Well, I know that Britain is appart about public things compared to the rest of Europe.
And well, CiM is about public transport, and no city would allow a company to be in competition with the public company. And having 2 public company is stupid.

Imo, as soon as one company reach the metro, all others are lost... even trams would be crazy. No city would allow 2 lines to make almost the same route with rail on 2 different roads.


On a side way, I admit it could be fun to play against a player (but not the computer).

There is a way to play CiM multiplayer - to swap save-games. Each player plays for five years, then passes the save-game to the next player on the list. It would be organised per-game on a forum thread. Like (warning: bad language) the legendary Boatmurdered, which was a Dwarf Fortress game played by people on the Something Awful forums.
