On a blustery October day, a stoic, quiet man rose to the podium as a crowd of his supporters cheered him on. Among them was a deranged man who began fidgeting with a case strapped into his vest. As soon as the candidate began to speak, the man withthe case shouted at the top of his lungs, "Long live the Tsar! Death to Traitors to the Empire!" and immediately pulled the string. An explosion followed, and when the dust settled, it became clear that the bomber and the candidate were nowhere to be found.

And thus, Admin Tamzarian became the first victim of a suicide bombing.
((Well that certainly makes things interesting, any reason why you killed off your character))

(Interesting move)

It is unfortunate that Mr. Tamzarian died to such an example of extremism in the name of something so un-democratic. We must put our ideals of freedom, of full representation, of glorious illustrious Republicanism, above all else

((To LeroyJenkins: I'm going to try something new soon. There is to be no distractions))

Polls close tomorrow morning. And I can't help but notice you're all violently killing your characters like it's on sale.

((No! Not my candidate! :( ))

The loss of Senor Tamzarian is yet another sign of the political instability of this nation. Yes, he may have been slain by a foreigner, but that our candidates are so poorly protected is a dark sign. We must take measures to ensure other political leaders are not murdered by radicals from this nation.

*Growing fear of political assassinations a la Fascist Italy*

Subercasseaux, since you are the only remaining Liberale candidate, what is your stance on the issues pertinent to today (the war we 'won,' the possibility of a Liberale-FNT coalition, what coalition you do support, how to curb these strings of bloody murder of presidential candidates.

((it's a brutal campaign. Say what you will about mine but at least the candidates were not dying he he he :) ))

This tyranny must stop. The extremes are having their way and this must end. I would urge all parties to reign in their respective radical fringes and let us hold these elections in peace.

Presidente Andonie

((I just realized something, right now the FNT canidate would win be the coalition canidate :), Gogolow if this works, I will take back everything bad I said about you))

Señor Santa Rosa, as for the Argentinian War, I was against it from the start even though I'm a considerable jingo, because I thought it was a time for greater integration between Latin American countries - I am proud to say I helped in such integration by pushing constantly for the dream-now-come-true of OTLA in my three terms as Foreign Minister. You may check my voting record on this.

As for the political landscape today, I am favourable to a coalition with the FNT and would like support from the Republicanos as well, if they so wish, since our policies aren't much different and history shows we can work together well for the benefit of Chile. I think if the Patriotas follow the views of Weissmüller, they are a danger to our nation's stability, and such are the Comunistas with their revolutionary empty rhetoric.

And of course, political assassinations and threatening coups can be foreseen, prevented and quenched by the establishment of an intelligence agency.

- Minister Lorenzo Subercaseaux

I believe an intelligence agency would be too much, especially in the hands of a strong armed, manipulative president to abuse.

Beyond that, I feel you are a strong presidential candidate so I will endorse Subercasseaux in his campaign!

Sound like your a bit to nostalgic for the Roseno's empire and Weismuller's Sr. "Department of State Securit"

The role of an intelligence agency isn't to probe people's lives, harass legitimate organizations and put down peaceful protesters like the Empire did. It serves as the police force of the 3rd Republic - if you don't threaten the Republic and democratic government, you have nothing to lose. I lost two of my brothers fighting the Empire, and my family, through the Aurora de Chile, has always pushed for greater freedoms, such as I have, constantly. Again, check my voting records. Your implications make no sense, Señor.

Exactly what Weismulller did, secret police will serve the interests of the people in power and not the people themselves, giving up freedom for security is never a square deal.

((Darn it, I'm agreeing with socialists!))

Senor Juarez is completely right. While I do not question you, Senor Subercasseaux, another Roseno would use this force to disastrous effect.

Senor... Bautista (?) is completely right. While I do not question you, Senor Subercasseaux, another Roseno would use this force to disastrous effect.
((Juarez, it's alright I am new and glad I forced you to agree with someone you can't stand :D. ))
Thank you senor, it gives me hope that Chileans of all party's will fight against tyranny.

((But then I ended it! But thank you for not censuring me in another AAR... I would've been a strange mixture of shock and confusion, with a tinge of "what?" in there...))

((I did that once when I read a proposed bill here and thought I was in the Presidents.

Weirdest thing ever: German acting relatively sane...))
