WHAT?! My Byzantine Plague-Doctor Emperors are gone!? This is an outrage, I tell you! :p

Also nice to see that "-dottir/-dotter" is in the game as a variable. Feels really awkward when having to use "-son" across the board in EU3 when you do get a female ruler back then. <_<

No more big noses?? :(

Good dev. diary ... certainly sounds awesome that specific characters can be scripted to look like the historical person.

Can I believe my eyes??

0:55 in the video

Toste af Skogla --> has a daughter named Sigrid Tostesdotter --> who has a brother named Ulf Tostesson

YOU HAVE PROPER PATRONYMICS!!

AWESOME!!! :D

Will we have a moddable Patronymics system?? Please say yes!!

P.S. The portraits are also awesome. Really great work!! Immense congratulations to the artist(s) for achieving such classy and beautiful artwork.

I continue to applaud Paradox for making their games so open and easy to mod. Very rare these days.

Indeed. Looking good. I am happy to see the patronymics and how they will work in different cultures. I like that clothing will change with court appointments.

Question, King, will modders be able to access the debug features as a play mode? It would be helpful to see the extra bits in the tooltips.

EDIT: Characters are looking very lifelike. As someone who hangs out in the Mediterranean a lot in CK, how about some non-European faces when you get a chance. I look forward to seeing what Berbers and Arabs and Turks will look like. Thanks.

Very nice. A few interesting bits, such as the "Half the skill values of their spouse are added to the ruler's" tooltip.

Indeed. And the "On succession, the prestige of a character is carried over to its heir in the form of score" bit. Where apparently the last icon on the top right represents score.

Slightly off-topic:

I noticed that in this video the Byzantine Emperor happens to be the heir to, uh... everything. By any chance does Byzantium have some sort of special government/succession type that causes provinces (titles) to return to the Emperor on the death of vassals?

It would be really great if PI made some kind of simple tool that allows modders to assemble portraits and then preview them without having to go into the game.
