It's Victoria 2 1.3. without any mods.
no use of colony->state exploits.

Master Plan : Conquest
The limiting factor are my diplomatic points. That is the reason I let life russia and Ottoman empire, they have many provinces. Also UK has many provinces, but also some satellites. So I will remove UK from the map.

There are many german and italian minors. I will have to hope, that at least Italy and NGF forms. If it should be able without wasting a diplomat I will give NGF alsace-lorraine to let germany form. This will reduce the amount of diplomats by 4 overall. However I will help prussia and an italian minor - with killing austria and with the lower number of GP one italian minor should be able to form italy.

The both ottoman satellites should also form rumania, if one of them become GP.
I also hope that russia and OE conquer the one or other province from egypt to central asia.

Try to take the colonize earlier than the others.

- My first day as the first man in France

International diplomacy, part I.

On my first day I've gotten offers from portugal and russia to form an alliance.
I will go far over the badboy limit and won't have any allies later.
What isn't useful to me, can't help other.
However I accept.
Like in EU3 only junior partner and vassals are likely to join you through the end. I never rely on allies and not honoring a call to weapons give only a small hit in prestige and reduction of the relation.

Research
What to research first? France has a cultural tech school and cultural techs are at begin rather strong. France also some more basic techs - especially practical steam engine. Army professionalism is the strongest military tech, even when I need to have a strong military - I decide for some cultural techs.

So first tech, I chose, is ideological thougts. +1 NF and the +pluralsim inventions should help me to generate research points rather fast.

Politics
France is a HM Goverment and so I can chose my party. I like to be able to control my economy - so state capitalism and so I take "Legitimiste" into power.It's a reactionary party. They have state capitalism, but also residency and moralism, which will lead to some emigration. A short view in the political parties of france tells me that socialistic parties have state capitalism, lim. Citizenship and not-moralism as issues. But they will come later.

NF
France has only 0,99% clergymen. To maximize RP at begin I will encourage clergymen. So I chose to encourage clergymen in bretagne,normandie, because they are populated with many poor pops.

Budget
At begin I will build rather much and so I set every slider to 100%, no matter if taxes,tariffs or spendings.

Factories
I go to the production window and let me show every province, even those with none. ( Show empty states ).
At first I always build a quick and dirty industry in every state. So the craftsmen only migrate, demote for one year and not for two. Also I will have a large need of cement and glass factories later. And also some liquer and other factories for military. But the first money is fast invested and so I take a loan of 2660 at the end of the first day.

Military
I stop auto-creation/assign of leaders and mobilize my troops. And then building some units - likely in 3 inf,2cav, 2art pattern. After I build in every france-home province commerc-raider or steamers.

International diplomacy, part II
I decide to go to war with UK, not because it is hard, but because it is rather easy.
UK isn't able to transport troops from their colonies to UK and the mobilization size of UK is rather low. Also the earlier I take state from the british Isles, the less they can turn colonies into states. They are also allied with belgium and probably will join them.
(With the diplomatic mapview you can see this very good) Also I only get one time the -jingoism hit.

So I dow UK and Belgium and call to arms. UK - Southwest England and Belgium for belgian wallonie.

And I start to influence China - this should be for the first years my only country in sphere.

Troop Moving
I move my troops to the belgian border and to northern france. My navies I move to the channel.

- The first years of the war

Surprise, russia has honored both call to arms requests, while portugal hasn't

And I will accept the alliance proposal from papal states.
After I call them to arms and surprise reloaded – they also join both wars.

I see a big naval british stack at the british east coast, I move one fleet into my port and wait until the my second navy come.

my money increase to about 18k and I also take another 16k loan– I invest in further factories – giving states with one factory a second one, military purpose.

Belgian Front

2.2.1836 my troops arrived at the front. The belgian have a 21k stack at bruges ( what I can see because of the fog of war ). I begin to send troops everywhere else to occupy all of belgium with 6k armies. I want to encircle their army completely. In the next days they move their from bruges and another 30k army appears in brussels. I change my army movement a little bit and get some more troops to defend at Chaleroi, and I encircle them completely at 1.3.1836 I also start to retreat with some of the damaged armies somewhere else. Naval in the meanwhile I haven't looked at my second navy, they were intercepted by the brits and about the halve of the navy were destroyed. Some weeks later my first transporters are ready. Battle of Chaleroi 4.5.1836 it wasn't the best – not had always that luck with rolling, but in one battle I destroyed their complete army, because they were encircled.

