I was playing as Yuan and I noticed the religions* got a negative stability modifier but they also increase the stability cost. WAD? Because it's just weird to me.

Alright then. Thanks!
Doing a short Denmark game from 1356.
After Sweden took Sverige, I jumped the gun and went after Skane, Halland and Blekyng. Less than a year into the war, Sweden decided to honour the agreement with their best pals () and hand the provinces back to me. Probably shouldn't happen if Denmark and Sweden is at war. If the parties in a war cannot be used in an event, just make it, so Sweden does not hand the provinces back if Sweden is in a war.
A little later in the war, Sweden got a Friction along the Skane border event (is this just the Border friction event from vanilla? I had the nat. focus in Slaeswich, so I guess not) twice. Again I don't think it should trigger when at war, even though you could argue that a full scale nordic war is some kind of a border friction![]()

I think that the requirements to form Italy / Germany need updating. They both only require a few disjointed core provinces to be owned and the decisions both give substantial amounts of cores, it seems a bit unbalanced and not in line with the other nation forming decisions which generally only require perhaps 1 or 2 specifically critical provinces to be cores and otherwise just requires you to have decent claims_on_region.
Kingdom of God decision could also use some work (also: wouldn't it make sense if it turned you into a Kingdom? With the Papacy disabled there's no longer any need for a papal government...)

gigau, recently you fixed the button on the launcher which enabled the folded paper map, but now the option to select the normal overlay doesnt work and it always stays as the folded paper overlay.

The MEIOU Overlay does not change it?

The Sheriff advisor seems quite underpowered to me. Right now each level of Sheriff gives -0.01 to revolt risk and +1.0% to tax. This makes him ineffective at revolt deterrence and rarely gives a boost to Tax that makes up for his wages. The High Judge gives something like -0.25 RR per level. I suggest that a Sheriff should also give -0.25 RR per level and possibly +2.0% to tax as well.
i posted this a couple of days ago and got no response. i figure you just missed this or something, its no big deal either way. so im posting it again just to make sure y'all do see this
while playing as bryanthia i just got the province of hizen in japan through the whole trading post series of events. This of course started a war with all the daymios of japan but not with japan itself. so the war leader is the nation which owened hizen at the time which also was its only province. Now im stuck in a never ending war with all of japan except japan itself and have no way to peace out with any of the daymios let alone the war leader.
You probably should make it so this event chain wont fire in any japanese provinces until Japan has been unified, and that you cant do it via espianoge till the same time.
I didn't know where to put this file so if I hope he's on the good thread.
I started to translate MEIOU in french, but it's not easy. I translated all the files except the biggest and most incomplete file, the MEIOU events one, I started to translate the trade posts in this file and some other little things but there's even a lot of work. I don't know if I'm clear, I don't speak well but I hope you understand me.
So here's the incomplete french translation.

Is there any way to get the crowned_republic government?

I've had a singular problem with the Form PU mission with Sweden as Denmark: While I've used the fix and all the other PU missions work like a charm (I've enforced PUs with Norway, Leinster, Lithuania, Meckleburg and Pommerania), the only one who doesn't work seems to be the Swedish one, which cancels itself after a single day.
Another question: How does the North Sea Empire decision work, and does it work with Kalmar Union? Because from the files I see you need to be Christian, have Danish primary culture and own Oslo, Copenaghen and London (Which I own) and also have claim_on_north_sea on 20, which I don't know how to define.

Hi,
I'm playing another round of MEIOU (once I discovered it, I've never played vanilla or any other mod...). Using the v5.2 version with some hotfixes. Started as Burgundy and formed Lotharingia. Abused the PU game within the HRE, and got quite big - comparable size to France. I then got a mission to form a PU with France - the timing was perfect, as somehow France was collapsing due to low stability, rebels and a war England + Allies. Anyway, I now have quite the massive empire in Europe.
A few questions:
Can Burgundy (or Lotharingia) form France? I think I remember that this was possible in vanilla. Do I have to culture-shift first? How can I do that?
It seems I have hit a limit with my trade research - the cost to the next level is negative, meaning I advance a tech level every month. I assume that I somehow got to more than 100% reduction, would this cause such an effect? (I have sliders good for tech, scientific revolution NI, quite some manufactories).
The reformation has had almost no effect. I think there are 2 or 3 minor countries in the HRE which have converted - that's it. Saxony and Tirol, if memory serves me right.
Also, the colonizing by the AI is going very, very slow. It's mainly England and Portugal, they have the Carribean and about 3 provinces on the North American East Coast. A few smaller countries (Naples, Norway, Denmark) have about 5 provinces in Brazil, and there are a few colonies at the West African Coast by my vassal Toulouse. I have not colonized, since I went Isolationism (wanted to drive my Production to the max). Seems the AI is quite underperforming here.
Ah yeah, and England is quite adventurous - they are/were in Scandinavia, Southern Italy, Anatolia, Greece (here I kicked them out), Sardinia, and Northern Africa. I assume this is partially caused by them being Defender of the Faith most of the time.
Great mod!

Yes Burgundy and Lotharingia can form it. Unfortunately you need to be in the language_d_oil, language_d_oc, basque, or breton culture groups to do so; so yes a culture group shift is required.
The other items you mentioned are known issues and are being looked at. Except the England one, that is one crazy kid who likes to get into all sorts of wacky naval adventures.![]()
(Personally, I usually mod Defender of the Faith out by making it extremely expensive because I don't like the effect that it has on the game.)
As Burgundy is in the Low Frankish culture group I assume a culture shift is necessary, but otherwise you should be able to.Code:french_nation = { potential = { NOT = { tag = SPA } # Basque is a valid culture for both FRA and SPA NOT = { tag = PAP } NOT = { tag = UEF } NOT = { exists = FRA } NOT = { exists = RFR } OR = { culture_group = langue_d_oil culture_group = langue_d_oc #culture_group = basque primary_culture = breton } check_variable = { which = "claim_on_france" value = 10 } }
A known issue. Fuzzbug is adapting Dei Gratia (another mod - religious) to MEIOU. It will take awhile before he get to balance the reformation
Also a known issue, that AI is lacking behind OTL. It worked rather well in MEIOU for HttT, so something in DW has changed. The team needs to find out and readjust.
Another change from DW, which needs to be explained and fixed.
I agree![]()
