What about Rhodes? When can local Rhodian proletariat expect freedom to come?

Eagerly awaiting the redrawing of Europe!

You'll conquest the whole world? MADNESS!

I can't believe it's been a year already, I can't imagine what'll happen when this AAR ends. It'll probably be the last time I check this forums since your AAR is the only thing that keeps me here.

@Deus Eversor - I hope you're gonna like my Yugoslavia. Spoilers!

@4th Dimension - Unfortunately, comrade, we still don't have the necessary navy to challenge the capitalists reactionary scums. The Tsarists have left us quite a lovely navy and the endless wars against the ruling class everywhere have left a small portion of attention to the small but brave Red sailors. Also, the head of the Red Guards NKGB refused to have an airbourne operation in the island for there is too much risk, considering they do not have naval support. As much as I want to oppose him, I don't want to wastefully sacrifice our glorious worker and peasant liberators!

But do not be dismay, comrade, Rhodes will be liberated soon enough with our currently constructing transports.

@Nikolai - it'll be a monumental event for it will open the door of the new age for the European Proletariat! Norwegians, Swedish and Finnish people are jumping in excitement for they are next to be freed!

@Sumeragi - Billy who? :p

@Morlak - Thanks! Really appreciate it.

Tests and a presentation (I hate presentations) looms above me, but I'll try to make an update this week.

@Sumeragi - don't even count on it. The proletarians want blood! :p

New Age Europa

The Grand Meeting of Schweinfurt was nothing compare to the Berlin Conference that is occurring tonight. The usual participating countries represented by their chairman are present but with the addition of the Socialists groups from the occupied lands.

The easy subjects such as Greece and Italy were solved immediately with much discussion but the first obstacle in the road was found regarding the North. The British delegations have switch their stance from the status quo of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark; to the Soviet idea of a unified Scandinavia, however, they remain quiet about the Soviet idea of putting Finland to the RSFSR.

The already cracking pillars of the Workers and Peasants' Socialists Liberation Front have finally crumbled when the most important one in the meeting and the most heated one, in fact, have graced into the table of the statesmen. What to do with Germany?

The Syndicalists, leaded by France, push for the destruction of the German nation. “A huge mistake in history” as the French chairman have said. They propose to divide the 93 year old country into four pieces. The Rhine in the West, Bavaria in the South, North Germany in the North, and Prussia in the East. The Soviets, however, disagree completely. The German nation MUST stay and it will be under the worker's control. The statement won the hearts of the SPD (Social-Democratic Party of Germany), including the pro-Syndie faction, Spartakusbun. Another huge blow was delivered to the French when Chairman Mosley sided with the Bolsheviks.

By that time, the French delegation walked out; CNT-FAI, Brazil, Bharitya Commune, and South Italy walked out later on. The last unspoken message from them was: The Socialists Front, the military arm of the Internationale, is over.

The walk out of the Syndicalists from the conference gave the Soviets all the freedom they can to reshaped Europe. Greece will owning the Aegean sea and will put the capital on Constantinople, not on Athens.

The Romanians ceded Bessarabia to the Russians, gained during the chaos of the First Russian Revolution, however, they received Constanta from the Bulgarians and the western lands from the Hungarians.

The complete independence from the Hapsburgs have electrified the South Slavs of the idea of self-rule and idea of Yugoslavism. The SOVNARKOM was more than happy to set up a federation consists of Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia, and Bulgaria. The capital of the new nation was located in Osijek.

Albania was reduced back to its original state, giving Skopje to Yugoslavia.

In Central Europe, the Austria-Hungary giant is finally gone since the only reason for it to exists is because of the monarchy. Austria and Hungary are now separate and independent from each other. Slovakia was detached from Hungary, now independent, and the Transylvania region was given to Romania. Bohemia was also granted independence from Austria. A controversial decision was made when Trent and Venice was given to Austria, not to South Italy as promised.

Finally, the Soviet Federative Republic of Germany was establish as the successor. The SPD quickly disbanded and fracture into three parties: The original SPD (Social-Democrats), the Spartakusbund (Syndicalists), and the Marxist-Leninists (Bolsheviks). The third won with a landslide. The new government made claims on the French-held Germany.

[Basically, I just morph the North German Confederation into a full Germany since I can't find one in the list]

Along with Germany. All nations went up and vote and put the Bolsheviks to lead their nation to prosperity. The rest was annexed to the RSFSR. Galicia, Poland and East Prussia but were given some degree of autonomy due to its federal nature.

neweuropemap.png

The last act of the Berlin Conference, and the most significant, was put into the table. The Soviet nations would all have a vote: To leave the Internationale or not.

----------------------

The French established the Commune of the Rhine [heh], never declared it as the successor state, and declared the SFRG as an invalid state. They have also created the Commune of Flanders-Wallonia, modelled it similarly to its predecessor. Both states have autonomy on issue like taxation and budget.

