Here is my list of events that I think are the best...
1. Event 6502- 2000 infantry, 1000 cavalry, -1 War exhaustion
2. Event 5031- 25% Military Tradition
3. Event 5035- 25% Naval Tradition
4. Event 5039- Around 800 Manpower in capital city
5. Event 5025- Lower Reputation by 3
6. Event 5062- Increase population gain %
7. Events 6118-6123- Improves forts
Does anyone have any better events like to change sliders? This is really all I could find that are pretty useful.
Ones that I like to see fire during my games:
4024 - +2 Free Subjects
4035 - -2 Quality
4026 - -2 Innovative
9473 - Free University (MTTH of 15000 months)
9475 - Veteran's Home
And then a fun one to manually fire, because it is nigh impossible to get it to happen legitimately:
6606 - Turn into Revolutionary France

Event 5008 (or 09 or 10) - Gift to the state

Agricultural revolution is pretty good.
Claims on our Rivals. Free cores!
Or any of the reform events. They give you 50 ducats, some prestige and two slider moves towards innovative, quality or free subjects.
Agricultural revolution is great too, base tax bonus.
Gift to the State is godsent when you're a minor.
The bank reform event which name I can't recall is good too. Adjusts your loansize and reduces your inflation with 3% (or was it 5%?)

You actually tag change to Revolutionary France, to my knowledge.
I don't see why they can't, but the BBB would need to revolt first.

Personally, one of my favorites of the not-super-rare events is the Diplomatic Insult event. The one where you can either lose relations with a nation and gain CB on them, or get a bonus of 60 relationship points with like 9 other countries. Super handy for getting people to like you for HRE votes.
