Another Friday and another weekly community update!

Development news
We wanted to officially let the community know that development on the non-steam version of Magicka has been discontinued. While we remained optimistic for a long time, we have now decided it's the most appropriate way to go based on the following factors:

  1. Continuing development would have meant taking resources from the updating process.
  2. The non steam version had limited multiplayer functionality (no game browser)
  3. Incompatibility between multiplayer of the steam and non-steam version - we don't want to split the player base.

We know this will disappoint some of you but hopefully we’ll be able to get you excited again during the spring as we’ve got lots of fun stuff planned.

Magicka 3rd inofficial PvP tournament:
KreitoR has taken it upon himself to hold another PvP tournament using his inoffical XML modification. We here at the office enjoyed the last two tournaments a lot and if you have an interest in Magicka PvP I suggest you participate in the tournament. There is even a prize of $10 to spend on any steam game you would like, for the winner.
You can find the post about the tournament here: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?526395-3rd-Magicka-PvP-Tournament-10euro-steam-game-has-prize

Good times with Mr. Biscuit:
It was very awesome to meet Total Biscuit and get to work with him. We had a great time and despite the amount of technical issues we had with the live broadcast, we are very happy with how it turned out. If you didnt see it, dont worry, you will be able to find it on www.youtube.com/totalhalibut as soon as TB is done processing the footage.

Here is a picture of us all sitting in our office (remodeled to be some sort of a studio).

We continue to work on your issues and we constantly read the forums for any error reports you might have. Keep posting them and we will do our best to hunt down the problems and find a solution.

May the ASF(space) be with you!
