Hello,

Recently I've been making elections for varying nations that are in Kaiserreich and soon enough the three Spanish states will be on my list. As start I've went through the minister lists of the three nations nations to clean them up but I immediately noticed something. The Kingdom of Spain and the CNT-FAI have literally some of the largest (top 5) minister lists in the entirety of Kaiserreich!

As the minister pools are immense for both nations I do not want to make the elections/political dissent events simply because I am ignorant of Spanish politics of this era and this level of ministers can allow for some truly interesting political developments.

So I am very curious if anyone wishes to at least draw some proposals for the Spanish states. The only thing I can think of atm would be possibly removing some or most of the Falange members that in the Kingdom of Spain minister pool to Carlist Spain as the Carlists have compared to the KoS and the CNT-FAI a very small minister list.

Thanks!

What do you need, exactly? Sorry for being so late.

A fellow user, Baron Rojo, has come forward about this, but more input is certainly welcomed. :)

What I 'need' is people who could work out some content for the Spanish states as they are all lacking, though the Carlists have the most events atm. For starters, elections. The CNT-FAI (Really needs an easier name :p) needs Congresses like those in other Syndicalist nations planned out, the KoS needs elections for both a democratic and an authoritarian government, etc. I'll try to get Baron Rojo on some IM-esque service (even Skype would do) to speed up the planning process, if you would like to join in say so. My name is neonkartoffel on Skype at least. :p

I'm really just hoping that something interesting can be planned out for the Spanish states as they are a regional power with some promise.

I'll ask to some people I know, as I'm not quite familiar with that part of Spanish politics.

But, sure, instead of CNI-FAI we could have something like "República Popular Española" (Spanish Popular Republic), or something like that.

ASAP some help will be comming.

i have many ideas for this aspect of the mod, I think the name something like "Republica Federal Española" ("Spanish Federal Republic") and they englobe the Anarchist, comunist, Cnt-fai, Poum, and the Falange de las jons (autoritarian goverment) with Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera, like Plutarco Elias Calles in mexico

sorry but my english is not good

The Falange will remain Right wing, with its ministers either being in the KoS or the Carlist (needs more ministers). Feel free to start posting ideas, like election proposals. :)

The first thing that should be done is the cabinet of kingdom of spain, with proper starting ministers and all that. I would look at the ministers of the CNT but I'm not sure about how adding the Totalist faction and people that were outside the CNT (communists, socialists, etc.).

The Falange is a sindicalist movement and republican they dont like kings

In fact, if the Falange had more followers, it could be a third option in itself, as it dislikes Bolshevism and other forms of socialism and a distaste for democracy, plus being republican. So, it cannot go together with the left.

Which reminds me of the mutual hatred between Anarchists and Communists.

Since in this mod some prominent Fascist leaders like Mussolini and Mosley are Totalist, I think José Antonio and Ramiro Ledesma should be Totalists too.

Indeed. The Falange is more left-winger than Oswald Mosley and Benito Mussolini, so they must inside Syndicalist Spain. In fact, Falange's ideology in OTL is National-Sindicalism. And they simply hate the Carlists.

So first of all my name proposals are:

- Commune of Iberia.
- People's Republic of Iberia.
- Union of Iberian Syndicalist Republics.

The first because is similar to the French (Progressist Spaniards usually look to France), the second because OTL Republic's People's Army and the general use of the term People's above others, and the third because some left-wingers would push for a decentralized administration.

Now, political factions:

National-Syndicalists (José Antonio Primo de Rivera & Ramiro Ledesma Ramos): The Falange. It's a must (Specially with Mosley and Mussolini as Totalists). The most radical and organized of all factions. They will join the Totalist Charter. In fact, they are just like Maximists, Sorelians and Italian National-Syndicalists.

Communists (José Díaz Ramos, Juan Negrín (¿?), Santiago Carrillo & Dolores Ibárruri): Good old commies. They will join the Totalist Charter. Since ITL communism has become so weak, it's possible they would join with the National-Syndicalists. Perhaps National-Communists? (In ordr to add some diversity to Sindicalism).

Anarcho-Syndicalists (Federica Montseny & Buenaventura Durruti): The CNT and the FAI. In fact, the only faction now represented in the mod.

Social-Revolutionaries (Indalecio Prieto, Largo Caballero (¿?) & Manuel Azaña (¿?)): The most democratic and moderate faction.

Regionalists (Lluís Companys & Santiago Casares Quiroga): This guys are the Spanish version of British Authonomists. They demand a decentralized state with self-government to the various "nations" inside Iberia.

NOTE: The names are only a few of the prominent characters in each factions. There are a lot more.

yeah, I proposed the change of name in the other forum because the CNT wouldn't have allow some people of the Totalist kind to become someone in the union, but I think that the KR team want to keep "the traditional name".
With that in mind I only can think in the treintista faction (light, pro-french syndicalism) and the faistas (hard-line anarchists). The only Totalist faction could be the Bolshevik sector that formed the POUM later, Andreu Nin, Joaquin Maurin, etc.

Just a small nitpick.

Communists (José Díaz Ramos, Largo Caballero, Jesús Hernandez, Juan Negrín, José Alvarez del Vayo,, Santiago Carrillo & Dolores Ibárruri)

Anarcho-Syndicalists (Federica Montseny, Julián Gorki, Juan Peiró, Andreu Nin & Buenaventura Durruti)

Social-Revolutionaries (Indalecio Prieto, Julián Zugazagoitia): The most democratic and moderate faction.

Regionalists (Lluís Companys, Carles Pi i Sunyer, Santiago Casares Quiroga):

The changes.

Azaña doesn't fit here. He's too moderate even for the SR. And L-C, the "Spanish Lenin" is as moderate as Stalin, so to speak.

The same happens with the PNV. Too right for being Syndies. Adieu to the Basque nationalism, as far as I remember.

Viden, you forgot Nin. Shame on you. :D

Largo Caballero is as moderate as Stalin and you substitute him with Negrin?

Too true, I mistook Negrín by another politican. Shit.

Then we have Julián Besteiro. Theoretically, a SR, but there's something in him...

Nit picks, there can only be a max of four factions due to game coding. Well, there could be more, but it would be an immense hassle to do that so just four please. Also, Communism is outside a few mentions essentially dead, so they wouldn't be a main faction. If the Totalist faction is worked out, Spain can get a reaction event like Hungary and Russia do where possible leaders subscribe to Totalism.

Something else, what do we do with Falange? We have José Antonio Primo de Rivera, Manuel Hedilla Larrey, Rafael Sánchez Mazas, Raimundo Fernández-Cuesta, Onésimo Redondo y Ramiro Ledesma Ramos.

Ramón Serrano Súñer wouldn't never go Syndie. Carlist, perhaps.

PS: If there's only four factions, FE may go to sleep.

I think that Besteiro would have stay with the Kingdom of Spain, he was too 'light', and be the leftist figure there in its elections, etc.

I dunno what to do with the Falange, they could in fact just be the Totalist faction I guess.

"Kaiserreich: The mod where every historical right wing movement of Europe is left wing!" :p
