A bold question that is :p

Now that's worth looking into. Maybe tweaking the ocean provinces there so they all connect with a corresponding one on the opposite side of the globe with an impassable route(to avoid funky navy bits).

Also... those missile submarines should be able to fire rockets!

Thats what I was thinking, but also maybe link the russian and canadian provinces together by impassable routes, so planes and missiles can cross! Wit such things MAD could be now simulated also. An even quicker end for which ever superpower starts nuclear war!

I don't know why there's been such a sudden spark in the talk of the nuclear war when the main scenario isn't even finished.

Don't know about you folks, but that interests me far more than any a-historic nuclear war ATM, and all effort should be put towards their.

Thanks for the voice of reason :)

With the current tempo of changes getting implemented, it can't be a priority thing although some day I'll take care of this, you may be assured. :)

hey can you help me I don't know where to find the game file is I bought the game off steam

It's in your [SteamPath]\steamapps\common\Darkest Hour\ folder.
No point in owning the game via Steam, as all Steam does is take the full game, place it there, than run an overlay over it. No perks at all, and in reality it just slows it down.
I recommend copy/pasting the game from there to your C:\Games\ folder and run a shortcut from there. Don't have to meddle with Steam to get the game working, than.

Hello gentlemen,
Excited I installed the mod provided by you and followed
instructions.
But change only comes with the stage "new world order" of the year 45 and when I try to play with a country, the game moves to the loading screen but nothing happens and you have to go to the desktop.
Help?
thanks
My cheksun is CHMX i think

OK, BTW, I don't want to quash your discussion about WW3 mechanics but I know best it's not going to materialize in the following weeks so some of ideas may get lost in the process. :) I note all the crucial points in my todo notes so they'll eventually find their way into the mod but it's mostly concrete bug reports. I'll post a link to my roadmap so you can find it easier and see what's going to be made sooner than later.

I don't have a quick access to the proper checksum because my personal copy is "in the works" and some 1.7.7/1.8.0 changes are already added to it and I think I may have done some one or two alterations to DH Full folder itself. But I can check it later. However, I really think that at least some of the problems are cause by the fact that you didn't copy the mod over a copy of DH Full folder but unpacked the mod straight to the Mods directory.

i have that loading issue above also but my game functions normally. As Commie china i got to mid 50s and the game turned quite laggy (still playable but slightly uncomfortable). I Saved and tried to reload as several other countries. (Uk, USA, France, USSR). the Uk and USA loaded fine but france the and USSR had the loading problem. For the people who have reported the bug i think you've installed it wrongly because mine games is fine when i load the 45' scenario but fails to load later in the game. Perhaps it is the debug file being flooded??

EDIT : I found a thread where the devs spoke about speed optimisation and it appears that the mod may be slowing down in later years for this reason

"Another things, mostly interesting for total conversion mods.
Higher soft-/hardattack values slow the combat engine down.
Each attack increases the amount of attacks that are checked every hour in combat, so it far more economical to reduce the amount of attacks and increase the damagemultiplicator instead.
Only remeber to keep enough attacks to even out the random factors in the hit/damage calculation."

in fact the whole thread may be relevant so i'll post a link :D

No sir, i disagree, i followed all your instructions and doesn´t works..
Ideas?

OK, so sorry for my generalization. When the game fails to load and you alt+tab to the desktop, i presume the game doesn't crash so you can click on the taskbar button again to bring the window to the forefront. There should be an error message, what does it say?

About slowing the game down in later game years, it's still so much better than AoD. I really hope that we get some treatment for this from the developer team because changing unit models (to tinker with attack values) is one of things I rather wouldn't tacle with in this mod.

I uploaded a little 1.7.7 release which brings no compelling changes but a couple of fixes noted down to be corrected. As for 1950 scenario, the political setup is already done but I still have the biggest task, namely OOBs, to be taken care of.

:)

I already gathered 60 province pics to use in this mod :)

Hi, i tried this mod with a normal game i started in 1936, but at the end of the war when i annexed germany as soviet union nothing happened, germany was divided in two half american half soviet and stop, the borders of hungary Bulgaria and Romania didn't set up at their correct place, nothing....in few words,i didn't see the events that create the after-war borders of europe...why?

End of war events for surrenders, liberations and adjustments of borders, known from NWO1, aren't implemented yet. The only thing I did is to detect that Germany is defeated and enable post-war events for already existing countries. This matter is a high-priority one and originally I planned it to be included in 1.8.0 but I changed it so I can create and share my post-1945 scenario(s). Still, those event chains are no more than a couple of releases away and the German surrender is going to appear first.

Sweden had "Our HoG has died" in 1946 and the replacement was National Socialist Martin Ekström-probably an old vanilla event since there is a NWO one putting Erlander in place around this time.

Australia had an event about Gloucester becoming new Governor, but he already is Governor at gamestart, so this event can be added to the dormant events of 1945 scenario.

sir, simply i don´t see the 1950 scenario or so, only 1945 and scenarios of WW2
