If Germany would take and keep Estonia and Latvia if would be a direct breach of Secret Protocols of Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact (in effect an act of agression against Soviet Union). I think it is bad idea to allow Germans to hold the territory (in case Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact is signed prior to those territorial gains) without immediate declaration of war against Soviet Union.

The best would be to add an event that is fired if: The player have signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and conquered either of Latvia/Estonia/Lithuania.
In the event Germany can choose to either surrender those territories to Soviet Union, or risk going to war. (Think the aid to Finland in the Finish-Winter-War... I'm pretty sure there's a small risk for war when sending aid to Finland).

Everything should be in DI:G already. If you take Baltic states after signing the pact, Soviet will declare war.
If you take them without signing the pact, Soviet will have more chances to declare war in 1940 and after.

Maybe you have a bug?

Molotov von ribbentrop pact. has a bug/error?

if you let soviets propose pact 23/24 august39, of the 3 otpions the cores Germany gains are the same except for the unholy alliance, in this choice you get the same as the rest except for Leszno.
Is this WAD or just got missed out?????

Just searched through the file and "add_core = 2036" is the one you want. i have altered this in my file and it works. That was the province number present in both of the other decisions.

Assault gun and softness / combined arms bonus?

One of the things I liked about the infantry tank or whatever it is called in ICE is the hardness it adds, allowing you to create a unit of infantry, tanks and assault engineers with the combined arms bonus.

I tested this concept in DI:G in preparation for urban warfare and AFAI recall, a unit of 2xMotInf, 1xAssaultGun and 1xEngineer had a softness of 67% thus not qualifying for combined arms bonus.

Could we possibly lower the softness of either the assault gun or the engineers by 1% in the 1.03 patch? Or is it a question of game balance? :)

This has happened 3 times in my latest 1.02 game. A few days after Romania reaches 100 relations with Germany, she cancels all trades of crude oil, thus lowering relations back down. After this happened to me the third time I grew frustrated at the waste of diplomacy etc. Then I found that you could get to 100 relations with Romania by patiently buying 1 energy from them at a time or selling them 1 supply at a time. This way I have maintained 100+ relations for almost a year now without incident.

But it would be nice if whatever causes Romania to cancel crude oil trades was fixed :)

There is a simple reason for this. The strategic effect bonus results in less oil being produced in Romania and that means they don't have it to trade. You have to trade stuff other than oil to reach 100 relations.

Since the AG's softness is already very very low, the change should be made to engineers. But why not 2xMot+2xAG or 2xMot+2xAG+1Eng ?

- IMO the strategic effects for Swedish Iron ore and Romanian oil are useless. The only way to get relations up is by trading, and they both refuse to trade anything in my game. So I just conquered them, then you get the bonus as well :p

- Also, I think Vichy should be an event where you can choose not to install Vichy but go for total conquest. Perhaps this option should even have a chance of catching some French ships in harbor?

- Experience gain seems VERY low, especially for airplanes. Airplanes never seem to get more experience, but stagnate around 20.

- you can't reassign the Goring regiment and brandenburger regiment to another division. You can only reassign other brigades to it for some reason, is this WAD?

- making the elite divisions like grossdeutschland have its own counter was a great idea! It makes it a lot easier to keep track of them :) I wish you could do the same for the SS divisions, but that won't happen unfortunately...

SF 2.0.4.f, DI:G 1.0.2, Francesco's Mod, and VP 3.1

In Jan 36 I started to influence the USA towards the axis in the diplomacy screen. The info box says I will influence them for 20, but then after I do so the info box on the icon in the triangle shows it was only for 1. Later that year the 1 went up to around 5, but not the 20 I was expecting and used to in my older SF games. Is this WAD?

Hmm, maybe you should check out Vorwärts Panzers. The first 12 Waffen-SS divisions, have their unique counters. Also a lot more is planned.

I'm able to get both of them through trades and since I realized you should NOT buy oil from Romania the trades are never revoked.

At the risk of sounding stupid, why shouldn't one buy oil from Romania? I had enough money to buy 15 oil/day from the US and when my convoys started getting sunk I switched to 15 oil/day from Romania.

Are there periodic events for Germany in DiG for Germany to get control of Soviet territory that has been conquered by / awarded to another nation (Romania in my case)? I'm a fair way into Barbarossa, and the Axis have gained more ground in the south than in the north thanks to an enormous amount of Hungarian, Bulgarian, Slovak, and Romanian troops that I further supplemented with an Armee of my own (including a corps composed fully of Panzer divisions). Anyway, the progress has been great, but now Romania controls an area much more than twice the size of its pre-1940 boundaries.

I remember in I.C.E. there were periodic events that fired after the start of Barbarossa to ensure that Germany ended up with control of most everything that the Axis conquered in the Soviet Union. I haven't seen such an event fire in DiG, which makes me wonder if that programming found its way into the new mod.

Apologies if the answer to my question is already somewhere in the 56 pages of discussion.

Yes, sell them supplies (several trade pacts of 1 supply each)

What´s the purpose of all that changes with ACs? What does “easy terrain” mean?
The tweaks about subs might be great. They were too good.

Armored Cars grant now bonus on flat (plain, desert) and less bonus on semi flat (woods, hills) terrains in order to reflect the recon ability.