I have about 65k , I build now in everywhere state a third factory for the pops- furniture,paper,clother, luxury goods and so on. Repay then all of my loans and lower the middle class taxes to 25% and tariffs to 50% - balanced on that day.

And start to build more briagades. My soldiers provide now 101 brigades ( so up by about 40 within 5 months ), and recruit an admiral – to do better in the next naval combat, and I get one with +2 def – excellent. In the next days I move my first build steam transporters to my main navy – may the one or other gets sink, but I don't care this.

Landing in Plymouth

the fast steam transporter were too fast for the british navy and all survived – having now a capacity to transport 10 brigades a month , the british isles will be mine within some month. And it seems they don't try to catch the navy with 58 ships. May they hunt russian or papal fleets, I don't know.

Peace in Belgium
14.7.1836

5 ½ month after the begin of the occupation of belgium – they surrender. With all these small armies I got them really fast, this can only be done if you outnumber them. They got about 20 brigades and I used for this campaign about 50 brigades. After I take some loans again to build 5 new factories and upgrade the 3 old factories.
Meanwhile in Salisbury the first land battle for britain began.

Battles in Britain

4.8.1836 That was rather fast. I expected that they send more troops to salisbury. However I want +25 warscore through battles before I kill their armies entirely. More troops are on it's way to the island. 20.8.1836 That is what I mean. More troops on both sides. 24.8.1836 I retreat from oxford, bad rolling. 23.11.1836 won in Plymouth 27.11.1836 won in Salisbury II +9 warscore , nice. More troops are landing. 15.12.1836 won second battle in Oxford. It seems they can't field more armies in the british isles and they also don't intercept my navy with 15 transporters already. This means more troops , and it's time to add Midlands and it is putting me over the badboy limit. Badboy,badboy – what you gonna do, when I come for you . Maybe bad charma but my recruited general has -2 att. 1.3.1837 winning many small battles, I have landed rather much troops at the isles I'm already at +14 through battles.

Better tactics at begin is awesome, but I'm cultural school what makes positivsm rather cheap and positivsm is also powerful. But powerful later, now I wanna have better troops. So army pofessionalism should my second tech. With the 3rd NF I promote clergymen in Rhone.

If you are question, why I wait until they offer me peace – well, if I accept their offer I don't waste a diplomat. Most diplomatic actions need one diplomat, that's the reason , with one exception – when I have 100% warscore – then a peace deal cost no diplomat.

Overall clergymen is 1,34% and clergymen in the NF between 2,2% and 3%, will have to switch NF in normandie in some month. My goal is something about 3,5% province clergymen.
I have now 88 brigades, so in the last 18 Months I was able to build some brigades.
I have 145 ships at the moment, I don't order new ships for the moment. Waiting till all have been build and reorganize navies.
I still produce too less arnament goods, but I'm able to export 55 liquer. No unemployed craftsmen

Through conquers I have now 12,65 M population ( nearly 50% increase within 4 y ), 63,6% french, 59% avg literacy.
35,3% liberal in the UH, political reforms 40%, social reforms 25% , have more than 1 militancy.
Outlaw slavery 6,5%, Weighted universal voting 4,5%. No revolts in sight, so I will not change their something in the next months, Liberals in the UH should raise to higher lvls.
Russia has 33 influence in china and is neutral, I discredit them.

Hm, Russia has gone to war with persia for tabriz and already have 15 warscore.
USA made a white peace with mexico

My war exhaustion is now at 2,72.
Spain is #8, and will probably raise trough turbo-industrialization, but no other GP surprise.

See. its events like this where the games alliance system fails horribly, there is no way to form a grand coalition against an overly aggressive player with out white peaces everywhere!

The alliance system fails often rather horrible, or better said - war where they don't have an easy landbridge. And as you mention, if another mention should join war, where I don't expect it - I normally don't care. Because they can't move troops in numbers big enough to hurt me. The + Battles warscore should then allow some month later a white peace. If the enemy brigades number should be bigger, I would handle it somehow, but even then it's hardly ever an issue. Fight where you can win, don't fight where a victory is too hard or even a loss could be possible. And I guess I play more than just overly aggresive. I have 100 years * 12 month/y * 0,5 dipl/month ( avg., at begin I have 0,4 ) = 600 diplomats * 12 badboy ( avg badboy I guess per diplomat, demand colonies from uncivs is cheaper, but I will use conquer and not protectorate cb ) = 7,200 infamy. - infamy reduction over time , avg. with 0,05 ( there is peace between wars ) -> = - 60 infamy --> 7140 infamy +- 10%.

