There was once a time when the Mapuchian peoples were independant. Indeed most Mapuche dream of a future of independance and self determination like we had before the Occupation of the Araucanía. Still we realize that judging by Chile's political ambitions this reality is a pipe dream. We do however have hopes that Chileans can look past themselves and grant limited autonomy to the Mapuchian peoples as well as other groups of aboriginals in Chile. So far we are pleased with the progress made in this area, embodied by the Equality Act, and hope that our peoples can continue to work together.

It has occured to me that it is not enough to fight the constitutional case from the ranks. If I want to preserve the foundations of the Republic from political malfeasance, then I must fight in Congreso, as well. This latest incident has marred all the political parties. It is time that we put an end to this partisan discord and forge a national government, which places the interests of the people and the Republic - and not the party - at the forefront of its agenda.

I would respectfully ask you, Senor de Conti, what your platform would be. Would you run on a Republicano platform for your "nonpartisan Government" aspirations, or would you make a mockery of our primaries and run on another party's line?

I would ask, too, how the latest incident, by which I assume you mean the Comunista rebellion, has marred anyone of the political right. We stood strong alongside our Government, you and I, and it is not right nor fair to say that we Republicanos had any part to play but a virtuous and ultimately victorious one in the Comunista rebellion.

It is our duty, General de Conti, to lead an ideological crusade to return Chile to a time of prosperity. With the work done by Rivera, we are well on the path. I know how I would and will proceed if elected as Presidente, but I am curious to understand your motivations.

We must unite behind a candidate with vision for the future. Crazzio, you and I have seen eye to eye on many an issue. Therefore, I would ask for your support in the coming election, given my Government experience. No doubt Chile could more readily employ you in a guaranteed cabinet position, if you get my meaning...

That goes for anyone! It is vital that we unite behind one banner, and I humbly assert that my own banner is the one most ripe for unison. Support will and must be met with gratification, my friends; there is no other way to win the hearts and minds of the Congreso and of the people.

To the militarists, the armed forces will enter a golden age never before witnessed! You shall have the finest rifles and artillery, and the best training and supply. Security of Chile and her people is the most important objective that I have.

Fiscally, I am determined to lower the exorbitant taxes on every strata. It is important to add fuel to the glowing economy by giving every Chilean the ability to purchase goods.

This is but a sampling of my goals! We must unite behind a Republicano candidate for the good of the party and of the country, and we must do it quickly! Vote for Escovedo, and you vote for prosperity, values and security!

Ahh it is off no importance now though! Although we may both be running for President, we are running for different parties and therefore will not come to verbal blows just yet. I am humbled that you would hold me in such high esteem as to so readily offer me a post in your cabinet and I in turn extend the same offer to you. I cannot back down, not after all of the public celebrations I have planned and funded. Tonight the streets of Santiago will be stained red with wine. For now we need not bicker. Instead come, join in the revelry of my supporters and know that whatever happens in this election that I shall run a fair and friendly campaign against you. If the Liberales or Socialistas begin to gain momentum we will need to consolidate the right under one candidate, however for now we can still run our own campaigns even as we support each other.
