Have the your allies stationed any planes or Ships in Italy they could be drawing that supply down to them.

Well there is no Planes stationed there, but the South Africans have 2 transport ships down there

then I have no idea if there aren't many troops down there.

there is like 30 Divisions Stationed in Italy (Majority of wich is Military police, and a few Expidition forces to take out any actual partisans) but i got like 40 units on the Danish-Soviet Border, so its a wonder why they dont get send supplies on a stable basis (only in East Prussia do they keep supplies but thas because of shipping :p)

Time to Push the Advan......

Since im sadly going on Vacation i will not be able to Update the Danish in Central Europe nor the Italian Campaign

So the Battle Between the Allies And Axis must halt for a moment
GreatWarIIIPAAppVersion112.jpg

But in two weeks The war will go on, and These Bad asses will take the lead!

Part IXX - New Military Hardware for Denmark

Part IXX - New Military Hardware for Denmark

Stauning together with Ole Bjørn Kraft (Danish Armament minister) had diceded the Danish Infantry had to get new helmets, as they had been using the British Standard helmet throughout the war
helmet_m1917a1.jpg

i am not sure this is the exact same thing the brits used, but looks abit like it, no?

While it had been effecient, but according to Stauning and Bjørn wasnt "Danish" so they begun an immidiate Production of approxometly 400.000 New Military helmets for Danish Soldiers
193981205v1_480x480_Front_Color-White_padToSquare-true.jpg

Damn straight, Denmark is going Native

These news was welcomed by young danish soldiers on the Danish-Soviet border
Danish_soldiers_on_9_April_1940.jpg

Danish infantry on the Danish-Soviet border, not willing to wear their new helmets out of combat though..

Stauning believed that this new move to Spark a Strenght in Unity in the Danish Populace, and in time make the Germans, Hungarians and italians dig the Danish culture, Christian X was however abit more "sceptic" of this, but wasnt too botherd by it either.

Christian X was Mostly distracted by the Allied battle in Persia, as the Japanese was still pushing the Allied forces further and further back, Christian hoped the allies would hold the Japanese off in the Middle east, if not at Iraq then at Palestine..

Operations - Miklagård
But Denmark needed to prepeare for a defense of southern Europe, and was planning on Siezing Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Turkey, in order to build fortifications at the Straits at Istanbull and Gelibolu..

battle_norway17.jpg

Danish Soldiers ever the Envirementalists

as of the 29th March All Infantry had arrived in the Balkan lands and was getting briefed on what their tasks was.

2011-07-21_00011.jpg

On the northern front the Danish Army would push Yugoslavia, and Sieze all the Territory, and put up defensive formations before they continue to push down in Yugoslavia.

2011-07-21_00009.jpg

at the same time the Danish would make a minor push on the North-eastern front in Yugoslavia.

2011-07-21_00008.jpg

8 Danish Infantry Divisions would at the same time make a push for Beograd.

2011-07-21_00013.jpg

4 Infantry corps of 4xInfantry Divisions each, would Invade Bulgaria, some of these would then continue to push into Yugoslavia from their Bulgarian border.

When Bulgaria and Yugoslavia had been secured and peacefully occupied ("Peacefully") the Danish Armed forces would prepeare a push into Turkey to secure the Straits for Construction of the "Miklagård Fortifications 2"
2011-07-21_00004.jpg

The Main objective of the Operations is Securing Harbours in the Balkans to have more Supplies flowing to the Danish troops, Securing the Turkish Straits, and Remove Axis Influence from the Balkans.

Stauning of course used this to Promote his Cultural Policies, and said that the Vikings had been in Constantinople (Istanbul) wich means there must surely be a Danish Minority.

The People responded to this with mixed thoughts, some were starting to worry that Stauning might be loosing his mind, and others thought it was brilliant (Conquest of Istanbul that is)

However, the Danish Foreign ministry was getting worried, as Danish Armed forces had been relocated to the Balkans and the Danish-Soviet border was left with no real Garrison, in case of Soviet aggression, Specially since Spain Started mobilizing (Who is closely aligned to the Soviets) Denmark Feared an attack from the Soviets while the Danish army was busy in te Balkans..

