Suppose someone is not the Clan leader (like, say, me), it would be nice, if there were messages that keep me updated about what is going on on the Clan-Level (War, Peace, Civil War, Secessions).

Couldn't you get those by turning on message on the leaders portrait?
Yes, you could. If you add all the leaders of your clan, remember to add new ones when they inherit, join the clan, are given land but I'm sure you'll miss some. You also have to readd them every time you load a game. At the moment it's a PITA.
