I change my vote to No coalition and urge all liberals to do the same. With our split vote we will do a cortez and run no candidate. We can always negotiate later.

Presidente Andonie

Liberale Presidential candidate: Andonie: His opponents stance on Atheism will deter those of different beliefs from coming to our glorious shores, homogenize our society into dangerous levels, and stop our glorious expansion due to illustrious immigration. Pluralism, freedom of religion, is what the people of Chile deserve.

Edited from before: No Coalition, we Liberales must be united

Chile para los chilenos!

Señor Aragon, I would like to point out to you I do not propose State atheism, for it is horrendous and would go against my political view and morals. On the contrary, what I uphold is TRUE freedom of religion, and with it the stability a secular government provides.

((Really, as I said, "atheism" in Vicky2 is what we call secularism today. Pluralism still "actively encourages the state religion" and all.))

That being said, I heed the call of Andonie and switch my vote to No coalition, while encouraging others to do the same as well. ((I'll change it on my voting post as well))

- Minister Lorenzo Subercaseaux

((You know, isn't it kinda pointless for the Commies and FNT-ers to vote for presidential candidate? There is only one for both of them.))

((I'm going to put off my vote for a coalition til later))

It is disconcerting but not surprising at all that the majority of the Liberales are supporting a roll back of political reforms - where liberalism is supposed to support expansion of political reforms, the Liberales are seeking to repeal the Secret Ballot, and are voting thusly for the Non-Secret Ballot, which has the sole purpose of making it easier for ruling party thugs to intimidate voters.

Party: Republicanos
Candidate: Jorges Roseno
Coalition: With Nacionales and FNT
Coalition Candidate: Abstain
Reform: Proportional Voting, All Unions Allowed

((Rogov, we don't have secret-ballots. We are voting to enact non-secret ballots as we havn't gotten it yet. Why else would TH say we can vote for it and not secret-ballots on the Primaries page?))

Name: Barrio Bautista
Affiliation: Communistas
Born: 1861

Born in a small village in Patagonia, oppression and poverty were well known to Bautista throughout his childhood. As a young man Bautista was given little educational instruction and was only taught to read and write through the efforts of his grandfather, an ardent Socialist. Now Bautista looks to the future and hopes to bring peace, stability, and equality to Chile.

((I had THE BIGGEST story for this guy but then my computer shut off :(. It was epic. He took over a Chilean outpost and massacred capitalists while they rejoiced at their fortunes. Therefore, please let the cool pic override the abhorrent introduction.))

((AFAIK, we actually do have non-secret ballots. Also, check TH's post, it says that we vote on Secret Ballots while the example ballot gives Non-Secret Ballots as an example))

((That needs to be fixed >.<
Maybe that is why everyone has put down non-secret ballots? I for one don't read any of that other stuff.))

((Yeah, I saw "Non-Secret Ballots" as an example and thought we didn't have it yet. Editing my original post.))

Extract from the Chilean Marxist magazine, "The Red Star"

"Comrade Renin's movement in Argentina has still been hard to follow, but news of another attack to free the people of The Argentina from their reactionary overlords has surfaced. Comrade Renin, members of the Argentinian Red Guard units, also known as the Revolutionary Workers Brigades, and his own group of followers, the People's Revolutionary Vanguard, are believed to have taken over large sections of suburb in Buenos Aires itself! This is a great development in the continued struggle against oppression, for people everywhere. We may very well see the first workers state in the coming months! The wish you good luck in your continued struggle, Comrade Renin! May you bring down the oppressive behemoths everywhere they meet you!"

((That needs to be fixed >.<

((Yeah, I was going to put down "Secret Ballots", but then I saw everyone else voting for "Non-secret ballots" and saw it in the example field - I guessed that it would be easier to typo out the "non" the one time it appeared rather than typo-ing in the "non" where it showed up. Fixed now, if indeed it is Secret Ballots which we can get [and if not, then Alvarez still supports whatever kind of ballot reform we need :p].))

Presidente Andonie

I am sorry, but I will not allow State Capitalism to take hold in this Republic. I will stick to Valentin Severino, as he supports Laissez Faire and Free Markets, even though he is a Nacionale.

Liberals! Open your eyes! The republicanos have been our allies for decades, but now their candidates are more conservative than the Nacionales' candidates and that worries me. They have Jorges Roseno, and another far-right candidate. They support State Capitalism, and we will not stand for that. Valentin Severino backs our views and have good grounds for a coalition between our parties. Vote for a coalition with Nacionales!

"You cannot expect a coalition without comprimise Senore. Dont forget what happened under Badajoz when he refused to reward the Conservadores for their support, effectivly the Liberales were pushed into the shadow for this fault, which I trust onto the President won't happen again."

- Minister of the Treasury, Romano

I am not asking for YOUR support. I want the Nacionales' support.

Pfft, Nacionales support Liberales? Especially when the Liberales are not only what is left of the traitorous Radicales, but also headed over by Santa Rosa who essentially put himself in power after the overthrow of Cesar Roseno? Thanks, but no thanks.

We will stand with the Republicanos if it is necessary, but under no circumstances shall we support a Liberale.
