-> CORE 0.50.29 for AoD
**********************************

I think we owed this version to you due to some bugs in 0.50.28, so here is an unusually quick new version. The team has really jumped into this and we are enthusiastically disassembling and reassembling the mod. Lots of small changes and fixes here, and obviously some risk - but nor risk, no fun!

Graphics packs (separate download):

NEW b/w pack:
CORE 0.5.0 Black & White graphics pack (166MB) - if needed rename into .exe

New color pack:
CORE 0.5.0 Color graphics pack (200 MB) - if needed rename into .exe

And of course, the current version of Hagar´s travel guide:
"Download the CORE travel guide version 3.0, july 10th, 2011

Enjoy!

Is it right that the scenario is still called 0.50.28? Or do I have corrupt install?

Thanks for the update!

Yes, for once either I have not updated the scenario name or the scenario file updates we made did not contain a new number.

Do not worry!

Thanx again guys - it was a very good decision to release a new version so quick. Am also very happy to sea new eagerness in the mod making team.

Don't know if this is a consistent bug, but I'll report it anyway. You can probably check it out when you have time. I'm playing as USA.

As my Chiefs of Staff, Army, Air and Navy are replaced (either by resigning or dying) they are all replaced by Stalinists... I'm not leftist in any way, so this seems stupid.

I got a report that one particular country managed to disrupt certain tech team to another country but the part that should describe what tech team remained blank. Was playing as Japan.

This has happened before. They are usually replaced by the proper ministers when you reload or when the elections of 1940 have taken place.

EDIT - post deleted as i am a dumbass and didn;t check the obvious

I tried a game with Siam and they are practically unplayable. If you choose to continue with the naval build program you get -10 supply production, the economy can't handle that and all your troops will starve before you get your new navy.
If you choose not to build you loose a minister that gives IC bonus. With the small margins of the Siam economy that loss make you unable to do anything productive for quite some time instead of freeing resources for other projects as the event text hints at. In both scenarios you are worse off than before the event.

Of course they were also weak IRL, but I still think Siam needs a boost to at least be playable.

They had a few old ships in 1936, but were ordering some new destroyers and cruisers from Japan as well - this is what the naval build programme is about for them. I had a further dig around about them earlier, might see if I can do some tweaking and improvements for them later on. However, by and large they are probably below the threshold of normally playable nations. As an alternative Asian power to play, however, I can see why they might well deserve some extra attention.

Tim

While we are at it - what countries would you suggest are perfectly playable in the mod? Which countries got a lot of attention besides the majors and semi majors?
