Election Coverage

((Parties in green are confirmed active, the others require one vote each.

Republicanos - 4
Comunistas - 3
Nacionales - 5
Liberales - 5
FNT - 3

Electoral Integrity Act:
Yea - 4
Nea - 15

I'm incredibly surprised at Severino joining the Nacionales if he so objects to the original Partido Nacionale. I would suggest the Partido Patriota if the Nacionales name offends.))

EDIT: (Forgot to vote myself)

Party: Nacionalistas!
Electoral Integrity Act: Yea!

(( Party names, anyone?

Liberal - Liberale Nuevo, Republicano, Libertad.
Conservative - Nationale Conservador, Conservador, Republicano, Moderato
Reactionary - Patriotica, Nationale
Socialist - FNT is fine...
Communist - Comunista, Radicale...

Perhaps the liberals and the conservatives, since we've gotten along well over the past decade (not the reactionaries and liberals, who have been at loggerheads for the better part of a decade) could form together as a liberal-conservative, moderate liberal party? I guess I'm interested in expanding party support, and having a more centrist policy could lead to more compromises to keep us in power...))

((As per Cesar's request.))

((You realise that referring to your own ideology as the center and then refusing to compromise with anyone does not make you a centrist or moderate.))

((I think I sense what is coming on...))

((The only thing I'm not willing to compromise on is laissez-faire; everything else is trinkets to me... my other liberals may not feel the same, though...))

While Senator Carnal and I rarely found ourselves in agreement, I send my condolences to his family, friends, and supporters. I can say, with all honesty, that he firmly believed in his ideals, and that he has shaped Chile's politics for many years to come...

I of course vote forFNT
We must remand unified in this time of great turmoil for the proletariat, besides it was what Comrade Carnal would have wanted.

((Following Komisha's example, parties in green are confirmed active, those in red are not.))

Republicanos: 4
Comunistas: 3
Nacionales: 5
Liberales: 5
FNT: 4

Electoral Integrity Act:
Yes: 5
No: 14
Abstain: 1

And yes, Seek. Agitators can vote in matters of party formation/roll call and party formation ONLY.

((Alright, thanks for confirming.))

I support the re-formation of Partido Nacionale (or whatever it is to be referred to as). Before the Santa Rosa Republic, before the Rosenoist Empire, the Nacionales were the only ones fit to lead Chile, and now once again they shall lead Chile to her destiny.

As for the rumors of my family being involved in the assassination of Carlos Carnal, we had absolutely nothing to do with his death. We would not grant such a fool a martyr's death.

A CALL TO ALL MARIXIST's SOCIALISTS, AND FRIENDS OF THE PROLETARIAT
I understand
I understand
your anger at the system
I understand your frustration with our victory's coming so close and slipping through our fingers
I understand why you want to form party communista,
BUT KNOW YOU ARE ONLY GIVING THE REACTIONARY'S WHAT THEY WANT AND SPIT IN THE FACE OF A GREAT MAN'S LEGACY
We must stand strong in this time of great strife and unite behind the FNT.

Armando Renin

Birth: May 6th, 1852.

Ideology: Marxist.

Backround: Born to a middle class family in the suburbs of Santiago, Armando was raised by liberal thinking parents. In the initial onslaught that was Cesar I's reign, The Renin family was forced to flee from their home, for fear of reprisal against his father and their family, due to his fathers work with local liberal papers. They fled into Patagonia, where they resided with family members on a farm. Upon the end of the Imperial regime, the Renin family returned to Santiago, only to find their house burned to the ground, as a result of the Battle of Santiago. Armando then began attending university in Santiago, only to become influenced by the writings of Marx, Engels, Ferran Marti, and the electric speaking of Carlos Carnal. Armando left university, and joined the FNT, as a member of their radical left faction.

I support the establishment of the Partido Communista.

((Yeah, I did it.))

As I'm sure you've all realized, that means that all five parties: Liberales, Republicanos, Nacionales, FNT, and Comunistas have received enough votes to exist. That's probably all the parties we'll need for a while... at least until The Third Way fires...

OOC: I must commend you for allowing us this many parties, TH. It makes for a much more realistic parliamentary system.

Props for whoever can figure our who that's a picture of.