4 days, they celebrated the victories with the celebration of the Bastille day. They set their eyes now on North Italy and the Reactionary Spanish.

---------------------

13th of July 1941. Moscow, RSFSR.

“I am not just Friedrich. I am Kaiser Wilhelm, second of his name, German Emperor and King of Prussia!”

The supreme judge sighed “Friedrich Wilhelm Viktor Albrecht von PreuBen.” The judge was disrupted during the last time so he was to repeat the defendant's long name again. “You are guilty of crimes against the Motherland and the Proletariat. Of all the suffering that you have caused. Justice will be served.”

The giant room of the Supreme Court thundered with applause with the most hated Reactionary in Russia and in every heart of the Proletarians. He was the last to be sentenced. The Hapsburgs came before him, now all staring at him with doom in their faces.

--------------------

The noose are all set. All the ministers from Bulgaria, Albania, Hungary, and Austria. Otto I, the Austrian Emperor, and the Empress, and the heir, and their adult children. The younger Hapsburg children were taken by social service to be raised in state nunneries. Finally, Wilhelm II was fitted with the rope necklace.

“Made and bought in Germany, Your Highness.” an NKVD chuckled and tapped the snake of death that's wrapped around the Emperor of Germany.

The place was already set. The papers were here for a long time with their notepad and their cameras and their boredom. Another crew was there with that weird looking, bulky contraption. It's for the television they said. The Red Square was packed with thousands of people all eager to see the once in a lifetime event. A historic moment that is unforgettable.

The NKVD officer after checking their nooses, raised his hand to his breast and checked his watch. He repeated the sentence bestowed to the criminals. All have the same sentence fortunately so he can just say it once. The clock is ticking. The time of execution is near. 3... 2... 1... boom! The floor opened and the gravity pulled them into the hard earth except that the hands of death pulls them from touching the ground that their feet, by instinct, desperately sought after. With death's squeeze, life was slowly sucked away until there is no more.

The day stood still. There was nothing but silence.

The day was the 13th of July 1941. The day when the reactionary tyrants died under Proletariat’s justice. The people slept in their beds in peace.

------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is this? The Soviets leaving the Internationale?! And both sides are now rushing to liberate as many lands as possible.

Damn man... Coulda just left Wilhelm II and Otto I to suffer alone in exile. There's gonna be some reactionary backlash for this, you know dat, right?

OH SO JUICY
Me likes! :p

(plox make austria join german reich, plox plox plox plox plox)

but nonetheless i likes ^^

oh and i see there is still italian reactionary state, make them your puppet, a final bitchslap to french :D
and about western germany... i dont think france with its stance would liberate it... i think they would keep it and undergo frenchization, who accepts french can stay, who wants exile can leave to soviet germany... ubt it would be suitable for them to eventually annex both of them and get cores, western eruopean union of sorts :p

I saw an error on the election in the SFRG. I meant that "the third" party (M-L party) won the election, not "the three" of them. Fixing it.

(plox make austria join german reich, plox plox plox plox plox)
Like all request, I'll consider that. But Bohemia looks like a more likely candidate.

The French never intended it to be "West Germany", it's simply a country called "Rhine", not the successor of Germany. I was thinking about whether releasing the Commune of the Rhine or not but I end up releasing them anyway as a buffer zone.

i don't think it makes much sense ITTL. if anything bohemia could be joined with austria, but then slovakia should be joined with hungary.
but actually i think that since you went with greater yugoslavia it'd make sense to create czechoslovakia.

Funny, Czechoslovakia going to be in the later updates.

Capital of Yugoslavia is Osjek?!?!
I only have basic knowledge of Yugoslavian history but that surprised me as well but the game files said so, the capital is in Osjek.

@Dues Eversor - Like I said, one time, there will be a USSR, how it looks like, that's for me to know. But I'm afraid the USSR will be in the part 2 of the AAR.

@Morlak - Sorry. Can't do anything about it. :p

“For so long now, us, workers, have to work, producing the entire war machine and effort. What do they give back? The goods we receive back are minimum! Enough not to starve us to death but not enough to improve the interest of the Working Class! I am starting to be afraid that our workers' paradise is becoming into a slave nation. End the war economy NOW!"
- Trade Union Spokesman

War in the North

After the war in Europe, except for the North, the budget was changed dramatically. All production was halted, except for the 'Upgrades', 'Supplies', and 'Repairs' production. The workforce was diverted from the war and into domestic purposes. Consumer goods, infrastructure, education, housing etc etc, was put into focus. The Second Great War have put too much strain to the population and are exhausted. Almost half of the population are in dissent, a scale unseen since Wrangel's oppressive regime. The aftermath of the Berlin Conference have put optimism into the workers and several trade unions and cooperatives have voiced their opinion to end the almost 6 years of war economy.

