    MappaeMundi: EU3 world map creator

    Version 1.2.2
    This small program can help you to draw world map with specific countries painted with colors of your choice.

    Example:
    map.png

    System Requirements:
    Windows 7/Vista/XP with .NET Framework 4
    Europa Universallis Divine Wind 5.1

    Quick start guide:
    1. Select your EU3 main folder
    2. Select EU3 save game, click "Load Save" button
    3. Move country tags of your interest to the right
    4. Tune additional options
    5. Click "Save Map" button, select location and file format

    Tips:
    - When upgrading from previous version, delete MappaeMundi.cfg file
    - To reset program settings to defaults, delete MappaeMundi.cfg file or corresponding configuration lines
    - If you have several EU3 installations, keep separate MappaeMundi program folders, so you don't have to change configuration often

    Change Log:

    1.2.2:
    - "Water", "Neutral" and "Other" colors are now saved in .cfg file
    - fixed bug with tags being displayed in separate rows in list box

    1.2.1:
    - ability to quickly select human players
    - enabled Advanced tab
    - fixed bug with map files paths not being saved in the config
    - fixed bug where save game list wasn't cleared after new game folder is selected

    1.2.0:
    - draws country borders
    - draws customizable text

    1.1.0:
    - simplified UI
    - reads default country colors from your EU3 directory

    1.0.0:
    - draws impassable provinces
    - colors can be selected for water, ownerless and other provinces
    - "Draw Vassals" checkbox is global
    - PNG and JPEG format options for output file

    Mmmmmmh. Quite an interesting program - only, I'd add the wastelands/TI option, as of now sea and wastelands kind of merge.

    The borders are slightly slimmer than in the authentic hand-crafted Razalhague-maps™, but I think I'll settle for this.

    For future versions you might want to read the country names from somewhere as some uncivilized people might not be familiar with all the tags .

    Also, it would be nice if the save game list could be sorted newest first.
    I could do that with my eyes tied behind my back!

    The mapping program is great, but it doesn't read modded save files properly, I'm afraid.

    I tried using it with the MiscMods Dark Campaign (Black Death scenario), but it choked on all the missing tags. What is the correct way of analysed modded maps?

    I'm not familliar with modding but if this mod introduces new provinces/countries while keeping the changes not in the default files (/map/provinces.bmp, map/definition.csv, common/countries, etc.) than it will not work for sure. Provided high demand I can introduce modded maps/countries support in the future, but this will add a lot of testing burden...

    P.S. Have anybody tried it with any EU3 mods? If so, feedback will be appreciated

    Thanks for the utility, truly. We've been using "MappaeMundi" in "Est Modus in Rebus" (where MadMagnum plays). Could you please consider these feature requests when you have some free time:
    1. option to "Add Humans"
    2. export default colours to .ini
    An "Add Humans" option could speed up the country selection process: any country tag associated with "human=yes" would be included, on pressing a button.

    I employ MappaeMundi to generate bitmaps, which I then process with Paint.NET and AutoHotKey: crop, set sea transparency, resize, save to PNG and upload to PhotoBucket.

    That would indeed take the mapmaker from "great" to "brilliant".
