Whether Switzerland and the SSR have oppressed the minority in their nations, there is no evidence of it.
Whereas we know for sure that the Liberals have oppressed the majority here in Britain - your tax regime for one and supporting the breaking of strikes with armed police. So where are you to judge? The idea that your positions are superior to the SR and Switzerland are laughable, you might not be quite as bad as the NCP and the Germans (and the Iranians and Bulgarians) but you certainly lean in that direction - so why should the Socialists and Labour, who are far less pro-oppression than your party, be taking lessons on liberty from you?
We shall see. Attack can very easily provide us with the details of the political reforms in the SSR. I wouldn't count your chickens just yet.

I made the switch from the NCP to the Liberals when it became apparent that the NCP was edging closer to the abyss. Why haven't you moved to the Labour Party? Could it be that you WANT a dicatorship? That you seek the end of the Republic?
I see no reason to continue this sort of inane babble unless we are willing to recognize that not every poster is our enemy...and not every enemy poster deserves to be disenfranchised or impoverished out of our own spite.

Edit: The personal attacks need to stop. It is all well and good to call attention to objectionable parts of the party platforms...but to extend them to the posters who vote for them is unnessecarily inflammatory...IMO.
I know Rogov has no personal vendetta against members more conservative than himself (we have communicated via PM before on this issue), but I don't know if everyone else knows this.

I would think that most of us are roleplaying -with some margin of degree. After all, this is only a game. To argue, we have the sand box... er... the OT area
I have just come across this AAR and am looking forward to reading more about the excellent performance of The Arch Government.
Quite the argument went on.
I think we can all agree on that both sides of this political spectrum has dire faults that need to be addressed.
Hopefully Attack will give us the proposed details on the SRR, German, and French political reforms after the Revolutionary period.
And I've got to say, it was a minor eye sore seeing Iran and Iranians used constantly instead of Iraq and Iraqis.
I think we can all agree on that both sides of this political spectrum has dire faults that need to be addressed.

Hello everyone I just read my way through the thread and got hooked especially by everyones inter-party bickering and rhetoric. Anyway I would like to throw in my two cents, it seems that reaction have for the most part won the battles for control of Europe, and that in any conflict we will be without any real major allies (If we lost our alliance with Sweden by now not sure). Who else would be better to reach out to our fellow republic in America, and work towards closer relations with them.While yes they have been jerks in the past now that the civil war is over the potential for real reform within the nation is at hand, with our help we can nudge each other to a more mutually beneficial relationship.

Well in my humble opinion, we really have nothing to gain in North America. Let Canada go completely. Let us focus on Europe and Asia, where we can truly succeed.
I consider the issue closed with the above quote. Anyone reacting to this quote, anyone insulting one ideology or another, one party or another will be infracted right away. Anyone insulting or singling out a poster for voting one party or another will be infracted right away. The AAR was going great. Don't ruin it. It might just be the first Interactive AAR to reach the finish.
I am sorry to be over cautious - but is "attacking" (e.g. Socialists are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad) ok? I do not mean insulting, personal attacks or something similiar. But imho some "aggression" is ok to further the roleplay.
"Socialists are bad!" isn't insulting them, so you can say that.
I think the best medicine against all this bickering would be a nice update from Attack!
