At least I have some interesting books of financial accounting to keep me entertained
I can tell the guy is a bureaucrat first and foremost (in stats and faction association alike)...

Them's words to tempt fate if I ever saw any... I suspect Wanli will hear some more voices while tucked away safely in his fortress prison - the voice of the Empress of Hell, to be precise. I think Harry and the Queen Mother are in for a rather nasty surprise, sooner rather than later.
the war against France fares pretty well and I imagine you can continue to coast comfortably, assuming you can keep assembling those monstrously oversized fleets to swat the French ships with.
A finer opening speech there has never been.
What's the EUIII equivalent of the SSPCA?
And I admire his obsession with Fort building. You can't be too careful - though can a Fort protect him from peach stones, peacock-feather shuriken and similar 'accidents'?
In the game, it looks like you're doing a good job of keeping the French at a safe distance. Do they have any colonies you could liberate, or at least land some troops on to make them more likely to peace out?

Nice to see an assertive emperor for a change... does it mean he'll die in an even more horrible way?
The military modernisation is very punishing, but definitely worthwhile if you are going to have regular wars with Europeans, especially France and Sweden... luckily the QM is doing all the legwork to avoid one with GB
Learned today rather randomly that in Poland peacocks means the same thing as the Scottish play!
The 'leather cannons' banter seems a bit... well... let's not dwell on it.
Other than that, Wanli is turning out to be quite the pillock. I'm sure he'll get his comeuppance soon enough - if not from Harry, I suspect someone more capable will be making her grand return. The 31 regiments rising in Delhi were only a foretaste... What better time for Astarte to reappear than when Ming is at -3 stability and has some additional negative modifiers going on as well?
Those Eastern Tercios and the new naval idea should keep the Europeans at bay more comfortably from now on... Will the peacocks start adopting western ways too?
That merchant guy is trying to sail west to discover a trade route to India? He has a better sense of direction than that Genoan chap, I'll give him that, but I think someone should point out that the route has been known for a while already.
I like that first exchange: it's not even necessarily that Harry has the bog-standard 'Signature-goes-here-for-loss-of-soul-and-eternal-damnation' form, he's content enough to bluff his way through the whole thing with a crude forgery. Of course, Harry's track record in obtaining souls leaves something to be desired, but hey, he's willing to give it another go.
The second exchange has me humming 'Stuck in the middle with you' and envisioning Michael Madsen doing his little dance-with-razor in Reservoir Dogs.
I'd have thought westernizing fully would b orth it simply because Latin techgroup gives so much better neighbour bonuses than Eastern.
Perhaps he thought someone wanted to shear his ear, instead of share it? Easy enough mistake to make...[QM – Harry that is disgusting put it away]
[H – sorry, thought he asked for someone to shave ears, not share them]
I can imagine the scandal taking shape: Cash for Ears... Nice that you are getting some good money events, makes a change from the stab hits you used to get. But worryingly, has Astarte taken the Bohemian colours?
And where has MorningSider gone? Do you think he might have overdone the celebrations? Edinburghers are very adept at preaching moderation to their west coast neighbours... until it's their turn to overindulge
Prospering Times indeed! Ming shall be a haven of scholarship and academia. Ming and Australia. Mingese Australia? Mingstralia?
With some of the nice trade goods in that area, how are your CoT/s looking? Should be pretty prosperous. Is tax your biggest form of income, or is Production catching up? That's one of my measurements of how successful I've been - the closer my Production income is to my tax income, the happier I am.
@aldriq: He'll be fine. And it's not every day Hearts see off the Hibbies 5-1 in a cup final. As a true Scot, drink will not cause him any problems: our version of blood poisoning is having too much blood in our alcohol systems.
Perhaps he thought someone wanted to shear his ear, instead of share it? Easy enough mistake to make...
Wanli is a thoroughly annoying git. Especially as he seems to have all the luck in the world (to go with all the lack - of any redeemable skill - in the world).
So, Astarte's picking things up from Bohemia? I would've thought Britain would be more her style - from her past/future experience - but hey, she's resurrected from the dead, I guess you can't be too picky.
