    So I am using this to help develop my mod which includes creating new regions. I created a new one called Arcadia, and gave it all the provinces on the east coast above virginia. Yet when I reload the scenario editor, it is not a selectable region. Is there a way I could make it so?

    Is it not in the list in the menu, or do you mean you can't select it by going into the regions mode and clicking one of the provinces in it? If the latter, that could be because those provinces are in more than one region. If the former, do you get any errors when loading?

    It is not in the list in the menu, and no, i do not get any errors while loading. I did however use the 64 bit code.

    How is the region defined? Have you tried it in game yet?

    where x is the numbers done properly of all regions in the area.

    I tried to start up the mod but alas, it crashed. I wonder why that could be. I set the map folder to extend the regions.txt, and I only added one new region without localization. I checked for repeat provinces in the region, but there are none. I can't see why it wouldn't work...

    I updated to Java 6 v31 and now I get the following any time I try to open a save game.

    Have you tried increasing the maximum memory as described in the readme? If not, I'd try that and see if it helps.

    Either that worked or my reinstalling of Java fixed it. I should have tried one at a time but I was in a hurry to get it working.

    Still needing this? As far as I can see, AHD registers province history in the same way as EU3 - initial situation, then brackets like this

    1861.1.1 = {

    to define changes.

    OK. My first priority is Magna Mundi (so we can use it to check for problems more easily), then I'll do AHD. Crusader Kings 2 will take quite a bit more doing because its fundamental system is different (titles and dynasties as opposed to countries); right now it loads, but only province histories are usable and almost none of the mapmodes work.

    I found a few other errors in HOI3 but the nifty CMD window told me what they were (missing = in 2 province files). This is obviously a missing } in a province file, my only problem is that I have no idea which one. Can anyone help me with how I can see which file has the error? DebugView doesnt work when trying to figure out my issue.

    The right brace doesn't appear to be causing the error. Look in \map\regions.txt and see if the string "peace" appears anywhere in it. If so, there seems to be a syntax error near it, or else the format of the file has changed since I wrote the parser.

    I looked in the regions.txt, and for some reason, I found this :P

    Not sure how old this post is, did you get this resolved. extend doesn't seem to always work with map editing. Try using replce instead in your .mod file.

    I was thinking if it would be possible edit the provinces themselves like what climate or the size of such provinces. Maybe even adding/deleting.)

    I'll think about it, but climates are already so easy to change I don't know if it's worth it.

    Well, yes, but you can use the editor to get the IDs and then find them in text file.