A feature I would like is having an AI GP going off on a conquest spree and a coalition to stop them, never happens.

You can't really have a decent world war.

Also AI nations really don't know what is best for them or can understand that that advancing French creep across Africa does not mean they are friends to be loved.....

Building/upgrade everywhere, if possible, the port and set in the trade window for those ressources the amount I buy to 2000 manually. Sadly, automatic it buys only small amount of those goods and it takes ages. further recruiting brigades. I have 4,4% soldiers in my empire. I move my clergymen-NF from Bretagne to french provence I reduce my poor taxes to 55%. 22.2.1841 reduce poor taxes to 45% - still have 170 surplus 12.5.1841 sending 10 brigades to guyana ( south america ) and 10 brigades to southeast africa. 28.5.1841 I make 600 surplus, reduce poor tax to 35% 20.6.1841 reduce poor tax to 30% 29.10.1841 researched medicine, now I'm going for a 4th NF and I tech State & Goverment. I have now 18 RP gain. Move Clergymen-NF from Rhone to french wallonie. I can't turn colonies into states. I have 0,00 war exhaustion. I have 197 brigades and 189 ships build. 7% of my pops are soldiers. May I reduce military spending when hit 10%.

UK have 0,94% in victoria and about 0,7% in east canadian provinces and I have 7 diplomats – this means WAR. With so many colonies, I can turn them only very very slowly, another reason to go for some states from civs. This also lead to only 3,8% craftsmen overall. This should negate the cement shortage, also there are some conquered provinces, where cement factories are build and will be filled with unemployed craftsmen. sry for no update yesterday, today another one will follow

At the moment I decrese opinions of the other GP at china. I guess something about 1875-85 I will stop decreasing opinion, except against russia. They shall not get the province in the northeast per decision. And then I will eat china in 4 wars. until 1900 or so.
And about India, I've startet same days ago a thread at the forum about pan-nationalist rebels, but no answer that really makes me satisfied. There are since 2,3 years pan-national india rebels doing nothing .. However I will eat the indian minors, which don't share the same province with an other indian unciv.

The next years will be about reducing UK to the british isles to prevent any colonization of them in africa, maybe focus on conquest of the one or other coast to prevent any colonization. I'm also playing with the thought of getting russian provinces around the pacific, but I would have to calc before, how much diplomats I really need for the whole work ...
But now I will test my GPU with a furmark test...

Great Census since the last from 1861 11.3.1870 National Comparison, Score nearly doubled my score National Comparison II my population increased about 50% Country Population craftmen increased about 55%. Even through the colonial conquest from britain, my craftsmen promoted little bit faster and in the last years I have turned many provinces into states. my Population in Detail and my french population dropped to 20,8%(-1,2%), the majority are still other with 22,9%(-1,5%). I guess my japanese population haven't changed that much by assimiliation/emigration and dropped from 8,8% to 6,4%, so about 35% were through conquests and about 15% through pop growth And my Factories by Employees Vlaandern is still the state with the most workforce and increased something about 25%.

1.1.1880 Socialists get 39,17% I spared 38 k RP and now research philosphy lvl 5 and then electricity. Score: Doubled points again, and with pacifistic policy in peace, my war score is really low. National Comparison II population went up by about 40%. Country Population my craftsmen tripled. my Population in Detail My French population increased to 27,1% (+6,3%), the majority are still other with 28,3%(+5,4%). I guess my Bengali population didn't change that much, than other. They dropped from 9,6% to 7,9%., so something about the 20% came through growth and 20% through conquests/colonies. My military spending is since ages at 49% and my soldier number increased to 10% … also I haven't build new Brigades since ages. Still have the ~ 900 Brigades, also since ages. And my Factories by Employees Bombay,Madras are often in it. In Potosi there is a huge glass factory and Vlaandern is still the best european state in terms of factories. I also don't know whats wrong with my oil. No provinces of mine changed to oil production.. I have rather high overproduction of some goods which I will readjust with electric gear.
