    Two questions:

    1. Will it be possible to command multinational task forces? For example US and British?

    2. Was the reaction in the first photo the response to the "Naval research news: Lasers!" thread?

That was the original plan, but we're still working on some details there, so that will have to wait until early next month.

    1. Can't see why not.

    2. Yes!

Eh, no, it was really a reaction to something that happened during the photo shoot, but we'll still stick to the first story

What do you want to achieve gameplay-wise? What are your key features?

    Hi.

I hope this video and this interview, as well as the previous developer diary, answers the question.

Thanks! It sounds very interesting and I like the focus on realism. I just hope that you will put enough work into making the interface and controls easy-to-use, as this is what kill many ambitious games.

It's our #1 priority these days. Obviously there are a few complex options we have to put in, but I think we can make the GUI really nice.

I love the Supreme Commander interface because it is so simple! Will the UI of NWAC be anything like this?

Well, we don't have building or tech trees, and we launch and refit aircraft, so obviously there is going to be differences, but generally, that's the kind of interface we go for. We try to get as closely to tried and tested RTS GUI ideas as reasonable.

I'm guessing the reason for excluding the Oscar class is because of the possibility of the Severodvinsk?

Hi. Could you explain what is that mysterious Polish military asset? I live there and, yes our forces are modernizing but the navy is.... dying Will it be Gawron-class corvette?

We're thinking Gawron, yes. Sad to hear your navy is dying.

Will there be different 3d models for the early and later Arleigh Burke class destroyers?

JanH, have you seen my recent post about the new Russian destroyer on the dev diary 1 thread? It is before my post about the Udaloy II.
