Unassign All is nice ... but I'm still missing an option to sort by specific traits. Depending on the nation you're playing it is a PITA to get the leaders you want for certain units. Would be nice to have such an option.

Does the autopromote qualified people work now?
I don't know what you mean. AFAIK there is no such feature, so I'm asking for one (preferably moddable to be able to help the AI some more).

5. Make possible to release a puppet

I know where you're coming from, but I don't think that it's a very realistic option. It is mid 30's to late 40's and there is a lot of economic uncertainty and the constant threat of war. The 'puppeteer' is receiving resources and military assistance almost free of charge and the puppet is receiving a military guarantee. I don't think either country would be up for relinquishing that, at least in most cases. Indonesia or India possibly, but not many, but then the only reason the puppet feels it could do well enough on its own is because of the resources it has, and the puppeteer wants those. The puppeteer may want to get rid of their need to defend a country, but I don't think that is realistic either.

I do absolutely understand what you mean though, I myself am guilty of modding countries to be independent, I just don't think it can be implemented with a good reason.

@lobosrul i'm aware of the problem with a lack of leader filter. Its at the top of the todo-if-we-get-time-over list so its not forgotten.

The theater tab is a good idea. But i see it not well enough implemented. A bit useless ill say: I fear seeing war going bad and withouth nothing to do.... yes a bit of red lights and allied hqs collapsing. Other thing implemented to play only with majors, and me, as other who played hundreds of games, are a bit bored of repeating majors games.
I think its always the same, new ideas, with great potential but not well carried out.

What about improving politics system? What about events?

You always have the OOB organizer mod.

well there is some new politics stuff with coups (see video diary) and more historical elections. Also there are some new events, for example for the undeclared war but also some others.

This looks really good. Along with DIG the game will make a giant leap forward - toward becoming the ultimate strategic WW2 game someday. I just hope you will next time (next expansion) put in just as much effort to improve the research/production/economic parts of the game.

Some concrete remarks:
While I wouldn't go so far to crawl over broken glass and kiss somebody's feet :) , I would really appreciate a better control over turning on/off the reinforcement/upgrade/prioritize buttons, something like turning on/off "all infantry units", or "all units of a certain theatre", or "individually within a division (e. g. panzer brigades not currently upgrading -mot. inf. brigades currently upgrading)".
I also like the DH filter by rank.
Can you incorporate all theatre/HQ based issues in the new theatre environment (like AI on/off), also the coordination with allies ("like defend/attack province", "handling of expeditionary forces", etc.)? Then renaming the new button to "General Staff" would be most appropriate!

Weiter so! Keep it up!

While you are at it: the map needs some adjustment as well. There is an important province missing: Bozen/Südtirol (Southern Tyrolia or Bolzano/Alto Adige in Italian). While the 2 leaders kind of kept it under the blanket, there was still a smoldering conflict (even some underground resistence movement still in the 1960ies). If you check the DH map, it's pefectly depicted there! On the scale of the HOI3 map, it probably takes 2 provinces. You could even create some historic events around it.

I love that new Theatres tab - that's going to be very handy. And I'll add my Thanks for the "unassign all" button - a dream come true!

Since we're on the topic of Theatres, there are few some issues I'd like to address.

There are three specific unit issues I have with Theatres that make navigating through the command tree confusing and cumbersome. These are naval units, air units and a multitude of garrisons. I have found, playing as Germany, that I build a large number of garrisons to guard the coastline of Europe. I don't fill in every province, just most of the major ports. Plus, I have quite a few (1 x GAR, 3 x MP) Divs I build for Partisan control in various places.

Is there any way to abstract the command hierarchy for these units (naval, air and garrison) so that I don't end up with long lists in the Land Command Tree? That new menu that came out with Semper Fi is very convenient, I use it all the time. But these other units are often in the way.

I feel it would be best if the naval and air command chain were represented in an abstract way, without any on-map units. Then, when necessary, the player could simply attach the abstracted naval or air command unit to a HQ when needed. For myself, I usually control these units manually.

The same kind of structure would be convenient with garrisons as well. I really don't want to waste the manpower building all the different levels of HQs for the various units, so I usually attach them to a single Theatre HQ directly. This only works well when that Theatre is ONLY composed of garrison units - otherwise, the Command Tree becomes difficult to navigate with one long list of garrisons. I've actually lost the occasional unit that way!

Thanks again for all the work you have put into improving Hearts of Iron.

Any chance these new theatre improvements also include an "AI unit re-organization" button that works for Naval and Air assets as well!? I'm really getting tired of seeing these massive super fleets the AI theatres like to create without my permission(ie. 30 Cap/60 escort/50 other). It's a real pain to try and manually control every fleet in the British, American or Japanese navies just to prevent this idiocy. Oh, and how about temporary manual control over a brigade/division/corp/army/ag thats under theatre AI without having to remove it from the heirarchy?

Everything else sounds good, can't wait! 28th, right?

Any good news with regard to getting the reserve mission working as it was designed, or any improvements in the air mission parameters such as stop at str/org% orders?

Hmmm...Looks good. :)

Could you fix the event of the Lithuania Ultimatum? Historically Germany took 3/4 of the coastline and in game it appears that Germany took it all. ICE addresses this problem by making the Klaipedia province bigger but it would be nice if this were fixed in vanilla.

looking great and all, but could you please use some of the stuff that was already in hoi2 as some noted, and it's variants. of course there are other priorities, but there are many ideas that were already made for hoi2 that were really cool. like the liberate puppet, doesn't seem hard to implement, just make sure the AI never does it by default. and the "give allied cores" would be really cool

if you use AI control on theatres you can already see fronts on the map in SF drawn as dashed black lines. it will get one against every non-friendly country, but too small ones will be skipped (eg luxemburg)

Are you also giving us a possibility to tell the AI where it's exact frontline is? Sometimes it just skips provinces, this happens mostly on army level. Or is this the AI at work, eleminating low infra provinces from the front it wants to cover?

Will the day/night indicator on the minimap be fixed?

what is wrong with it?

fronts are generated, so you cant move them manually. Not sure about the holes, but its probably that.

Afaik it is the same through the whole year. Regardless of month it indicates for example ~20 hours of daytime and ~4 hours of nighttime in northern finland/sweden/norway, which might be true for the summer, but surely isn´t in winter. I personally think that this is a minor issue but will use this opportunity to ask about a (imho) serious task :)
Will you look into the supply issue where troops get always supported from the first port captured? When fighting in western india as japan your troops still get supplied from shanghai/any port in china you captured in your china-campaign. Due to the low infrastructure of the yunnanregion this isn´t working very well. Sure, as a human player you are able to improve infrastructure over time to overcome this, but it would be more realistic/work for the ai too to have these troops supplied via the indian ports (mumbay/calcutta/etc) you captured. This may happen all around the world (allied invasion in spain supplying troops in germany/invasion of us mainland...), the situation in india will happen very often. Thanks in advance.
