((Looks like the Compromise will be passing with 10-8, along with a real President in office this time, unlike the last 2 times :p))

((It was a close one on COMP1856, my original refusal to edit out the suicide veto nearly killed it))

((Yeah, but you've got to admit that the fears for such a veto are justified and real, I was even a bit worried but such power within the hands of a strictly military organization))

((True, True. I also realized that it was unnecessary for my Personas long term aims ans schemes to include the veto and a Affirmation of the Legality of the Department of the South and the Southern National Militia was much safer and more inline with said aims and schemes))

Edit: Seek75: ((Im not sure of the Exact count but im certain it passed))

((Yeah, it passed with somewhere around 3 votes against it, mine included. Khur wants the Mormons to receive their own independent state before the US can go around freeing others))

((Anyone got a vote count on Cuban Liberty? Just out of curiosity.))

((Out of curiosity, I'd also like to know what the other objections were exactly. With the exception of irreconcilable isolationism or Khur's rediculous notions :{P I tried to make this bill bulletproof.

EDIT: I will now be adding period moustaches to all smilies))

((By my Count its 10-8 on the compromise, Cameron switched))

((I recounted to Confirm, it is 10-8 in favor of COMP1856)

........... and to legitimize nations, formed out of states, existing within the United States below the federal level - such as the supposed "Southern nation", with it's own interstate military force...........

I Particularly Enjoy how Mr. Brass speaks of the "supposed" Southern Nation as if the Southern Way of Life, Dialect, and Ethnicity are all figments of my imagination. Perhaps the SNM now needs a Song to march to that expresses our love of the Southern Nation. I have heard the tune "Dixie" and think it would be great for this job.

One nation, united, was good enough for the Founders and is good enough for me. If George Washington or Thomas Jefferson, Virginians both, could hear you speak they'd wash your mouth out with soap.

((Not actually what I was thinking of, but all the same...;)))

((King O'Malley, a christian socialist, is the most famous American in early Australian politics. He introduced such winning concepts as banning female barmaids, temperence and dropping our 'u's. They threw out his ideas and now there's a pub named after him :{D>. I could see Washington and Jefferson doing much better in their time (ie: pre-Victorian) when forced labour, general corruption, and military rule was the norm.))

Mr. Vallejo would note that while the removal of the veto clause is admirable, he does not believe that the replacement clause - separating out one group of states and declaring Executive offices and a militia formed from the cooperation of states as authorities above the states - is necessary and lawful. His vote remains a Nay.

Gentlemen, it seems the election has become a foregone conclusion. The majority has has decided that they no longer like living under the US Constitution, and have voted for Mr.Cameron's platform of radical change instead.

But for those, any of you, who still wish to live in the United States of America, the federal union that the Founders created and intended, and not in Mr.Cameron and Mr.Davis' federation of multiple american nations, I implore you to speak out.

If the Constitution means anything to you, I urge you to speak out in favor of Mr.Hensdale.

I have not put myself behind any changes in the constitution; the only amendment I would pass right now if it were possible would be the extension of the voting franchise to women, on the same terms as men. I previously supported the Representation of the Territories Amendment which allowed American citizens outside the States themselves to be involved in the Federal level of government. Which is completely contrary to the accusations that I am obsessed with State power. One day I hope to see an amendment banning slavery, when this country is ready.

Your scaremongering may sound good in your head Mr Brass, but the American people aren't fools you know.
