Werewolf Meso

Welcome to Werewolf Meso. A game of lies, deception, manipulation and anarchy. Here, we change your reality and force you to view things in a manner like no other. Please, come in, have a seat, and enjoy the ride.

If you are new to the game, please read the following. Werewolf Meso is a game of survival. Your main goal, no matter your role, is to survive. There are three sides to every game. The Villagers and Seer are together on one side. The Werewolves are divided into two sides called Packs. Each side's goal is to destroy the other two. The game is played with nineteen players. Out of these nineteen, five are given a special role. Four are Werewolves, and one is a Seer. The Werewolves are known to each other, but the Seer's identity is none only to himself. If the Seer's identity is revealed, the Werewolves may hunt their most dangerous enemy. If the Werewolves' identities are revealed, the village will surely lynch the monsters.

The Game is divided into two sections. Day and Night. The game begins with a Night session. During the Night, each Pack hunts one person, and the Seer may discover the role of one player. During the day, the villagers must decide who is responsible for the murder of the night past.

Every game has a special theme. To discover the theme for this game, scroll down, and let your Werewolf Journey begin...

La Cosa Nostra

For years you, the pride of Sicily, have run the largest criminal organisation in America. The society is paralysed by corruption and your bribes reach from the lonely policeman patrolling in the streets to top of society. Opposition is met with brute force and sudden death as no man can walk safely through the night. As you see society crumble before your very eyes you grown braver for each night. The latest executions have been carried out in broad daylight, in the middle of the streets. The police has so far always been conveniently late to the scene and no witnesses can be found.

But will your golden age last? Rumor has it that across the Pacific two lawless groups gather to claim new prizes and now their aim is set for the US. The Japanese Yakuza and the Chinese Triads are enemies to be feared, enemies that cannot be bought. To face this new threat you have summoned a meeting where only the leaders of each family is welcome. For safety concerns and to avoid drawing attention to yourselves the meeting is being held in a hotel far from larger cities. But is the loneliness a security, or does something sinister lurk in the woods?

Rules

There shall be nineteen (19) players. Special Roles will be handed out after the last person signs up.

The game will then proceed to a Night deadline.

The game is divided into two periods - night and day. For practical reasons these two periods take place at the same time, from one update till the next.
Each day, all players gather and decide to lynch one of the players - the person they think is most likely to be a werewolf. Each night, the werewolves decide who to kill. In each 24 hour period, the village will lynch, and the werewolves will hunt. The GM will reveal if a killed player is a villager, seer, or werewolf and will reveal the wolf's pack.

Each pack may hunt one person per night. They may also hunt the same person, or none at all. They may not hunt each other!

The villagers can try to lynch multiple people by creating a glorious, Lemeard-approved, TIE, and the werewolves can also decide not to hunt anyone at all at night. Beware of Crovaxian slips as well!

A werewolf pack wins if it reaches parity with the village and eliminates the other pack.
The village wins if all the wolves are dead.

Role-playing is encouraged but is not obligatory.

Roles

(14) Family leader - (Villager)
(2) Yakuza assassin - Loyal only to the Yakuza, these experts of disguise infiltrate and kill without remorse. (Pack A)
(2) Triad assassin - Loyal only to the Triads, these experts of disguise infiltrate and kill without remorse. (Pack B)

(1) Cop Hunter - An experienced infiltrator himself, this man finds infiltrators with ease.

I wasn't going to join a Meso, but with this theme I guess I have no choice but to be in.

I am going to hunt you for not updating the Children of Sun.

 That'll harm you in that regard if anything. :p

I appreciate being remembered though (others are pestering me about it and, heck, some dedicated souls voted to give an ACA to an AAR that hadn't been updated in two months...). It means a lot and indeed makes me want to bring it back ASAP. When that is, no-one knows.

In.

I've been gone from werewolf for some time. What is werewolf meso?

You have to pick a nickname, and you can only vote for nicknames, and use nicknames when ingame. That makes it more difficult to follow the thread, but also helps you not metagame.

So people that just say "in" are not in.

No, the "meso" part implies the fact that there are two packs of two wolves, one seer, and nineteen total players.

The manditory vote by nickname part was Bagricula being a Bagricula.

I, meanwhile, am not in.

In as a strangely Asian-looking family member.
