I've got some issues with the editor refusing to open some savegames, doesn't even pop up an error message, it just closes down and does nothing, while it opens others just fine. No weird or unusual modding involved, either, it just seems to fold up and give up and refuse to do anything.

I'm having some troubles loading scenarios from mod folders. The editor works fine for vanilla EU3, Vicky2, and HoI3, as well as mods for EU3, but when trying to load mods in either of the other two games, just the vanilla scenario loads up. I noticed in the changelogs that this was an issue that got addressed, but it still seems to be happening.

Since I'm using the demos to test, I haven't been able to try mods with either V2 or HOI3. As far as I know they use the same system, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work.

I use the ScenEd in AHD a lot the only things I notice that don't work are: the continents and culture menus but thats due to a different file layout in the continent.txt and provinces having pops located in separate files the editor doesn't access.

Save Game editing, the countries > X > core works eventually, but the editor will massively error when trying to make heads or tails of the pop data. Not a game breaker since cores are pretty much fixed in established territory.

Since the editor depends heavily on all mods being in the \Mods directory, I'm going to say yes.

Nope, unless you care enough to reinstall the game somewhere outside Program Files (I use C:\Games myself). Otherwise, somebody (probably me) will have to rewrite the mod-handling part of the editor.

I have never used this with a save game so I can't comment on that. Using it to load and edit a mod works well for 5.1 and 5.2.

To use with a mod you have to edit the config.txt and set the correct game version (DW) and mod.

As far as Death and Taxes in particular - I had some problems in that the editor crashed because it did not like something in one or two localization files. I think they were loadingtips.csv and maybe ships.csv if I remember correctly. I think these files had the ending x's in the wrong columns. As a quick work around temporarily remove these two files from the mod then run the editor then when done put them back.

It appears that province 389 does not exist in your save game.

When loading a save, the editor does not know ahead of time how many provinces will be present, so it checks for entries starting at 1 until one does not exist, then stops. This always works with saves created by the games, but apparently whatever converter you used doesn't do things the same way.

If it's just that one province missing, fixing the error should be as easy as adding the line "389 = { }" to your save. But likely there are others - like maybe the whole rest of the world. If so, the easiest thing to do would be to load the game and save it immediately.

I'm trying to use it with a mod for AHD, and I'm having the 'could not find the main class' error. It says something about problems with ProvinceData, with 'Caused by: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException'.

The map data is in the main directory and the rest is in the mod directory (since the game doesn't like map mods), though even with a copy of the map folder in the mod folder it fails identically.

This is a fantastic tool!

One minor bug I've found especially with colonies is that often it shows former colonies as 'Occupied' but not 'Owned' (so with lines rather than solid colour), the problem seems to be that the province's history in the save file doesn't record a date when it comes 'Owned'. Now, the header of the province shows it is owned etc, but because there's no official date sometimes it stays lined rather than full colour.

I can post a screenshot if you want. As I said, minor issue with a fantastic tool.

What is the malformed line it complains about? Although -32 is a bizarre value anyway.
