The East is Red: A Bengal KR AAR.

The Process of Industrialization must be done in a way that leaves resources for other area's of development. Unifying the sub-continent is the primary goal of the government in Calcutta. Industrialization is still important, but it is well understood that the full resources of a unified socialist India could industrialize the nation very quickly. Therefore it was decided by Party leadership that Bengal would pursue a military first policy. Bengal will do whatever is necessary to crush the Princely Federation. Delhi with its foreign support would have to come later.

The first phase of Industrialization would begin with the construction of 2 new industrial complexes in the cities of Bengal and Dhaka. The rest of our resources were allocated to the construction of Airbases that would be useful in future wars. It is planned that at a later date once the army has been expanded efforts will be made into building a decent air-force for both land and naval defence.


In other parts of the world the evils of capitalist exploitation are finally becoming apparent. The German economy experienced the worst economic failure in its history as traders in the Berlin Stock exchange saw their fortunes fall into oblivion. The majority of the world being closely tied to the German world economy would suffer not long after. Naturally the socialist nations of the world were not affected do to superior economic structuring and management.


In America, recent clashes between labor unions and private security hired by Capitalist Bourgeoisie. This clash would be known as the battle of the overpass and would have dire effects on america in the coming years.


Bengal is not without troubles of its own. In recent months 2 sub-factions have developed within the Bengali politics. One faction called the Radical Socialist who take after socialists in Britain. The other being Social Democrats who advocate a more measured approach to things. They are both nominally part of the ICP, but they have vastly different views on how Marxism can be achieved.


In one move that shook the political landscape of South America, the nations of Peru and Bolivia chose to federate. This greatly shifts the power balance and puts them in direct odds with Brazil since they lay claim to part of the Brazilian administered Amazon region.


Troops have been moved toward the border of the Princely Federation. We are not nearly yet ready for war but the troops shall be in position for future operations.


With the nation continuing down the path of Marxism, it was decided that now would be a good time if any for the nation to being extensive land reform. The Radical Socialist preferred a crash program to collectivize the farms, while the Social Democrats insisted on a gradual approach. It was decided that a gradual approach was needed since a crash program would likely overwhelm the farmers and create vast amounts of rice rage.


In the current political situation of Bengal the Cabinet is as such. While technological efforts are being focused on Industry and the Army. We need every possible advantage over our enemies.



To kick start the new year the French have arranged for the Third International to be held in Paris. It shall be a grand congress of socialist nations from around the world as they discuss common goals, ideals and material assistance to one another.

In great celebration the Third Internationale is underway. Delegates from every nation arrived and the debates went well into the night on the first day. France and Britain wholly endorsed the efforts of the Spanish and American socialist movements. The Germans were naturally upset by these announcements.



Most importantly was the role of Women in the future of socialism world wide. Bengal was one of the nations to quickly endorse the universal suffrage. In addition support was promised to South American Syndicalist movements.


Back home in Calcutta, the debate began on how to structure the nations local governments. It was decided that in order to give the local governments proper representation and power, it would be necessary to incorporate all the communes currently in place since the revolution. This is an important step to achieving Marxism. Meanwhile the Japanese government has turned further toward militarism.


It also became apparent that Bengali Army would need training. Britain and France were approached with request for officer training. The British were all to happy to help a former colony become stronger while the French claimed a lack of resources.



Improving agricultural output will be key to feeding a rapidly growing industrial state. Research on modernizing the armies forces is progressing well.


In Europe the Spanish gathered several other "Catholic" nations in Madrid and created an alliance in response to the Internationale and Mitteleuropa. This may interfere heavily with the CNT-FAIs efforts in Spain. Meanwhile Bengali industry has completed the construction of several airfields. These were strategically place for future use in projecting air power into China and southern India. Excess capacity was soon devoted to the equipping of new divisions.




In Britain the Trade Union Congress is underway, it will greatly effect the future of the Union. Meanwhile in Bengal, the workers have gone on strike as is their right to do so.

For some reason on my computer when ever I activate KR with the JSMGE tool Germany, carlist Spain and Romania have messed up ministers. otherwise the rest of the game is normal so ill adapt to it. Its funny because in one game I got to 1943 and Hitler magically came to power.

Seeking to expand Germany's dominance over the opressed peoples of Africa, Herman Goring and his Mittelafrika have attacked Portugal with the intention of creating a full German hegemony over the continent. This is troubling even if it is one imperialist nation fighting another.


More importantly in Russia the Bolsheviks have arisen again and formed their own breakaway state of Soviet Russia. Not forgetting the shelter they gave the Indian communists, Bengal was quick to recognize them as a legitimate state. Even so the fight for Communism in Russia will be hard and long. Many nations have sent support to the Whites while the Soviets have received little. The good news however is that the White armies will be distracted by attacks from the Finns who seek to grab territory along Karelia.



The first group of new factories has been completed and the resources will now go toward the military buildup. It is imperative that we outmatch our enemies in equipment, numbers and supply.

The situation in Russia continues to deteriorate as the Siberians have revolted and declared war on Moscow. Soviet Russia tried to make overtures but was rejected. In order to win the war the Soviet supreme council SOVNARKOM has chosen a policy of total war. It is the hope of many Socialists around the world that they win.

If India is ever to be taken seriously on the world stage she must be a modern industrialized nation, no matter the cost! This extra capacity will be used to ramp up armament of Bengali forces at a faster rate.


In the Union of Britain the Trade Union Congress ended with a surprise decision. It was decided that Britain would give more autonomy to Scotland and Whales. It is a move that sets a foolish precedent, it will only result in more bickering and a muted response when times of war are upon them.


The current state of the Army is at 5 divisions. This number must triple.


In Russia things are starting to get wierd. The White forces are not fighting a 3 front war while Siberia is being invaded by Mongolia and Transamur with the help of Japan.



In east Asia, Japan is now fighting to put down a revolution in the Korean peninsula. It is a monarchist revolution to restore the deposed Korean Monarch. Its not like to succeed. While in central Europe the somewhat fractured Austrian Empire made the choice to keep the system of dualism.

During the year 1936 America had experience the effects of black monday as well as a massive heatwave. This combined with massive political instability has lead into the election of 1937. Jack Reed the leader of the socialists in America had sat down with the President for negotiations to calm various disputes. The leader of the southern Minutemen Huey Long had also demanded a seat at the conference. One thing lead to another and both parties walked out on the conference and America would never be the same.



With everything spiralling out of control the rust belt of the united states succeeded and formed the Combined Syndicates of America, a workers state. In the south was formed the American Union State, which claimed to defend traditional American values. In the north east the Canadians were very quick to sieze control of New England rather than let it fall to the CSA.



The 3 main factions were quick to arm themeselves for the long war that would follow. While in the west the Governors of California, Oregon and Washington chose to succeed and form the Pacific States of America. They quickly turned to militarism to keep themeselves safe.




Various nations sent weapons and supplies to the CSA while the United States began mobilizing the national guard in the western states. The Islands of Hawaii took this oppertunity to secede aswell.



Canada also took the time to take the Panama canal in the interest of "keeping free trade in the oceans uninterrupted".


The PSA made an agreement with the US, to help fight the AUS and CSA in exchange for independence and control of Alaska.
