hearts of Iron 2. It builds upon their original work, adapted to Darkest Hour, but the amount of icons is further increased, with the long-term aim of covering all important nations in the ww1-ww2 timeframe. At the moment it covers around 7000 models. The modification alters the unit icons to a more graphical version than in vanilla, which adds both immersion and a sense of uniqueness to whichever nation you are playing.

The Bonaparte Legacy is an alternate history mod where the Confederacy won the American Civil War, affecting the world as we know it in many ways. The 2nd French Empire became the dominant force in Europe, ultimately losing the Great War. In Europe, fascist France desires revenge against an Anglo-German alliance, which is facing threats from all sides. How will history unfold? You have the choice. Avenge the defeat as fascist France, spread the Revolution as the Soviets or the USSA, or try to preserve democracy as Germany!

July 2012: A Democratic Germany
This improvement of the Day of Decision scenario gives the player a third option in March 1933: the option of a democratic Germany. The premise is that the democratic parties in Germany unite in a "Weimar coalition" to keep the Nazis out, at least for now. Included are many new ministers and events which have turned into a whole new alternate timeline up to 1964. As global tensions rise, you will be forced to choose between your former enemies, Britain and France, or fellow pariah state Soviet Russia. You will lead a Democratic Germany in a divided world.

March 2012: New World Order 2
New World Order 2 is a mod whose task is to provide compelling reasons to keep playing Darkest Hour after 1945 at least until planned end of timeline in 1964. Based on its predecessor that allowed seamless playability from 1936 well into depths of Cold War, it combines DH Full map with a huge number of events accounting for post-war elections, declarations of independence, local conflicts and shifts in economic production around the world. Regional strifes and Cold War flashpoints can erupt into World War 3 on a global scale with DH's world embroiled in a nuclear struggle. The task of the mod, once again, is to recreate all the plausible venues in which the World War 2 could have ended, and experience the darkest hours of the Cold War era.

The plan is to eventually cover every nation that is interesting to play, at the moment almost 20 countries are covered with several thousands of unique drawings.
In continuous development since almost two years Francesco's Models Mod aims to become a reference for present and future HoI games.

January 2012: Arms, Armistice and Revolutions
Arms, Armistice and Revolutions (AAR) links the 1914-Scenario to the classical 1936 grand campaign, thereby offering half a century of pure political, economical and social turmoil to play. It takes care of guiding the major powers of WW2 so they can then pursue their individual, (a)historical paths in a new, Great War. Experience a very different Russian or Chinese Civil War, become a stern japanese imperialist, be fascist at the bottom of your heart, or preserve world peace within the League of Nations forever. Of course you may stray off the path of history and create a very different Second World War...if you dare!