But the Danish People was Confident, should the soviets attack Holger Danske would surely wake up and kick the soviets back to Moscow
holger-danske.jpg

As you can see he looks thoughtfull, as if he is prepearing to wake up

As Holger Danske Seemed to be sturring, Rumours was going around in Berlin, some claimed to have seen the Bunkers doors open, and a Man looking like hitler let out the dog, however, the Danish goverment believed this to be a jest by the german veterans in Berlin..
fuhrerbunker4.jpg

The Berlin Citizens quickly started avoiding the "Bunker" part of Town

That could be the right helmet, not sure. The mark 1 and mark 2 were very similar.

*edit* Thinking about it now I think thats the Mark1 used in WW1 because of the point at the top and the way its been dented into shape. I believe WW2 Helmets were pressed into shape by a machine from one circular piece of metal.

Part XX - a Struggle?

Part XX - a Struggle?

As Operation Mikelgård Preperations was under way, the Chief of staff reported that the Military invasion of yugoslavia would not be possible, as Denmarks Logistics was messed up
mvg_www_deuce_ww2_700_02.jpg

Apparently these didnt work properly...

So troops in Romania bordering Yugoslavia was quickly orderd to transfer to the Bulgarian border..
Bundesarchiv_Bild_101I-213-0291-35_Russland-Nord_zwei_Soldaten_mit_Fahrrdern.jpg

Sadly interupting their lunch

one hour before midnight on the 20th April 240.000 Danish troops was stationed at the Romanian-Bulgarian border, and prepeared for an Imminent attack.
2011-07-30_00041.jpg

As troops had arrived the Foreign ministries Delegation in Bulgaria Gave word to the President of Bulgaria that Hostilities had begun between Denmark and Bulgaria.. Quickly following News arrived that Denmarks allies all joined this struggle.. if not in military troops then in moral.
2011-07-30_00044.jpg

the Goal of the war was simple.. Occupation..

The Invasion was Thought to be a no brainer.. and Danish troops was already pushing into Bulgaria only a few hours after the war began..
2011-07-30_00042.jpg

As Danish troops got further and further in however.. a clear sign was appearing.. Danish troops was having a struggle beating the Bulgarian troops..

Although danish troops was pushing the Bulgarians back, the amount of resistance they presented Slowed down the Danish advance Severely..

Several Times Danish troops had been forced to retreat, because of the Bulgarian resistance
GDDivretreating.jpg

Danish troops retreating over a Field of Wheat

Infantry Following shortly after

Not only in the Open fields did the Danish army struggle against the Bulgarians, Also in the outskirts of Sofiya.. Denmark had succesfully Surrounded the City at 3rd of July
2011-07-30_00046.jpg

But the Struggle to Surround Sofiya had taken several weeks, as Danish troops in Several occations had been forced to retreat from the Bulgarians..

However on the 6th of July Danish Army Command orderd all forces to Sieze Sofiya
2011-07-30_00047.jpg

Even with all Danish troops focused on Sofiya, The Danish army was still in a hard battle, Though it seemed very unlikely that they could loose now.. of all times
Soviet_soldiers_moving_at_Stalingrad2.jpg

Danish troops on the way into Sofiya

On Midnight the 9th of July the Bulgarian Finaly capitulated after 80 days of Armed conflict, Peace could return to the Balkan territories.. now facing Occupation though..
2011-07-30_00048.jpg

The Danish Summer war..
As Denmarks push into Bulgaria had been slow and been pushed back several times, Some began calling it the Danish Summer war.. as a reference to the winter war between russia and Finland..

Stauning Was greatly humbled by this great fall in Danish Prestige.. He spoke to the Social democrats of Denmark in the "Landstinget" About the Defeat Denmark somewhat suffered in Bulgaria.. stating that the Social Democrats of Denmark would from now on attempt to avoid war.. since Denmark clearly wasnt very good at it..
Staunings_tale__c__Folketinget.jpg

Denmark had already obtained Victory in Europe.. surely the Allies will handle the Japanese without Danish intervention.. Right?

