this has proably been asked before, but why sunni gets colonists?, it destroy the entire colonizing of taiwan, Philippines and the northern islands of japan. They get colonized by muslims everytime and makes it look pretty dumb. Esp as playing as Japan seeing how the Muslims can colonize it and yourself cant is pretty sad. Also i dont see any reason historycally why they got those?

There are two provinces named Bourbon. One in france (190), the other off the coast of madagascar (1103). Can one be renamed?

Is it just me or does half the world westernize now? In before, but XRW, you are half the world. I'm not complaining though. It keeps the non-europe section competitive late game. I actually had to use tactics to kill the chinese off.

The one off Madagascar is an island which, in modern times at least, is known as Reunion. That would make a good alternate name. In the meantime, I'd like to suggest shifting Maine (in France) to an alternate spelling if possible.

I don't think there is an alternate spelling... it's Maine in Crusader Kings 2, and the current name for the district is Maine et Loire. There are a few French provinces that could be renamed. Normandie to Caen (which I'd then suggest renaming Caux to Rouen, just to keep them easily distinguished), Bourgogne to Dijon, Anjou to Angers, Lothringen to Nancy (strictly speaking, I don't thinking Nancy is technically within those borders, but regardless ), and Elsass to Nordgau. Pretty sure I've had this conversation with Almaron, but I don't like using the name of a larger region to represent a province.

Darn. Guess I'll have to continue using an alternative name for the US state, then.

Or you could conquer the French province, rename it, and give it back.

Hey guys, I have a couple questions I need help on.

    1. I play as Ayutthaya and I've been keeping Royal Marraige with Ming 24/7 just to decrease the chance of them attacking me. However, I did not expect to become a senior partner in a PU. Now it has sort of ruined my game because a vegetable Ming is just not fun. The threat and activity of Ming is what keeps the region exciting. Obviously I haven't integrated because I don't want to. I thought I could just change to a Republic and get rid of this curse, but for some reason, I couldn't upgrade from an Administrative Monarchy to an Administrative Republic. Can anyone tell me how to break out of this? I want the old Ming back, so the region is interesting again.

    2. How do I Westernize if I don't go out to colonize West Africa and what not. It's 1650s now, and I still can't modernize my techs because I don't have a Western Neighbor. I don't want to go out to colonize because it just doesn't feel right to do so.

    Cheers!

If your relations with them are less than 0 when your king dies, the PU will end. The same goes for prestige, I think. But it's easier/safer to send insults than to intentionally get negative prestige.

You can't switch out of a monarchy when you have a PU, I think.

Some people sell a province to a high-tech European nation to border them. Other people consider that to be a bit gamey, though.

If you are playing as Japan, you can grab the "colonial ventures" and/or "quest" NI's and then you will get colonists.

Plus southern Philippines were already muslim, it's not that much of a strech that the entire archipelago got converted in an alternative timeline, even more if Spain does not come into play.

    Cheers. Very helpful.

I tried selling province to Europeans, but after dozens of tries (6 years) no one wanted any from me.

I can't fire Japan's decision that allows opens the diplomacy with Europe. I already discovered it and the AI just wouldn't fire it, so I changed tags, tried to fire it, and nothing. The conditions have been met, and I can't fire it. The flag "vg_japan" is on, is that the problem?

I know, but that aint the point. imo chosing colonial ventures is a bit gamey as japan and i want to that european powers to take it , so i can westernize without having to colonzie the east of africa. so there still is the question why islamic countries get colonists?

    Hey I have a question.

I formed the Roman empire and changed government from ''Roman empire'' to just an empire, now I want to change back, is there a way?
