I wonder why some have announced the creation of new socialist parties when the FNT still exists?

Fernandez: Guilty
Nostrada: Guilty
De Escovedo: Guilty
De Santa Rosa: Guilty

Bolivia: Independent
Uruguay: Independent
Paraguay: Independent
Argentina: Keep - Though I do not like doing this, but I think it is best to keep the countries of Chile and Argentina united under a common government for keeping peace in south america.

Brazil: Return
Peru: Keep - That land was claimed before the fascists were even thought about as far as I know.

Additionally, I would like to extend a hand of friendship to the Liberales. I am sure that having our two factions standing together will be handy, especially since we possess similar goals.

- Mantiago Retruécano

And so the 2nd Rosenoist Tyranny is over, and I stand here as a winner. As I promised all those years ago I would fight and I have fought. And so has the people of Chile! The 4th Republic has been declared and the surviving members of the Junta are put on trial. Our democracy is back. I will probably run for Chief of Staff, next election, and believe me, I am getting too old for the field. But I still think I can do more for the Chilean armed forces and for FNT. Our first meeting as a legal political party was glorious. I saw faces I hadn't seen since the coup. I believe FNT has a great future, and I am sure the same goes for all these new political parties I hear about. It seems the Chilean political scene will be as vibrant as ever.

Ah, to walk the streets of Santiago again.

I am becoming old and weary. As the Navy, at last returned to the mainland, is in terrible shape - I will remain as Admiral for the new government if they will have me. Once the fleet is rebuilt, though, I plan to retire - hopefully by then there will arise capable leadership to continue the naval tradition.

In their actions against the people of Chile and the forces of democracy in the revolution, these men showed the same colors they had flown throughout the coup and the years of government. It is treason, plain and simple.

- These nations we should release and support as they too develop working governance. I believe we must maintain some influence to keep them from falling to instabilities as a young government gets set up again, although Uruguay perhaps has the best chances to survive without as much help.
Argentina: Keep - Argentina had been impoverished and unstable for a long time before the coup. Returning them to pre-coup borders will do nothing but set them up for another period of rebellion and strife - it is not sustainable. Furthermore, they have long been the closest peoples to the Chileans (I do not mean in terms of national diplomatic relations or peaceable trade, of course), and Chile to the best of my knowledge has many Argentinians in its borders.

Brazil: Return.
Peru: Return.
- It is best to maintain good relations with our neighbors, working together without the threat of war as the nationalists did.

Considering that all the parties outside of the ruling party were banned, I do not think that it existed at the time of creation of my party.

- Xavier Karatskhelia, founder of the Partido Comunista de Chile.

Point of clarification: The land that would be returned to Peru would be the Ica region, not the Arequipa region.

The FNT is associated with the old order, the one which fell to the Fascists. We must begin a new party when were the worker's can thrive Partido Populista is that party.

For all of my life I knew that I was destined to become someone, to be a power player in the major battles both political and literal. And a polarizing figure I have indeed become. Surely, no one man here shall ever forget my contributions to the state of Chile. I do not pretend to have supported a more liberal agenda. And to this day, my ideology shall not change, as it is infallible. I will never change my tune of sound Conservative politics in both fiscal and social arenas, because they work. During our reign, Chile has expanded to soaring new heights against all odds. And now, you all threaten to throw that away by handing rebels and revolutionary rabble the reigns of their hapless mud pits. You are the guilty ones! We have, in our compassion, spread our benevolent rule and economic prosperity to countless nations. And now you shall hurt their people in such a way as has not been seen before by returning them to the flames of foolishness. We are soon to fall victim to the folly of a warped liberal morality complex that has no place in actuality. I am only thankful that I shall not live to see our nation fall into ruin.

Alejandro Ruiz de Escovedo,
Senator, 2 term Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Minister of National Security

I apologize to all those who have suffered under this regime, and to the families of the brave men who fell, on both sides. I sincerely hope that this new government will lead Chile back into a free, republican system, one which will be untainted by the rebellions of the Third Republic, and the authoritarianism of the Second. To help alleviate those families, I am donating my personal wealth (save my families businesses, and a small amount to keep them solvent) to a foundation.

As well, I want to say one final thing, since I do believe this shall be my final statement; I always tried to do what was right, what was for the best for Chile and for all Chileans, and what would save as many lives as possible. I have made mistakes, as I am sure all of us have, and I will not apologize for them; I did what I believed to be right, what I thought would help Chile.

Should I be found guilty, I ask only this; do not banish me from my beloved homeland; and I beg all of you to not leave me to rot in some prison cell. Allow me to die with honour and dignity, either by noose or by bullet.

- Augusto de Santa Rosa, former Colonel in the Chilean Army, former Armaments Minister, former Minister of the Interior

Francisco de Santa Rosa, former Minister of the Treasury and Ambassador to Italy, begins making preparations to return to Santiago.

I'm sorry you must have been away from Chile during those events. The capital had been taken by rogue generals who plotted to overthrow the republic. The president had given the order to flee the country with the navy. He had doomed every one of us ministers and generals. I just retook our capital and took the chance to improve the nation before the inevitable return to democracy.

And my friends have suggested me to suicide to prevent war trials. I have nothing to say. I am a pietous man and a priest, who will not fall into sin and therefore I will not take my life, for Jesus Christ will resurrect me at the end of days. I will accept my fate, either live to contribute to a socialist government and a tainted society, or die and go to heaven in peace. What ever the result, I will comply peacefully.

Except you declared your coup before the socialists took the capital.

"I admit my son was a Fascist Dictator, but he was not a tyrant. Never once did he not do anything that he thought wouldn't help Chile and make her prosper. I must state my joy though to return to Chile after 14 years of exile in Peru after my loss in the 5th Civil War, and I apologise that I had to fake my death. I would also like to state my joining in the Research Department of the Army. I shall lastly like to announce the foundation of the Frente Unitario de Trabajadores(United Workers Front).

May I ask you what the ideology of this new party is?

Furthermore the ministers and other civilian leaders were told to join the fleet to evacuate the capital, in order to avoid unnecessary deaths and governmental chaos. Instead of supporting the government's response to the communist coup, Fernandez and his allies deliberately sabotaged efforts by making it impossible to safely bring Rivera's Panama Canal Garrison to aid in the fight. All these men wanted was power.
