We must support the US. This war will undoubtedly end the practice of slavery, which caused Harney to sever our ties (DAMN HIM!), and that alone should be cause. Nevermind the fact that these are the Americans.

Wonderful update. Now one wonders if we should let the Yanks enjoy their own show...

Great update, too bad the French got off easy. We must support the union!

We must not enter into a struggle on the North American continent for now. We must not, under any circumstances however, recognize the Confederacy. Their stance on slavery is abhorrent. I am surprised that Mexico would join in with the Confederacy in that regard. Perhaps we can use our influence to pry Mexico out of the war?

We should give the USA and the CSA the same kind of help that they gave us when we were fighting for our freedom.

Everybody makes mistakes. We can now be the better man and help the Americans, despite their support of the intervention.

Nice, but don't forget to update this...

Exactly they're Americans in the Americas across the atlantic. Think of the cost in money and life for sending men across the atlantic to take part in a conflict we gain nothing from and doesn't concern us.

Better man? the Americans so far have done zilch to aid us and have shown little to no intrest in helping us. Let them battle it out and let the Better man win

You would seek to let the South win? To have slavery continued? To doom an entire continent to decades if not centuries of chaos? For the cost of a few good men? Freedom has no price. FREEDOM IS ETERNAL AND WORTH FIGHTING FOR.

Again, why should we care?

Its across the ocean, beyond the pond. No concern of ours, we have to reestablish ourselves in this new European era and combat the Chinese.

We should care because of the potential damage that might be done to the Atlantic colonies by the chaos caused by an independent South. Many people pushed hard for us to re-include the Atlantic Republic in our nation, whether they wanted to be a part of it or not, therefore should we not defend it with just as much vigour?

We should support the Confederacy to make the US weaker. If the South gets too strong support the North :D

So pretty much support both but give the weakest the most support?

Well considering it does not share a border with either of the warring nations?

I suggest we just war subsidize the South, keep our options open.

Freedom? Like the "freedom" the Socialists in the US enjoyed up until the recent election?
The US is not worth the lives of our citizens. Do not forget that they rebelled and murdered British soldiers less than a hundred years ago. The US is not our friend. Let them rot in their own civil strife.

Must I remind you that the Americans tried to open negotations with us in order to reach some sort of compromise several times, whereas we were the ones who sent soldiers to the Colonies and made Massachusets into a police state? Plus the unfair taxes that were placed on them without any consent whatsoever from them, mostly due to the lack of representation (which we refused to give them when they asked for it, oh by the way).

Not to mention that WE rebelled and murdered British soldiers less than 40 years ago. Quite frankly, your point is rather moot.

Again, its hardly of our concern.
