Hungary Flavor Mod
I like to play Victoria 2 (or any other historical game, for that matter), as Hungary. And since there is no Hungary in Vic2 by default, I have been modding it from day 1 I bought this game. In time, I even started to write decisions (some historical, some fictional), to add more flavor to my games. Right now, there's around 20 of them, so I decided to share it with you. Some decisions are not Hungary exclusive (but have culture or province requirements instead, so can be enacted as e.g. Austria too), so people who don't want to upset the vanilla game balance, may also find useful things in this mod. Those of you, who want to try the whole package, think about it as an alternative history. What if Hungary managed to remain an independent state between the Habsburg and Ottoman Empires? Would she manage to become a Great power? Or what would have happened if Hungarians had reached compromise with the minorities?
I. Installation
(The Mod is 1.3 compatible)
1. Full install
Copy everything to its respective folder and overwrite if necessary. This will give you the decisions and a brand new playable Hungary in the Grand Campaign scenario, with other RGO resource and map tweaks.
Most notably:
-Hungary independent, no AUS cores, same starting techs as AUS, literacy cca 30% (so the Springtime events may fire as it should)
-Suceava: owned by Moldavia, in the Moldavia region
-Kotor: owned by Montenegro, in the Montenegro region
-Dalmatia: owned by Ottomans
-several province and region names changed (localised) for Hungary
Those trolls out there who might find this latter point offensive (e.g. that I changed Bratislava to Pozsony) take a deep breath, before you comment here to state how offended you are, and consider two things. If you are offended by this (1.) why the hell would you play a Hungary Flavor Mod, anyway? Seriously. (2.) Refer to the "Minimal Install" instructions below.
2. Minimal Install
Copy only
-the decision folder, and
-the HUN.csv (from the "localisation" folder)
-the event_modifiers.txt (from "common" folder)
(If you have mods installed, tampering this txt, copypasta everything from mine below ##HUN)
This will give you only the decisions, without altering anything else. (Although the "Budapest" decisions won't make much sense)

Contrary to what devs at PI might think, Budapest exists only since 1873. Pest and Buda were two separate cities, with Buda being the nation's capital.

Kaiser und König

Start Construction of Lánchíd
Lánchíd is the first permanent bridge over Danube in Hungary. It was built for 10 years, finished in 1849.

Millenial Celebrations
Celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Honfoglalás, the arrival of the Magyar people to Hungary.

Regulate Tisza River

-above mentioned provinces gain Regulated Tisza modifier for the end of the game, giving +5% farm size and efficiency
Build the Parliament
The Parliament building is the landmark of Budapest, and houses the nations Parliament ever since it was built in 1896.

-The Milenial Celebrations decision don't make much sense, if you enact it as KuK. It assimilates to south German, whereas it should to Hungarian. Also it reduces militancy for every pop, but it should only reduce militancy of Hungarian pops.
-The Parliament modifier is completely NOT what I had in mind for this decision. I intended it to be a permanent bureaucrat NF modifier for Budapest province alone. Rationale: If Budapest becomes an administrative bubblehead, well, that's what IRL happened. I copied the respective lines from the national_focus.txt, but nothing appeared in game, so, I have no idea if it worked or not. And I just can't release it that way.
-HUN starts without an army. _oob.txt-s are too complicated for me, sry. Also, as of 1.3 you may find difficult to buy liquor or small arms, required for troops. Sry, this is also beyond my control.
-Lánchíd decisions should be events. Like you decide to start the construction and 10 years later you get an event that its finished. But unfortunately events are way over my head, so I decided to stick with this version.
IV. Update
23rd April
-Fixed Parliament decision, having 2 "allow" conditions, instead of "potential"
-German and French versions now should display the English texts. (HUN.csv had only one column filled with text) Also fixed the spelling of "millenial" (was missing an L)
26th April
-Fixed the Dominions of the Crown decision, now annexes (correctly) only 1 and 2 state countries.
-Edited the AUS decision "Austro-Hungarian Compromise" to check whether Hungary exists or not. (file included in 'decision' folder) Previously it was possible to form KUK even if HUN existed, because decisions I made gave HUN cores on AUS territory. Now it is fixed.
I have very limited skills in coding, even in this fairly dumbed down language, for which a 1000 thx to PI, making this Mod possible! So, if anyone can help with the above issues, or others, your help is welcome and appreciated!
Any advice and feedback is also appreciated (apart from the ones specified in I.1)!
