This is in my opinion the big flaw with KR, apart from the American Civil War; the Entente is almost totally irrelevant unless it is either human controlled or allied with Russia, in which case it also irrelevant because Russia cannot directly engage the Syndicalists until they have defeated Germany and are too strong to stop...

I initially figured they'd be like vanilla axis; limited territory, but reasonably strong industry with areas to expand. In practice that just doesn't work; while Canada's got a pretty skookum navy, they never successfully invade the British isles, I haven't seen Australasia actually do anything, and I've only seen Delhi actually expand (just conquered all of India and Burma in my current Japan game.) Since all the entente are so separated, and save for Delhi, lack much in the way of ground power, they seem rather impotent.

I'd almost want to see the Mediterranean Bloc given more attention, since they, at least, seem to actually do something, assuming Carlist Spain wins the Spanish Civil War.

Actually, since I'm on it, a few other observations;

- Remove the VP from Panama. I've played three games so far, and every time the USA loses the civil war, they retreat there and are untouchable, as none of the other American nations spend much time or effort on a Navy to go get them. Either that, or add some kind of event for a USA surrender when they're booted off the mainland.

- Commune of France could use a buff. Even if the intention is for the nation, when AI controlled, to get stomped, they should last longer than they do.

- Entente needs to actually invade things. I'm not sure what tweaks can be done to the AI, but Canada needs to try to take over the Union of Britain; it's their whole raison detre after all.

- Korean and Formosan revolt appears to remove Japan's cores on both territories; i.e. their IC counts as being in a foreign nation post-revolt, so even if Japan wins, they lose ~10 IC or so, on top of dealing with partisans. Furthermore, Japan should get some kind of "We've Defeated the Rebels" event, as the revolt events themselves drive dissent through the roof, and defeating the rebels provides no benefit for Japan. I was sitting somewhere around 26 dissent in my first playthrough post-revolt.

- USA successors need to produce a navy. As it is, it seems their build AI is focused on ground troops; which makes sense for the Civil War, but afterwards they just end up pumping out endless stacks of infantry and militia, and have nothing to do with them.

- One last point; it might be worth considering using some of the DH tech teams. For example, in base KR, many nations lack rather important tech abilities; for instance, Japan has no team with any rocket skills, but DH does, and it took me maybe 5 minutes to transfer some of the teams over. I haven't tried every nation, not by a long shot, but I wouldn't surprise me if there's other nations sorely in need of some more tech team options which are present in DH.

I have a question, are Russia and the USA suppose to have non-stop revolts? I cant get sixty seconds into a game before any country with five present dissent has at least one revolter.

Both nations are almost guarenteed a civil war, hence the massive dissent hits. In USA its pretty much scripted to happen in early 1937 I think it is.

When it comes to Russia you CAN avoid the civil war entirely, though you have to get a handle on the dissent or it will just keep piling up. Not to mention forced events and multiple choice events can increase dissent by a lot. A 'military junta' Russia is almost guaranteed a civil war due to the massive dissent hit, but survive the war, and you'll be a very tough nation. But you must be very very careful about the neighbours and Japan especially, they'll to grab your land as you focus on the naughty Soviets.

Supply Problems?

I'm playing as Austria-Hungary trying to build an overseas empire (I know) and I'm having a huge problem with the supply AI for this mod. If I build "too many" supply ships the AI will put 600+ supply ships on one port and not put them anywhere else, or it will try to supply places like my Somalia colony from Baku!

If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it...I want to keep playing to see if I can overtake an incredi-strong Germany but I don't want to feel like I'm having to do chores by keeping tabs on all my island supply chains.

or better yet, let panama take it at the start of the civil war, as is right now with guantanamo

I thank you for your reply but I don't think you understand what I mean. When I played K. on HoI2 the civil war events were scripted yes but I didn't have revolts on this scale. I tried playing as the U.S. in DH and I didn't even get to the U.S. election before half the country was controlled by revolvers.

Is there a event, for the fate of southern italy, if it is conquered by an Entente nation?
( I conquered it as National France but nothing has happened so far)
I can't recall ever seeing one, though it would be interesting to have a Unified Italy in the Entente camp.

Well there is a path were the italian federation joins the entente, in which case southern italy would be given automatically after annexation due to claims, but the Ai has never so far chosen this path.

But incase the italian federation is neutral or allied with Germany, there could be somekind of event with choices like:

1. Offer it to the Italian Federation for an Alliance
2. Restore the Kingdom of two Sicilies
3. Create a (non-Syndicalist) Republic of Italy
4. Keep it under occupation for now

EDIT:I would propose that on the KR forum myself, but for someone reason the forum system doesnt let me register.

First off, I want to say thank you to the Kaiserreich team. This is really the most immersive alternate history game I've ever played.

I'm not sure whether this is the right thread for bug reports, but in case it is, I've got one: When playing Germany and allying the Ottomans during the war against the Syndicalists an event fired that released Libya ("Tripolitana went with Declare Complete Independence"). Libya then left the Alliance and accepted peace with France and suddenly everbody was back at peace and my guys were taking a nice train ride back to Berlin. Afterwards the Ottomans chose "Let them Go!" in the "Tripolitana declares Independence!" event. I guess this is not quite WAD. I'm running Kaiserreich for DH 1.1 on DH 1.01.1, btw.

Had the exact same thing happening to me...

Just wanted to check whether I should check myself into a mental institution, but I clearly recall having distinct images for my units playing as Russia in the earlier version. As in, the photographs that shows when you select them. Now they are just bland generic ones.

It's a result of the switch to DH's tech tree. It's being worked on though ;)

Kaiserreich is an awesome mod.
You people made me addicted to Socialism. I know consider myself an Anarcho-Socialist.

Nice! :D