There was of course divided oppinions in the Social democrats some favoured that Denmark must take part in the Armed conflict against Japan.. if not in direct warfare then with Espionage and organizing Partisan groups in English India.. to atleast give the Allies abit of a chance to push the japanese back...

the Chief of Staff and his staff all had long Debates with Stauning on the Matter of Mikelgård (Istanbul) and the need of a Danish invasion of Turkey to Secure the most defensive positions against a Potential Japanese push into Europe..

Part XXI - Foreign Ministry.. Sacked

Part XXI - Foreign Ministry.. Sacked

By late July News arrived to Copenhagen that the Soviet Union had taken an intrest in Turkey.. and it was believed by Stauning that Denmark would have to Sieze istanbull before the Ruskies invaded Turkey...

Therefor on the 26th of July the Danish foreign ministry had delivered news to the Turkish Goverment and the Allied highcommand.. and shortly after the Turkish joined the Axis..

2011-07-30_00128.jpg

However.. the Ruskies quickly Responded by invading the Turkish aswell..

By the 11th August the Danish-Turkish War concluded.. However Stauning was utterly Shocked by the outcome of the Peace negotiations...

Somehow Stalins Representives in the Peace negotiations in Turkey had gotten quiet a good part of Turkey.. and eliminating the possibility of Denmark siezing a great part of Turkey..

2011-07-30_00129.jpg

The Danish left the Peace negotiations with minimal gain.. only gaining the European part of Turkey and the Strait crossings

For this Terrible job done by the Foreign minister and others later to be explained.. the entire Foreign ministry was sacked..

But the fact that the Soviets now controlled the Majority of Turkey was a curse with merrit.. since this now meant Japan would be forced to declear war on The Soviets to invade europe..

But with the recent Danish aggressions towards neighbouring countries, Stauning decided to make a huge publicity stunt and Declearing Iceland an Independent state... well more or less independent

on the 15th November, a goverment was installed in Iceland.
2011-07-30_00133.jpg

the Entire world was Happy to hear the news that Denmark had liberated Iceland as an independent state..

Japan in trouble?
as Denmark was pretty much locked inside Europe.. war was ragin in the Pacific and due to the former independent foreign ministry and the time it took for the new Foreign ministry to get in place, News of American progress in the Pacific first reached Denmark by Late november.. And by then the US had already more or less taken controll of the Japanese home island
2011-07-30_00134.jpg

Sadly the Danish Army nor Navy could do little to help with the Remaining struggle against the Japanese.. however the Danish did Declear that the Danish goal in the war was Installing a Loyal Goverment in Japan..

However.. even though Denmark could do little in the Pacific.. the Danish army was still being Re armed and Re equibbed.. and by the 19th April 1946 3 Divisions worth of British Mechanized Infantry finished training..
2011-07-30_00137.jpg

Shortly after it was Decided that Denmark would License Tank Destroyers for the Mech Divisions..
2011-07-30_00138.jpg

an agreement with the united states was reached on the 7th of May..

Beograd's Next...
As Denmark was now Locked inside Europe.. it was decided.. despite the Failures of the Bulgarian conflict.. that the Danish armies would Finaly finish the original operation Mikelgård with The siezing of Beograd.. and the rest of Yugoslavia for that matter..

2011-07-30_00140.jpg

The bulk of the Danish forces would be pushing from Bulgaria And Albania, As Danish troops was still experiencing heavy Supply problems in the north, there was little faith that a steady push from north would be possible..

the Danish had requested the Assistance of the Allies in the offensive against the Yugoslavian goverment..

By late June Beograd had been siezed and for a nice change the Danish army was actually not experiencing any real Defeats..
2011-07-30_00144.jpg

During the Entire conflict small Skirmishes occured on the Northern Yugoslavian border..

