    Hi.

I am Anton and huge mount and blade fan. I am really looking forward to this game.

You can just call me Miles. I'm super pumped for this game. M&B has been incredible since its release, but it's time for something updated, something fresh. Games like these are making my childhood dreams come true!

    Hello.

My name would be Ghost, since my real name is private. I am 17 years old, and I've been a PC gamer for over 11 years, now. The medieval era, and pretty much everything before it, the rise of Rome, for instance, pretty much any era with swords has fascinated me since I've been about 6 years old. That's when I've tried my first game, which would be Age of Empires. I've been playing Mount and Blade games ever since the first one came out, and my favourite one would definitely be Warband, with the Napoleonic Wars expansion. This isn't a long introduction, but who cares?

Also, looking forward to the game, a lot. Checking the Steam Store every day to see if it can be pre-ordered.

    Hello.

My name is Eirik i am 18 years old and come from Norway. I have played Mount and Blade Warband since the beta. Majority of the time i played Mound and blade it was on the mod Mount
and musket (now the game Napoleonic wars) but played a lot of Native befor release of mount and musket (NW) and after. Im in a small clan/community called TrG who plays all kind of mods in mount and blade, atm Nord Invasion. I have had a interest in medieval era and musket era that is mostley why i got so addicted to Mount and blade and i hope War of the roses becomes as equal
    good or even bether

I hope to see you all on the battlefield, eather fighting beside you guys or against you

Hello, my name is Johann and I am Ekky's liege lord.

*coughs nervously* I'm Kirjava and this is only my second post on the Paradox forums. I only got into Paradox games with Crusader Kings 2- now I've picked up Europa Universalis 3 in the Steam Summer Sale (and Magicka, does that count?) and I've morphed into an avid Paradox fan. WotR looks awesome, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get into the beta. Nice to meet you all!

    Welcome to the community!

Ahoy, I am Happytrees, I guess I should just throw out a few things about me eh?

Well, I've been playing Paradox games ever since I played Mount and Blade v.751, and the only newer games I play are from Paradox.

I'm super critical about games, and whine about everything associated with casual gaming, "accessibility"(aka even those with single-digit IQ's can play!), micro-transactions, and anyone who looks at features of a video game "from a business standpoint"(occupy intarnetz, amirite? I'm such a hipster)

Velveeta shells and cheese is the best.
Call of Duty 13 or whatever they're on to now, is the worst.
Console gaming, excluding pre-gamecube nintendo and the sega Dreamcast, is the 2nd worst.

I don't know why I'm writing this or why you're still reading it, but I guess that makes us pals.

    Cheers.

    Nay it won't.
So, me name you can read on the left... And Yeah "War of the Roses" looks kinda interesting. Me wont compare it with other known and hereby often quoted games, due to the fact that War of the Roses has awoke me interest from another kinda perspective. In some vids the game looks wee bit like virtual enabled reenactement-scene. And that's exactly what interests me - how they (the developers) try to transport the feeling of actually being that knight or bowsman there on the battlefield. That you might not just click your way through some listed skills or monsters or men, sort of, but rather think (or even *not* think, but *do*) the strike you want to make. Or your defense. Aye, I know, all this was -in a way- implemented in said game (which I like, too, but refuse to mention namely), but War of the Roses looks as if goes 1 or 2 steps further. I did (and will do again) swordfights and also shooting the bow with much joy and i really would like to see it transported into a virtual world in an almost realistic way, though there's a danger I might suck at fighing ingame...

In a short: - interested in the game from another perspective, than most of ye folks.
    - really do hope there are some active reenactement guys among ye developers And I dont speak of show-fights, but of battles with at least some 100 peoples at arms.
    - i wont hail one or the other company for their glory or other reputation. I'm so swiss.

Damn,I'm not sure I can beat the guy above me,but (are yo even supposed to put commas before 'but') anyway,I'm a pretty sad person living a pretty sad life with no friends and family that hates me.I used to have friends
though I was an asshole to them and now I lost those guys too.I'm trying to fix myself now,but since most people hate my ass,I guess it was easier to start 'ere on the nets.My new life goals are to make everyone's (and in
turn, mine) better and one way to do that is beta test this amazing looking game that seems to have potential to be way better in combat than the Mount&Blade series, which I love.

Indeed you are supposed to, especially with that fill-in of "[...], sort of, [...]" which definitely requires comma as far as I'm taught. And the correct plural for comma is also comma - but I have to admit I had to look it up meself. Although in slang that may differ. As to your initial aim, you had (almost) beat me to it.

    So, feel welcome!

PS: Yes I was editing this post up to 3-4 times to clear it off typos.. *sighs*

I'm UsF, from Germany and a Paradox-"member" since Hearts of Iron 2 (HoI 1 was before my time).
Looking forward for WotR and potential modding to turn it into a medieval like ArmA.
Other than that, there is nothing wrong with a good old axing.

Hello! My name is Marcus and i'm almost totaly new to the paradox gaming world (i have played a bit eu3 before but not much) I saw WotR for the first time a few weeks before Dreamhack summer when everyone who bought a seat there got an alpha key. My friend said that he thought it looked kinda cool ( he's a MnB fan) so we downloaded it and started gaming a bit. I was hooked after a few games haha, really awesome game. We ended up playing the dreamhack tournament but got knocked out by the team who won in the semi finals. nothing really more to say, hope that i can learn more from this forum and become good at this game ^^

Hope more will notice the game and will have a nice community
