Are there any Mini-mods that work with the new nations mod that are recommended to play?

why can france build aircrafts in early 1890s when the tec is avaible from 1910?
i often wonder when i check production screen and recok that france builds aircrafts around 1890
(i play without AHD on 1.3)
I'm newer to the Vicky games, and I was wondering if anyone had some good advice for playing with Sweden? I love the resources and the starting position, but their pop is pathetically low. This starts coming back to kick me in the arse later, when everyone's industry ratings are skyrocketing, while I'm struggling to fill a factory in anything other than Gotland or the Stockholm region.

Well any swedish state is going to have a lower industry per state than most other countries, but the best way would either be A form Scandinavia (Would require you to beat the Ruskies if you play vanilla) or B take overseas colonies and use them to agument your population through assimilation and migration. Also, be socialist, Sweden can usually manage to become the America of Europe if played correctly. I would suggest you combine all of these, but it can be difficult, even for a veteran like myself
Gotland and Svealand are indeed the two states that will industrialize quickly. I even have so many unemployed there, I now turn them into soldiers. I got Finland from Russia but I struggle to get Holstein to form Scandinavia (Germans are allied to Great Britain). Actually Russia is my bitch now, as they dow every so often to get Finland back, and I take away their colonies or their sphered countries.![]()
Il ne faut pas désespérer des imbéciles. Avec un peu d'entraînement, on peut arriver à en faire des militaires.

civilian and military aircrafts are two different things

As I cannot create a new topic, I'll ask here.
#1: Should I buy the game? It's 40% off on Steam, and I am a newly converted Paradox fan. Not so new, though - coming from HoI3 I'm sure I can handle the legendary learning curve of the Vicky franchise.
#2: Is the 'A House Divided' DLC a must-have?
#3: What are the essential mods? Paradox has a thriving modding community and all of it's games seem to have mods that are practically essential must haves, like the Historical Plausibility Project or CK2+.

1. Yes, obviously.More importantly, however, HOI3 and Vicky 2 are VERY different games. If you're expecting to conquer the world, you may find yourself disappointed. It's about industrialization, technology, managing your POPs, etc.
2. I would say so. It adds many, many features that improve an already outstanding game.
3. I'll defer to another on this one; I personally don't play with mods, although I've heard good things about PDM (The Pop Demand Mod).

Thanks for the quick reply!
For me, HOI3 was never about conquering the world. Choosing a Major and going that route is boring because the AI is never up to speed. What's funnest is choosing a 'doomed' nation like Poland or France and struggling in vain to resist the German onslaught. Micromanaging individual divisions to manage stacking penalty and terrain bonuses and operational maneuvers is the funnest part of the game, not exploiting the poor AI and invading half the unaligned countries before 1939.
And I have done some background reading, I know that Vicky II concerns completely different mechanics. Really, every Paradox game concerns different mechanics - Crusader Kings is Dynasty Management, HOI3 is Combat, Vicky is Politics/Economy, and EU seems to be a mashup of all of them.
And if A House Divided is necessary, I'll simply purchase the Victoria Complete Pack.

Basically, they form an invisible wall, so to speak, lets say for whatever reason you decide to puppet belgium instead of annexing it. You are under no real threat from France, unless they are brought in via alliance. Although this is for very specific situations, and 99% of the time is is better to just annex the area
I'm looking at buying Vicky 2 to play multiplayer and I wanted to ask if the latest patch was out on mac yet?
