STEAM version of AoD ?
Find the Arsenal of Democracy folder inside your Steam folder, then open the scenarios subfolder. Create a new subfolder named "save games" inside the scenarios folder.

Thanks for the quick response.

I downloaded from Gamersgate. The save games folder is in the scenarios folder where it should be.

Im kind of stumped.

Then its propably Vista / Win7 virtualization or windows UAC issue.

2 step check:
1) try starting as administrator
2) install the game in another folder than under C:\Program files\

This should solve it.

Mind you, we did have save game issues with 1.05 using moddir in C.O.R.E., which are solved in the controlled 1.06 Beta release.