But Reports also Reached copenhagen, that the united states had just invaded Japanese Controlled China
2011-07-30_00147.jpg

not many days after the Yugoslavian goverment fleed into exile in Japan?.. odd choise but alas
2011-07-30_00148.jpg

2011-07-30_00149.jpg

Denmark now controlls the Majority of The Balkans and Central europe..

Now Denmark was growing confident, and Ships was orderd so that Danish troops could aid the United States in China..

Though Some American Minor states had "Decided" to Join the Axis.. and this of course resulted in denmark Invading Immidiately..
2011-07-30_00153.jpg

So far.. it seemed Global peace was looking more and more possible.. as Japan was getting pushed back in China...

Great update. The US seems to be pretty much unstoppable most games.

PART XXII - Danish Colonial Ambitions

PART XXII - Danish Colonial Ambitions

As the Americans Has siezed the Japanese home island, the allied forces in Persia was finally able to push the Japanese back, and begin reconquest of the British India
2011-07-30_00154.jpg

on the 19th August danish troops in South america was beginning to sieze more territory from the Axis powers..
2011-07-30_00156.jpg

by the 29th September American progress was steady in China
2011-07-30_00159.jpg

now Japanese surely couldent be avoided, could it?

By the 2nd November the Danish Push in South africa finally succeded in Surrounding their Capital and Begun an attack on it.
2011-07-30_00161.jpg

Not long after the Danish foreign ministry had made agreements with the United Kingdom of Denmark constructing nine of their mechanized infantry brigades
2011-07-30_00164.jpg

Later the Same day Danish delegations arrived to an agreement with the United states about the construction of 3 American Tank destroyers for the Danish armed forces.
2011-07-30_00165.jpg

The first licensed TD's had finished construction and been stationed with the already standing Mechanized.
2011-07-30_00166.jpg

Hit 'n Run in China
By the 24th March 1947 Danish troops invaded Southern China and the Danish fleet (expanded by several additional Transport) was heading back to denmark to send even more troops to China.
2011-07-30_00169.jpg

The Initial Danish Invasion was steady and more or less unopposed
Already on the 8th of May the new Japaese Capital was not far from being Encircled..
2011-07-30_00171.jpg

by the 21st May The city was siezed by Denmark, and troops where pushing in all directions..
however the Americans seemed to be in a bit of a pickle in china?
2011-07-30_00174.jpg

However as the Americans had trouble the Danish army was pushing further and further into China.
2011-07-30_00176.jpg

However high command was starting to fear a massive Logistic Problem.. as the Front towards Indochine was slowing down severely because of Supply problems.

on the 28th of June a Danish parlimentary scandal occured.. wich forced mister Arthur Dahl to Step down
2011-07-30_00178.jpg

this of course wasnt the best of news for Denmark.. but the danish armies continued their push into china regardless of who got sacked..

on the 15th of July Danish troops would invade Siam And rapidly sieze Bangkok and Phet buri, hopefully forcing the Imperial goverment in Siam to surrender and give Denmark the chance to install a pro-Denmark goverment.
2011-07-30_00179.jpg

The Conflict for Siam lasted 11 days..
2011-07-30_00180.jpg

Very good AAR, waiting for next chapters ^^

Part XXIII - Damn slovaks!

Part XXIII - Damn slovaks!

As Allied victory seemed imminent, the Danish Capitals eyes was Fixated on the Soviet union.. Would they join the fray in the last minute? or would they betray the Allies and Invade? Regardless of what the Soviets might intend.. the Allied must keep pushing to force the Chinese into submission..

on the 26th July Battle began forJiangyong... (only noting it because it was the only real resistance in china remaining
2011-07-31_00001.jpg

on the 25th September on the Coast of China Danish troops had succesfully linked up with their Allies in northern china.

Already in october had Denmark secured with the help of their allies Nanchang one of the few remaining towns of China
2011-07-30_00185.jpg

By the end of October (23rd) The Shape of China was becoming ever more clear.. Remaining japanese troops was being pushed towards the Yunnan-Chinese Border..
2011-07-30_00186.jpg

As the allied kept coming at them from North, East and South..

