Aragon treats the old soldier to another drink, and begins to inquire his position in the Civil War. The man, still in his cups, cries as he says he supported the government. Both of his brothers were killed by Revolutionary soldiers, and his sister killed in a house raid.

Aragon laments with the poor soldier, cajoling him, gunning for his loss.

"I have something to tell you," Aragon tells the man, "I was not a fellow soldier under The Red Guard. You are speaking to Aragon, Minister of War"

The last sentence was yelled out, and the whole bar stairs at the disheveled man. The drunk man gets up yelling "traitor".

"I remember your brother, Zepeda talked about how he personally assassinated him after capture,"

Aragon doubles over, as the Drunk man hits him in the stomach, "And your sister, the boys talked about her alright,"

Aragon is slammed to the floor, his mouth feels raw, he begins to laugh at the enraged Drunk man.

"And her child... You know how war is",

He begins to feel dizzy, as the Drunk launches him against the wall.

"We all have freedoms," Aragon yells between his coughing laughter, "Remember to embrace your freedoms".

He begins to yell, "Freedom para los..."

But the lights go out, and Aragon left Chile for the last time.

((Don't I've picked the date; it's fairly clever (in my opinion)! And it would definitely ease the mind of the laissez-faire proponents who voted for you simply because you weren't a communist ;). Regardless, he'll be gone in... about two years, so that tropical island probably isn't necessary... unless the zombies do return; you've been warned Cesar! :p ))

((Eh, as you've said: he'll die soon. No point in appointing a Treasury Minister who's going to die soon anyway.))

((I hope your new character is a general, zaggoroth.))

With Andonie dead and the liberale elite destroyed and with no reason to stand guard for the time being, for good or for ill, I and the few followers I have (I've gotten to calling them the fascistas, after the Roman fasces) will lay down our arms and return to civilian life. No more shall we agitate against the Republic, for those who made it corrupt and inefficient have since been removed.

((I realize that I can't stop agitating quite yet, so just consider this a token to represent my non-agitation as soon as the next election comes.))

(Perhaps I should make him a military man, I have not done that yet.)

They walk through the forest until they reach an impasse. A fork, two pronged, lay before them. One stretched to anarchy, one stretched to oppression. We have waltzed through the road of anarchy said He and we prepare to dive into the other road at that The men and women of Chile are silent Which path do we take he asks Chile Which path must we, the people of Chile, cross, here at the end of all things. The people begin to stir, they turn right from left, left from right, until they all stare straight ahead There is only one path we can take.

((Late response, I know.))

I am proud to have taken part in this wondrous stand of Democracy. However, as it so often comes with the responsibility and burdens of command, I am saddened at the great loss of life that has been brought about by the rebellion. However, I am confident that Gogolow - or Renin, whoever wins the election - despite their ideological views respects and remembers the greatest of all sacrifices many men gave to give them the title of El Presidente

- Gen. Sebastian Hidalgo

Viva la Chile, we have won the fight comrades, and I speak not to my fellow soldiers within the Red Guard but to all loyal sons of Chile. Goglolow I wish you the best of luck during your presidency hopefully you are able to push through some socialist ideals. As to Alvarez, well met sir, you were a fair opponent, perhaps my partisanship did me in, in the end. Never the less I hope you at least hear my pleas for a balanced military and better pay for the soldiers.

((Oi, TH! Clear your inbox.))

((Roseno and Miramontes are a former Nacional and Republicano respectively, and both are former generals.

As for admirals, I believe that we only had the one, Alvarez, who is now Chief of Staff.))

((As Dyranum said, Sebastian is dead. And never, and I mean absolutely never, was he ever a Nacional. He was a Liberale through and through, and just so there is never any doubt, he would have sided against this past coup..

And now, I have no idea what kind of character to make :( Without the instability of a successful coup, I have no basis for the character I was creating.))

((I'm planning on making some sort of politician soon and I have no idea what ideology he'd even fall in. Definitely a reformist though.))

((Perhaps a communista :D, but seriously you could still make a proto-fascist nationalist, I don't see why you couldn't. ))

"I am proud today. I am proud of the members of the Revolutionary Democratic Front that took De Vasces into holding. I am proud of the Chilean sons that repelled the motion of a society completely dominated by the wealthy. I am proud, of the citizens of Chile. Fight the oppression my comrades!"

-Comrade Armando Renin

((Zombie Cesar will come back to re-create his zombie empire and conquer the world!))

((Anybody know if the CoS is allowed to command an Army/Fleet? We're in kind of a sticky situation regarding a severe shortage of Admirals...))

((I don't see why not. It has just never happened. But, with a shortage of qualified naval leaders, I don't see why Alvarez couldn't maintain an active command position.))
