Who has said these people are followers of German? You can not go around and push all Liberals into one category, less you wish for us to put all Communists into the same as Juarez. These misled people are no more Germanistas than Renin is a Juarez.

They are still our people. Your quick reaction towards condemning them to death is unbefiting of someone in the Congresso. God help us if someone such as yourself ever becomes our President. Peace and understanding will do more good than harm, violence is not always the way when our people become disatisfied with our governing. Reforms in our politics must obviously be implemented, less we see another rising by the people in 10 years time.
Perhap's it is, then again I am not in the congresso, I am a soldier and I do my duty to the best of my ability. I protect and serve the government of Chile, and I do my best to protect my country from all threat's, foreign and domestic. However democracy cannot survive it is bound to the whim's of men who wish to assert their ideology by force.
Peace! They are rebels, that is all we need to know. Most liberals (myself included) have already condemned these attacks, but many of these radicals are professed Germanistas (jingoistic anarcho-liberals), so the Senor was correct. However, his statements were verging on an irrational hatred of the liberal system that led Chile through two decades of prosperity.

I would like to remind my compatriots in the Congreso of my amendments to my bill. The tariff has been reduced to 2%, thus creating a 3% overall tax decrease that makes goods from all countries that much cheaper. Thus, proportionate to income, Chilean goods become 5% easier to buy while foreign goods become only 3% easier to buy.
Whether or not they are radicals, they are still Chileans. While we must stop their movement for stability, we should not do it with satisfaction. It is a grave business.
