Karhun started graduate school, combined with quite possibly losing the itch to work on it. Also, right around the time Silly started combining AzeriEU3 features with MiscMods, Karhun posted on another forum something along the lines of 'Someone else has started integrating MiscMods with AzeriEu3, which was the direction I was headed anyway'.
Kersch, this is confirmed!?!?!?
You have TONS of pages to go back and look through buddy! We have bajillion reccomends!
Also, eliphas, if you could, if you start work on this scenario, or whoever else does, could you make it with original miscmods in mind - i.e. map the same, and no flag/coat of arm changes, among others. For some reason, I don't like the Azeri/D&T style dull country flag/shield colors...I like the vibrant ones of vanilla.
But yeah this sounds like a hell of a kickass scenario. Mind asking karhun on another forum to drop by here, and if he's stopping, dumping all of his coding work so far as anew ver?

I don't mean to keep speaking for him, but from what I understand he's on hiatus for an indefinite amount of time but he hasn't actually abandoned it.

MiscMods Expanded 1.0
MiscMods Expanded is a combination of the latest version of Brainmeat's MiscMods (.799) with some changes of my own. This mod-of-a-mod is essentially the same MiscMods, but with some added graphical changes, balancing adjustments, and content additions. I've made as sure to take care that my additions don't cause conflicts with the scenarios, decisions, or events that are a part of MiscMods, but if any conflicts do arise I'll try to address them. Note that any new provinces that I've added - and I've added a bunch - only have history files accurate for the starting scenarios. If you try to start at a later date, there will be some oddities on the map.
With the addition of many new provinces and some overall increases to the tax base and manpower of certain areas, there may be some nations that are significantly stronger than before. I would recommend either playing as, or monitoring the progress of the AI nations in these areas. This includes the areas of Portugal, Aragon, Southern Italy, the entire North African coast, Hungary, Scandinavia, Scotland, Ireland, the Balkans, and Anatolia. The starting position of Toulouse in the Peace of God scenario has been strengthened as well, and probably needs testing. This is all really very much a work-in-progress, so if you spot any errors or have any suggestions, just post about them here or send me a private message.
Features:
- Dozens of new provinces added across Europe, North Africa, and Anatolia
- Additional formable nations
- Additional cultures
- A new look for the map
- Many new new types of trade resources and late-game events which upgrade resources
- Increased tax base and manpower for various areas
- A rebalancing of early-game Miscmods units
- Manufactory bonuses applied to a wider range of resources

5.2 Compatibility Patch for MiscMods Expanded
This patch will fully apply the manpower, slider, and sound toll changes from the EU3 5.2 beta patch to MiscMods Expanded. If you're not using the 5.2 beta patch, you don't need this.

Instructions: Unpack the above archive and drop the contained miscmod folder into your EU3 mod folder. Merge it with the existing miscmod folder already there, and allow it to overwrite any conflicts.

Why not start a new thread, Kerschey?![]()

Ancestor Moth scribe for CK 2: Elder Kings - can you rival Tiber Septim's power?

The Three Certainties of Life (a Byzantine D&T AAR - updated 03.06.12)
well ... I don't like the DAO mapi'll check anyway.

I've considered it, but for now I think I'm just going to stick to this thread.
Also, I've added a small album (http://imgur.com/a/7h2hI#0) of screenshots to the post with the downloads to show what the map looks like, and a few of the province additions.
If you haven't already, you should add some cultural union tags for the native American nations, Kersch. It would give some neat goals for the Native American nations.

Looks/sounds great, Kerschey. I hope it won't take much more than altering the files in the common-folder and adding the added provinces to the AI scripting to make it compatible with my own modmod (unless you've included those changes yourself?).
Eternal Phobia, do you have any suggestions for names for native union-tags? I've used Aztlán (formable by Mesoamericans) and Thousand Nations (formable by North Americans, using the blue field of the 51-state US flag as flag), besides making the Inca a union tag.
You could give the Southeastern U.S. nations a Mississippian unification decision.
Looks nice Kerschey, I look forward to trying your mod when I get more time.![]()

A very small suggestion:
how about a country covering Papal domains in Africa? (in the Peace of God scenario)
I think we really need it.
Culture could be African Romance (wich you could just call African).
Thoroughly enjoying Kerschey's Expanded 1.0.
Playing the Shattered Europe scenario in 5.1 as Sicily, and the Christian world's still reeling as we approach 1650. There isn't a Muslim presence in the HRE yet, but that's about the only place that's untouched.
As for the tax changes and additional provinces, it's definitely helped a lot. The North African countries have each had some time as regional powers, with the Mamluks changing tag to Egypt and being about on par with the Ottomans. It's hard to tell if they're -too- strong despite being so successful because isn't a Castille and Portugal to bully them around. Having allies instead of enemies in Iberia kind of changes their whole mechanic, after all. Maybe someone who's done the vanilla or Peace of God scenarios can share their input, but I'm very happy. Especially with Tunisia, who was a respectable middle power for quite a long time until I ate them. <_<

Will do.
I haven't worked any of your mod into this by default, but just off the top of my head, I can't think of anything you'd need to change beyond adding the new provinces to ai_scripting. Catch up with me in private messages if you want to chat about some technical stuff.
A new state to replace 'Papal Africa'? I think the Peace of God scenario is supposed to diverge from actual history beginning in around the 11th century, so maybe something from the remnants of Norman Sicily?
I'm glad you're enjoying it. One thing that is helping Tunisia and The Mamluks in particular, aside from the extra tax and manpower, is that I'm making them start as despotic monarchies rather than tribal governments. I did admittedly add significantly to some areas, so I am looking for this kind of feedback. I fully expect that I may need to reduce the tax and manpower in some (or most) of the areas that I've worked on. I just wanted to err on the side of adding too much rather than adding too little, because I've played enough games to see how things usually play out.

It includes a formable tag in North Africa called Maghreb, which gives cores on everything from Morocco to Tunis. The territory held in Iberia in this screenshot doesn't have anything to do with forming Maghreb, that was just me having fun. I've got unclaimed cores on the remainder of Tunisia's territory. If you're familiar with the AzeriEU3 mod, it's a nation from there:

I've also added a Turkish nation, formable by ANY of the Turkish states if they own the required provinces, though the most common result by far would probably be the Ottomans doing it. That is, if they ever decided to annex their neighboring Turkish states. It gives cores on the Turkey region:

so far this is the best performance mod (runs smoothly on various pcs for multiplayer) that i enjoy, big thumbs up to the extension![]()
