"Comrade, I am for a unified coalition of workers. But, one of the two parties would have to cede leadership to the other. We can have what one wants, not the other. There is no compromise here. The Socialists want a continued moderate republic. We want a dictatorship of the Proletarian. Running a third candidate, in the hope of unifying two forces leaderships that cannot be unified, will only split the vote even more. Goglow did win, with the aid of the liberales. But those few liberales that are still around, will support him once again. Besides the fact, that the only way that the conservators have gotten into power is with the aid of the liberales, in times past. Add to the fact that they're divided between a conservative and reactionary candidate, and they're just as divided as you claim us to be. Comrade, you must have faith. Apart, we will not be crushed. Together, the leadership of both parties, will succumb to infighting and squabbling not seen since the days of old. If the choice is between inaction and debate, and a bit less electoral support, I'll take the latter, and take it with my life. For a revolutionary force that fights itself, is no revolutionary force at all. It is merely fulfilling the will of the reactionaries it fights so hard against."

-Comrade Armando Renin

Crushed by who? The liberales, no, the republicanos, no, the patriotas. No.

Party: Republicanos
Candidate: Francisco de Santa Rosa
Coalition: Patriotas, FNT?
C. Candidate: Francisco de Santa Rosa

Which is why we need a man who can stand for the beliefs of both party's, who can represent both of their values in Santiago, I believe myself to be that man. I believe not in individual party's but in the cause of the worker's and I see the best way to help this cause is not through bickering and party politic's, but for unity and brotherhood for all the working men of Chile.

"And I'm trying to tell you comrade, that trying to unite the two leaderships will only cause bickering, and lead to even more splintering among the workers. You can't have a unified front between the two groups without choosing between one of the two paths to follow."

You really expect Gogolow to rescind his candidacy in favour of you?

Senor Juarez, I think you are well intentioned but I fear your attempts to unite these two parties are misguided. Senor Renin is correct that while we broadly support the same things, the methods we wold employ are so maredly different that there is little hope of the two parties working together. I suspect with your moderate beiefs you would be better placed to join the FNT.

Captain Rios

((Ouch, harsh))
I disagree, a canidate of moderation between the two sides is necessary if we want to keep La Moneda away from the reactionary's.

The FNT wants to implement socialism on a democratic basis. The Communistas wish to implement a dictatorship of the proletariat. And in case you hadn't noticed, we use a run-off system.

((You were asking for it :)))

((Oy, TH, change me policies to this: State Capitalism
Free Trade
Secularism
Full Citizenship
Anti-Military))

Party: FNT
Coalition: No Coalition
Coalition Candidate: Sérgio Gogołów

It seems there is little support for coaliton, a pity. I only hope that the Communista's or FNT manage to beat the opposition. It will not be an easy battle. If I do not get a single supporter in the congreso by the day's end ((In a couple of hours)) I will drop from the race and endorse comrade Remin.

State Capitalism and Free trade, interesting.

I cannot vote due to being away from the Capital at this time. If anyone asks, I am not discreetly killing Liberales but I push my support for either the Honorable Gogolow, or the honorable de Rosa, both who understand moderation in the face of radicalization.

OOC:You guy's do realize since Gogolow is running unopposed for FNT nomination you don't need to vote for him, right?

((Those are for Coalition Candidate I am quite sure, in the very unlikely event that a coalition would happen anyway.))

((We both just copy/pasted from Dyranum's.))
