Copenhagen looks like a problem with Darkest Hour itself- I can't believe that was never spotted in testing. Can you mod straits out of the game?

I think National France has events to get their provinces back from their allies, we just forgot to make one for Delhi (They've been the lowest member in the Entente before this version) Liberation of European states is supposed to be you manually releasing them (The AI will do that, IIRC), though there should be events to de-puppet them.

The Exile''s triumphant return to Britain (And France, technically) is all the reward the Entente gets- I don't think I've ever seen them actually take over the rest of the continent before now! The rest of the empire doesn't get any kind of pat on the back for things, which seems in character- it's not like Germany's puppets get thanked for their part in defeating France.

I'm only an occasional Kaiserreich player but I don't find Copenhagen an untoward problem in DH. If you're looking for a rationale for it being a hard nut think of the effect of heavily mining the Belt. On that premise the Danish fleet is only there to ward off the minesweepers you'd otherwise send in, and you can deal with it as you would any other fleet that you can't get at by sea - Navs.

Copenhagen isn't usually a problem when it's owned by Denmark, since they have basically no army or navy to defend it with. It becomes nigh impenetrable when a stronger power, like Germany or France, hold Copenhagen and properly garrison it.

I ended up airdropping an invasion force on the island, which instantly destroyed the German Union's navy (they can't have ships in the straight, so there is no where for them to go). It was just an unnecessary and frustrating way to end the conflict, and the strait should either be removed or the 'control' of the straight should go to a different province. Also, as I noted above, the German Empire never had an event that moved their capital to Berlin; or, indeed, an event to give up colonies to France/Britain/whomever. Now that might have been because Russia occupied swaths of Germany- Russia is not part of the Entente in my game, and, indeed, if I were to play longer a conflict with Russia (and maybe Japan) would be my next steps.

If it were simply a 'tough nut to crack' that'd be one thing, but the only way to take Copenhagen and the island next to it in this version is by mass aerial assault. That is absurd, and should be changed.

Is that unique to Kaiserreich? In straight DH Full the Danes or their allies have to have ships at sea in the zone to block the straight. If they remain in port you can walk across into Odense and then into Copenhagen. If sinking the Danish fleet or driving it into port by nav bombing doesn't open up that pathway I don't think it's a DH problem. And, yes, it would be absurd.

If you fix Copenhagen's strait issue maybe look at the Black Sea too, unless it's meant to be literally impossible to leave it with ships

Well, if you don't own Constantinople, it's meant to be impossible. Whomever controls that city controls the entrance/exit of the Black Sea. Though I will admit the restriction that you have to be allied with the owner in a war to move has always rubbed me a bit wrong personally.

Did Constantinople even stop movement through the Black Sea to the Mediterranean in this time period though? I honestly can't see the Turks saying to Russia that they can't go through their land. It's even more stupid when you're at war with them.

True. Though I can sorta understand the reasoning (likely to represent why Gallipoli was needed).

Still, I could easily see changing it to be like Denmark, where you can move if you can break the navy. Not being able to move at all unless you're allied in a war or control it yourself is a bit...off.

Anyone know what's the issue with my buttons in the top left?

Alright so I decided to play Germany after swamping them with France, and it went great, despite running out of manpower while breaking into France, I managed to bring the socialist in the Mittleeuropa, and can cast my gaze towards the entente. Anyway the only issue I had was that for some reason my naval units cannot leave Singapore. o_O

Edit: Also if Russia could come to your aide when you sign that little agreement with them, that'd be great.

I've been playing without problems but am suddenly crashing as I try to load a save in 1944. I'm running DH v 1.03, Kaiserreich 1.4 Beta 3. My error report is
"'sp_anti_air = {' Line = 402188 file = Mods\Kaiserreich for DH 1.4. BETA 3\scenarios\save games\CSA.eug"
"CSA" is obviously the name of the save.

Line 402188 of the save is just "sp_anti_air = { 1 } "

I can't load either of the autosaves, which are in '44 and '43 respectively, but I can load older saves from another campaign as well as start a new campaign without issue. Can anyone help explain what the issue might be? I'd really appreciate it, as this is my first full game and I was really enjoying it.

I'm no Dev copy your save before you try it !

I found 3 occurences of " sp_anti_air = " in my save files.
it should either be "sp_anti_air = { } " or "sp_anti_air = 1" or "sp_anti_air = { hill_defense = 2 forest_defense = 2...}"

Depending on the context, you can guess which one is the good one.
