wishlist:
1 Stock markets/ investment firms and banks
2. "congress system" there could be like an "infamy" scale for the great powers as a whole and when it gets very high as in there is a very high collective belligerence, a great power can call a congress and there can be certain division of territory or redrawing of spheres of influence.
3. revised central banking or a monetary policy idea==>just as there are economic policies for each party, there would be monetary policies that dictate the powers of the central bank when the party is in charge. so say the whigs are in charge in america, there would be a strong central bank. granted this requires a rethinking of the central bank model. WORKING BOND MARKET WOULD BE AWESOME

Bond market would I agree be excellent. I have no idea how a stock market would work though, there are no companies in game currently and that can make things really really complicated. Technically there is a kind of stock market in capi investment already.

Addition: National events such as crop failures/disasters or boosts. For example: cold summer or drought = -25% wheat production etc. This would add interesting and realistic volatility to the market and increase the need for liquid capital in the form of loans.

This. All of this.

Plus better rebellions. I would much prefer fewer but much smarter rebellions.

rebellions would be smarter if there were more things for them to rebel into. so im stressing the atleast one TAG for every culture group and nationalist rebels being able to place Cores.

1) The place where I live is my problem, not yours.

2) Your knowledge of the local laws is at best weak; and the post you just commited is enought to land you a convocation in Court for a Lese majestee.

3) As you certainly know(it seems you have an extended knowledge of the law), if such thing happend, the Court of Law will not discuss about said post (it is forbidden because it might or might not be indeed lese majestee) but elements related non directly to said post : if playing country XYZ you shall every time get that kind of situation ... Assuming be Law the Head of State of country XYZ is also responsible for eveything (and own everything) so it would mean the Head of State is reponsible for the corruption generated by the crats. And so that is a successful case of Lese Majestee, you got 2 years in the Glass House before to get a Royal pardon , and send back to your country (without any of the possessions you may have before). So watch your mouth, and start to behave .

4) If I take such precaution, while the place where I live is obvious, it is because a global ban issued against the forum is well possible.

5) Instead of trying to be smart ass and show your supposed intelligence (Hurrah you do know Phuket is not a city of Colorado!; congrats) you should better to keep your comments on the subject at hand : It is realistic to have under some rotten or bad player decisions a huge amount of crats that does not stop to grow out of proportion. I took a real life exemple, I should have taken the old Soviet Union

6) Thanks for your PM, but I would be more than glad if you do not send me another one.

Also, do not do this in public, it has nothing to do with this thread.

1) Historical kingdoms in Africa
2) The Mod folder fixed if a patch haven't fixed it already
3) The broken rebel system fixed if a patch haven't fixed it already
4) More war goals and more peace options. Communists should be able to spread their ideology, while other regimes should be able to depose Communist or Fascist regimes.
5) Left Wing Anarchist as an own ideology
6) Espionage and ability to support revolutions abroad or give a helping hand to the government trying to beat the rebels.
7) Overhaul of the assimilation/ migration system. Austria always make their whole empire German by 1860.

4) More war goals and more peace options. Communists should be able to spread their ideology, while other regimes should be able to depose Communist or Fascist regimes.
.

4) and republican regimes, as the VIP starting event for russia tells us, governments were on the watch for revolutionary regemies after the napoleon troubles and were prepared to jump on any revolutions to restore monarchs and maintain the status quo.
Maybe just any regime different than your own, including other same government types that have different ideology parties in power.

1- a-rebels with opposite ideologies fighting each other
b-rebels (militias) sharing the same ideology with the state trying to save the regime against the opposing rebels if they have enough organization and number
[yes this quote uses time travel]

Thats brilliant, loyalists rising to fight rebels! and by being rebels would who supported the government wouldn't siege government controlled provinces only rebel ones and would dissipate as soon as the rebels were crushed! With that the Austrian Civil War would be one step closer and all societal collapses would be alot more enjoyable. and hey, Kiel can happen too, You have a communist revolution, fascists and reactionaries rise not against you but against the communists then they turn against the government so the socialists rise to fight them!
possibilities of possibilities, thats awesome

2- adding transportation costs to goods. there can be a simple formula to calculate the costs:
cost = (number of provinces it is carried) x (transport cost per province) / (infrastructure level)
but, since goods are purchased from a global pool (so we dont know actually form which country we buy them), ship freight costs cannot be implemented, so the only factor of calculation is the province's (or state's) distance to the nearest coastal city.
for example, if we import iron for our steel factory which is in münich, we cannot know where it comes from, so we will assume that it will be transported to a coastal city (let's say kiel) by ghost ships (with no cost or a fixed cost) and then the cost calculation will be done by the number of provinces from kiel to münich.
if we buy iron from our domestic market (like breslau), number of provinces from breslau to münich will be considered
so, there will be a reason to prefer some provinces than others to put factories. also, you will want to conquer states for their resources because it will be more profitable to construct factories there.

