Conservatives! Hopefully they can couteract the policies of the last 6 years and bring the Republic more towards the middle.

LABOUR - the only party that supports the graduated tax, which is a necessary pillar of any modern industrial civilization that expects to survive. Graduated tax and the 8 hour day.

There are two ideas of government. There are those who believe that, if you will only legislate to make the well-to-do prosperous, their prosperity will leak through on those below. The democratic idea, however, has been that if you legislate to make the masses prosperous, their prosperity will find its way up through every class which rests up on them. - William Jennings Bryan (1896)

    More or less. :P

Someone has got to keep the torries on the move and the BNU away from parliament. No need bringing back a monarch. Actually, with the exception of Franco, didn't most fascist regimes have major problems with their Monarchs?

I am torn, I feel loyalty and agree with the Tories.

But the BNU is tempting, but their ''elected'' monarch has put me off them!

Germany is an ally, NOT A THREAT!

I shall ponder over these policies and cast my ballot later in the election campaign.

I'm happy with the social reforms thus far, and would like to see them extended somewhat. The Conservatives seem to have sobered up a bit, they wouldn't be a disaster right now except for their shameful and hypocritical foreign policy. How any self-respecting Englishman could propose that we act in so duplicitous a manner to our fellows is beyond me. With one hand we support the French against Prussia, whilst with another move to usurp them in India? Move closer to the repressive slavelords of America for the merest possibility of a beneficial relationship? Such policies seem both amoral and naive. A vote for Labour is a vote for humane conditions at home and honorable conduct abroad, all overseen by tried, honorable gentlemen of proven ability. Even if you are wary of Labour, remember that they are moderated by their allies and cannot move too far or too fast lest they lose support. They are no threat to our institutions, unless the institutions are flawed, in which case peaceful and democratic reform will see them corrected, not violence or coercion like some have feared.

I would prefer coalition liberals, but if you are going to buy something, buy it and not the copy.
If they changed their foreign policy, maybe I would change my mind.
About BNU, I agree at all with them, but I don´t think they can win an election so I won´t vote them. But if you could explain me the coalition´s system that you follow, maybe I would think it twice

The BNU and Tories would get us nowhere except probably into more wars-- both from outside and within.

The BNU are opposed in every way to socialism, they will never form a coalition with Labour.

Freedom without socialism is the freedom only of the rich, not of all mankind. And other phrases and stuff that sound good.

What I say is that I would vote for them, not for a coalition of both.
And the main differences between them now are Ireland (whre I disagree with BNU) and taxes (which is the less important subject for me voting)