But as progress was made in china.. a Prestige project finished in New Denmark..
2 New Danish Rocket interceptors had finished construction and been stationed in Northern germany
2011-07-30_00187.jpg

These planes would most likely not see combat, but would non the less be a show of Danish prestige in having Rocket planes.. (though the name isnt very appealing.. Flying ram...)

By December the Allied boreders in North and South had connected more and more
2011-07-30_00188.jpg

Though it seemed unlikely the war would conclude before the year was out..

And this is when we run out of time.. its 1948 and the game won't allow me to go on.. However! i am not willing to not annex my territories.. so i figured a way i could continue.. turn up the speed to max.. and click til my finger falls off.. so that it will just jump one hour at a time.. And so.. on the 22nd of January.. 1948.. Japan Surrenderd to their Danish Overlords. (ignore the Americans occupying their isle)
2011-07-31_00002.jpg

45815VJDay.jpg

V.J. Day.. and the Terms of the Allied Rule of course meant Danish rule.. can hardly be any debate about that

However.. Denmark had several goals with the war.. As Originally intended a Social democracy was put in place in Japan.. (Loyal to Denmark of course) Denmark had also wished to keep their conquored chinese territories.. wich they of course did..
2011-07-31_00003.jpg

on the 28th of January.. a very bad incident happen though.. The slovaks of some wierd reason.. got their independence.. and a truce with denmark.. but not the rest of the allies.. god knows why.. But denmark would not stand this.. and well.. planned for blockading Slovakia..
2011-07-31_00005.jpg

However.. there was one GREAT problem with this new Arrengement.. the Mp's no longer worked.. so the People in New Denmark was greatly dissatisfied..
2011-08-01_00002.jpg

In China a North and South China was practically formed..
2011-08-01_00003.jpg

As Denmark ruled the South (and clearly supiriour) the United states ruled the north.. for now things looked great for now.. and denmark still had somewhere to put all of their ridicules amount of mps (in china)

Now alittle Round up of Danish Puppets..
2011-08-01_00004.jpg
2011-08-01_00005.jpg
2011-07-31_00003.jpg

By the First Febuary 1948. (Best month of the year btw) all of the occupied territory (except Slovakia who somehow gained independence) was annexed.. including recently aquired yugoslavia..
2011-08-02_00001.jpg

Now that the Mps around berlin didnt have MP Duty.. they decided to raid the Old Bunker in Berlin.. figureing there must be some sort of valuables down there..
fuhrerbunker4.jpg

after several days of hard work trying to open the way into the bunker.. They finally succeded.. they got the door opened.. and quickly began to explore the bunker..

In the bunker they found several living quarters and whatnot.. however.. they had thought to find a few trinkets and such.. maybe even some coin.. but they would not have expected to find what they did..

Mister Adolf Hitler.. he had not escaped into exile in Japan.. no he had hidden away in a bunker below Berlin.. Apparently Hitler was a big enough fool to stay in a town about to get encircled..

The Men got Tons of Honoary commendations for Capturing this Odd man.. he was trialed in Flensburg and Condemmed to live on the Danish Puppet island Iceland... (he would later come back and almost conquer europe again only to be stopped short because of mud and then be returned to exile)

Anyways.. enough joking about :p
Here are the Final Results of the Danish Empire.. i am not gonna bother invading the USSR since it is a hopeless task when you gotta click everytime for one hour to pass..

HoI3_MAP_DEN_19482113_1.jpg

Damn slovakia ruining the good colour in Europe..

Thanks to those who've read this and well those who've commented aswell of course (i would assume they've read it aswell though) and i hope i havent skipped to much around in it :p Any critics are welcome aslong as they're critism isnt focused on being a complete tosser ^^

And let us not forget the Morale of this story is... Dont invade Denmark.. Denmark will just come back tenfold.. (with the assistance of most of the world but ignore that bit)

plak05.jpg