3-the money supply must be lowered dramatically (or inflation should be implemented but it is impossible imho). it is so enormous that after a few weeks you will never see a deficit. money difficulties will make my second opinion above more important and it will also force you take action to get a bigger share in the world market.

4-capitalists tendency to infrastructure investment sholud be decreased dramatically. It is not plausible for them to construct high end railway system to libyan desert where only a few thousand lives. it also makes the game too easy

5-army upkeep should be increased. this way astronomically big armies will not exist and military industry will be profitable

that's all i have in my mind for now :D

Transportation cost would be great!
However, transportation cost would make the game lag a lot because your factories must now calculate the distances of each resource to pay for the transportation. Also nearby factories will compete each other at the price of the resource and this would add more calculations for every factory and every possible different route (or source of raw materials) For example washington lumber factory will ask for wood from unintustrilized brazil while they can buy it from canada. The price of wood from canad will be higher because there will be more factories there. How 1 pc will make all the calculations that in real life demand so many economists and capitalists and many pcs that each company has today? (supply-demand of resource including the transportation costs)
Also you said that kiel (and danzig) will take transportation-cost-free all resources from other coastal provinces. So...kiel will prefer wood from brazil or indochina rather than poland or germany. This could work only if the fixed cost was very high but still the game would lag.

it would be nice to be able to add/remove accepted cultures. I'm tired of the Swedish taking over Finland. Also Native American populations disappear way to quickly.

WWI - either an event or a decision that can trigger something leading up to it. It does not have to be a fixed event but I am sure there is something that can be introduced.

Add anti-imperialist rebel type. If they win, the country loses all foreign influence on it, an becomes isolationist for 360 days. Add the ability for their SOI leader or other power to intervene to help rebels or fight them.

I like that. As it is, only the specially written Boxer rebel types even come close. It would also be cool if "isolationist" was actually a government policy (like another option for trade policy or minority policy).

I merely have a simple request, though this could also be addressed in a patch. It's been brought up before, though I don't believe it has been answered (At least not to my knowledge). And this is to make "Residency", "Limited Citizenship" and "Full Citizenship" political reform instead of Party Policy.

I wish that capitalists work different. If you play Austria and you keep interventionalist in economy, you get no industry in the first years because the capitalists haven´t enough money to build industry. But Austria makes a big surplus every day. It should be possible that Austria gives some money to a bank and the bank gives the money to the capitalists.

And I don´t understand why capitalits get the money from industry that was build by an state capitalist nation.

New wargoal: If war is declared upon you (this could be with or without CB), you can demand reperations for their war against you. It cost warscore but no BB. So people dont exploit it, the best way to do it would be for the losing aggressor to pay a % of their income after the war for each day they were at war with you before they offered you a white peace. This would prevent people prolonging wars just to get lots of cash etc. Basically they attack you, you win the struggle (in general) and they go: O crap, wrong person sorry about that :p, want a white peace? You could then demand reperations for their aggression, if they agree or if you get enough score to make them surrender like said they would pay you back some reperation $ which would not increase your BB rating and therefor be a more "fair" revenge on the transgressor. Originally I thought that they would pay you a % of your added expenditure etc, but that can be exploited so I believe the above is the best system.

To all the people suggesting being able to support rebels in foreign states or other such involvement in the internal politics of another state: while historical to a degree for certain types of governments or countries, the most famous example being Soviet Russia, the developers have stated quite early on that they made a design decision to exclude this option from the player because of various reasons.

I am unaware if they plan to revisit this decision for an expansion or not.

For either an ambitious patch or expansion, I would suggest:
  • Moving the innovations made in the EU3 franchise since Victoria II's release, such as 'competing' rebels, into the game.
  • Look at adding depth to the experience of play for 'extremist' government-types, such as communist and fascists, and adding options to more mundane nations to combat them.
  • Balance the nations overall, this issue has been well-covered by now so I will leave that there.
  • 'Regional' markets has been covered; I would also like for distance and other factors to limit the availability of goods to short-handed nations, perhaps even having the option to pay a raised price to get it. It would also add a realistic economic concern to the game, for instance having a non-sphered Sweden may be a bigger deal to a Prussia short of coal or steel compared to the Prussia now that can just as easily import those goods from places like Madagascar with absolutely no extra cost or risk.
  • Tweak the rebel system so that they are more rare, more dangerous, and crucially have causes and goals understandable to the player.
  • Addition of general depth, perhaps finding out some of the more common releasable nations played and adding some unique events or decisions to them.
  • Small suggestion, look at adding a vanilla event that moves the Ottomans' capital to Ankara if it has no European holdings; both to add an increased security to a emerging Turkey within the husk of a collapsing Ottoman Empire, and to allow Greek players to form the Byzantine Empire without having to rend apart the Ottomans. Modders have already done this.
  • Make it possible to subsidise only military goods, this is a big one for me as any industrialised nation.
