When is it a good time to use light infantry such as jagers and pandours? Do they affect the outcome of a battle if used in a large army?
Depends if they have the skirmisher ability, that can bolster a bit regular infantry. Otherwise some vets players use them on the rear of the enemy, to cut supply lines (put them in evade order). Alternatively, if they have a good detection rating, one in a stack can do good. Or as forward picket, in passive in a bad terrain... Multiple usages.
