Adolf “You cant just burst in like this what is the meaning of this interruption?”
Joachim “We felt the intrusion was warranted under the circumstances Adolf, We have just accepted the unconditional surrender of Yugoslavia!”
Adolf “Steward, get some drinks in here at once we must celebrate.”

Adolf receives a telegram from Beck.
‘Ploiesti oil fields captured intact we have our oil.’

24/6/40
Ludwig telephones Joachim.
“Tell Adolf the Romanians have surrendered, the oil fields are safe.”

1/8/40
Meeting of chiefs of staff, Adolf is present.
Herman “Well Adolf as of 25/7/40 the Greeks have surrendered, Bulgaria is fully occupied(there was no surrender event) and we believe their government has gone into exile in their ally Italy’s territory. I say territory because all of mainland Italy is occupied only Sicily and Africa remain.”
Adolf “Good, leave enough troops to finish the Italians off and redeploy the rest for Operation Stone.”
Ludwig “It will be done at once.” He instructs an aid as the briefing continues.

Germany has lost 111,830 men, but no units. Our enemies have lost 1,469,518 men, more than 13 times as many. 230 enemy units have been destroyed, 149 of which were combat divisions.

The CORE(centre) of Europe is secure under the jackboot of Germany, what lies ahead? OPERATION STONE, its between a rock and a hard place.

Erich(Raeder) “it’s an utter disgrace, they were supposed to have surrendered 9 months ago.”
Adolf “Who?”
Erich “The Danes.”
Adolf “They did.”
Erich “Someone should tell their navy our CAG’s operating out of Wilhelmshaven sunk them when they tried to attack one of our convoys.”
Adolf “The bloody cheek of it, well they got what they deserved. Anything else exciting happening whilst I have been ill?”
Herman “Yes we told Finland we didn’t need their assistance against Russia, after all Stalin is our friend.”
Adolf “Yes our ‘FRIEND’. Joseph, Wilhelm would you both remain behind when the others leave?”
Both “Yes Adolf, no Problem.”
Joachim “Also we annexed both Bulgaria and Italy.”
Adolf “Progress is good guys, but we need to keep on target, we only have so much time.”
Ludwig “As the map below shows all our mobile forces are heading for the breach in the Maginot line now that the southern front is stabilised. The French moved a lot of forces south to stop our armoured thrusts, even now they are moving more forces south. The attack through the Maginot should be much easier now.”
Adolf “right Joseph and Wilhelm, you guys need to keep an eye on Herman, I think he might well be as stupid and crazy as Mussolini was.”

(Accidentally blocked the view of the southern France front, it now runs on the Italian/French border.)


Ludwig “below is a map of the current situation in France with an insert from earlier.”
Adolf “So progress is good. I assume we will be in Paris on time.”
Ludwig “We have already destroyed 9 divisions and a further 25 are stuck in the Maginot pocket. The Marseille pocket was destroyed but the Spanish landed a division which has also been destroyed. Paris is slightly ahead of schedule. We have done most of the ‘hard’ part.

this is currently on pause, it may continue when i have more time. The save game is still ok and i kept this version of DIG seperate so it has had no alterations and should be fine when i come back to it.

to any and all who might have been waiting for this to resume it is dead.
my semper fi version of Dig is dead it crashes whilst loading so there will no more dreams fulfilled in this AAR. but maybe next time.