Operation Frozen Mallet begins with the crossing of the Sound to Malmo. Most of the Swedish forces were destroyed in Germany and only a token amount was left in their home ground. Only 8 divisions were free to be sent to Malmo and the rest have to stay back and guard the coastlines.

battle71.png

To the Swedes' bad judgement, the Soviets have prepared thousands of landing craft on the ports for all the Swedes to see. However, they have no plans to use them, aside from the ones in Copenhagen. Frozen Mallet was simply to make a breakthrough through Malmo and spread out throughout Southern Sweden and all the way to Oslo, Falun, and Stockholm.

opfrozenmallet.png

Operation Frozen Mallet

The gigantic Soviet army now stepped in the North and started its rage through the lands. Goteborg was the next place to be attacked with only a hastily made militia and the crack marines defending the port city. The militia melted immediately at the sight and barrage of Red armour, with no adequate anti-tank equipments. The well-trained marines hold their ground, with their anti-air as ad-hoc AT weapons, but still no match against the overwhelming armour.

battle72.png

The advance continues with a meagre force between the Red Army and Stockholm, and the 8 division army from Malmo, the bulk of the defending forces, made a trek to Karlskrona, then to Kalmar, and into the island of Oland, being push away every time. The commanders expected no serious opposition from now on.

Karlstad was captured after beating the Marines defending the city, an armour division drives for Falun, and the battle for Oslo and Stockholm.

frontline53.png

The first battle of Stockholm was a failure and the Soviets encircled the city to add an advantage to their side but the Finnish crossed the gulf through Aland and channel supplies and men, negating the Soviet advantage. Nonetheless, the Soviets attacked again resulting in a defeat.

battle76.png

Stockholm was attacked again, in July 28. Third time is a charm as the Red Army are victorious this time.

battle77.png

The 8 division army who made a trek all the way to Oland have found themselves under bombardment from the Soviet navy. Despite having all their capital ships sunk, the navy still have the firepower. The exhausted and ill-supplied army surrendered when Red troops cross the Kalmar strait.

swedesur.png

With Frozen Mallet's objectives all done, the Soviet command started Operation Fluency, to capture all major naval ports and airports.

frontline55.png

Operation Fluency

In August 22, a major uprising flared by the Reactionaries. The rebellion in the north was quickly crushed, and the bigger one in the south will have their turn soon. By the 25th of August 1941, Sweden was effectively neutralised. The Soviet troops and armour will march and roll into Finland soon.

frontline57.png

------------------------

Persia, annexed years ago, was turned into the Persian Autonomous Oblast. Although, it wasn't part of the motherland [no cores] it was now part of RSFSR, however, they were given almost all domestic control. With this, Sovnarkom have upgraded the port of Bandar to become the current main Soviet naval base in Asia. The upgrade continues.

bandarport.png

New innovation in military thinking as Vasilevsky introduced “Pocket Defence” which was used in the liberation of Sweden, and Grabin Design Bureau for making night strafing more effective. The Soviet Navy's modernisation effort shows fruit with a new heavy cruiser class and a new aircraft carrying heavy cruiser (or aircraft cruiser, for short). New fighter models for the Air Force and the new secret Turbojet engine was presented after months of experimentation, which greatly differs to the diesel engine that is in mainstream use today. How they use that new engine is another question that they have to solve.

soviettech1941sept.png

------------------------

The Red Guards dropped into the rural region of Kola in August 26 to liberate Murmansk back. The whole operation was a disaster as the extremely rough terrain, lack of supplies, the difficulty to resupply, and several delays have made it impossible for the Red Guards to reach the city before the deadline.

frontline58.png

Regardless, Operation Magnum went to full speed, with the city of Oulu as the first target. The objectives were all cities with major ports.

opmagnum.png

Operation Magnum

Another huge mass for the Red Army is in Leningrad and attacked Viipuri and by the 7th of September 1941, Viipuri is captured and the armour from the north have reached Tampere and assisted on assaulting the capital.

battle80.png

----------------------

In September 15, the remaining rebellion in Sweden was crushed and the establishment of the Soviet Republic of Scandinavia was become official. A 418 year old dead-union was resurrected and the Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish Proletarians rejoiced in the streets. Britain was the second one to recognise the new nation and stated that “Britain shall have the prosperous relationship with Scandinavia as she had with Norway previously”. Scandinavia became the last member of the Soviet Union of the “Revolutionary Decade”.

scandinaviamap.png

--------------------

Most of Finland Proper was under Soviet control now, the opposition still doesn't want to surrender as the port of Murmansk is still free. The lifeline that keeps Finland alive after the captured of the Orsund.

frontline61.png

11 days later, Murmansk was captured. The entire army in Karelia are surrounded. The next day, September 27, Finland surrendered. The proletarians, however, weren't pleased to be liberated for some reason.

frontline63.png

------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

What? I see a Soviet Union! What is the Revolutionary Decade? They will be revealed soon.

I'll try to finish another one tonight so that I can post it tomorrow and the AAR (Part 1) will be finished.
