    i was gonna say that it looks kind of stubby, but then i googled the real one, yup looks just like it!! i guess for the RN its function over looks! :P

    I happen to think it looks quite good for a 97m (318ft) long SSN.

    I meant to ask, given that air bases will exist in game, will the ability to destroy them using cruise missiles be available?

    Absolutely. As well as using other land attack weapons.

    No I didn't, it's a pretty reasonable tactic and is a logical use of cruise missiles. I had considered this use of them in the context of the Falklands war, when we didn't have Tomahawk equipped subs. I've only just started the book as it happens.
