In the 4th of June, the Soviet Baltic Fleet have met their greatest test for survival so far. It was sunset at the port of Konigsberg when the alarms rang and the Red soldiers and sailors hurried to their stations as the Kaiser's birds are swooping down to launch their bombs, bidding to sink the battle fleet sleeping on the port. The two antique battleships, Marat and October Revolution, were the top priority targets by the German naval bombers. Fighting went on until darkness falls with the Germans received casualties for about a fifth of its force. On the Soviet side, the battleship Marat exploded when a bomb hit its armament storage, the October Revolution was in critical status and some of its light cruisers and destroyers were lightly damage.
The Baltic Fleet left the port a few hours later to Riga, trying to escape the range of the planes travelling from Germany and Finland. When dawn arrived the next day, the fleet never got the chance to escape unharmed. A German fleet was spotted closing to them. What they saw was a battle fleet consists of a carrier, three battleships, three battle cruisers and three heavy cruisers with their escorts. Although many of them are as old as the Soviet battleships, the thought of fighting them toe-to-toe is suicide. The German navy opened fire before noon sinking the battleship October Revolution and several destroyers; damaging several heavy/light cruisers and destroyers before they could escape and head off to Riga.
The Grand Admiral of the Fleet have complained to Bukharin that the Soviets need a modern navy but due to the alarming size of the army, and limited funds, no naval build up will happened for quite a while.

After pommelling the line for days, on the 8th of June, the brave Red Army finally charged into the fortified trench line stretching from the Gulf of Finland to the Lake Lagoda. The main Red Army attack was supported by a corps from the eastern side. The enemy were soon dislodged out of their trenches and the Finnish general ordered the retreat. This became a decisive breakthrough that will clear the way onto Helsinki.
A small Red Army were thrown out of Danzig at the 11th. The forces have no choice but to retreat. As a retaliation, an attack was made in the south of Danzig to gain some ground after the defeat up north and another advance was made further south to surround Radom. It's the 13th of June, the German defences starts to toughen up after re-enforcements arrived. The hope of capturing Berlin this month faded on some of the generals.

On the 13th of June, a news have spread that brought shock to the Internationale. The Mitteleuropa, the Entente and the Catholic Alliance have officially merged themselves into a giant alliance with its aim is to defeat the Socialist Front and once and for all, annihilate the Red states.
Back in Rome just after the breaking news, the pope have announce throughout the world the start of a new Crusade. Obviously have knowledge about the super alliance. He urge to every Christians, not just Catholics, in the Socialist countries to “rise up against their atheist, Satanists masters”.
Pope Pius XI is the 259th reigning pope of the Roman Catholic Church and he was installed as the President of the Italian Federation by Mitteleuropa as a puppet however, the pope began his spread of power into the federation with the birth of a doctrine, "Pax Christi in regno Christi" ("the peace of Christ in the reign of Christ") where Catholicism would cover every aspect of life. Historians and political scientists called this as "Christian Corporatism".
The news of the super alliance reached the ears of Kremlin and ordered an emergency meeting at the evening.

Some of the commissars groaned and sighed at development, especially Lt. General Proskurov, head of GRU. Germany for weeks have rigorously been talking to a large numbers of non-Socialist states convincing them to take arms with her. To be fair on the general, the GRU was not large and regionally limited. With that, they cannot deeply penetrate Germany's diplomatic channels. They did receive hints from time to time but not enough to confirm a giant recruitment drive worldwide and the creation of the Grand Coalition.
The speaker continued “The Peru-Bolivian Confederation declared war on the Brazilians with their claims in the Amazon and so is La Plata stating that 'they will regaining their lost lands and honour' from the previous war. Sweden and Denmark went to arms against the Norwegians. Delhi, a member of the Entente, and Siam have declared war against the Bharitya Commune [Bengal] and Burma. All aggressors have pledge their support on the Grand Coalition under the leadership of Germany while all targeted Socialist countries with CNT-FAI are now being included in the 'Workers and Peasants' Socialist Liberation Front' by the Communards.”
“I don't see how this is alarming to us. We are already at war with the Entente and Mitteleuropa. In fact, it is quite beneficial with the entry of the Catholic Alliance and the other German pawns.” the Russian Chairman grinned “These new arrivals are far off in the west. They'll cause more damage to the Syndicalists than they will to us. What about the Yanks?”
“There is no official statement regarding the Grand Coalition, comrade. The only contribution they've made was to send expeditionary troops under the Canadian flag 2 weeks ago.”
“That's because they are busy against the Californians and the Hawaiians.” One of the commissars stated. “Once the they are done with that, no doubt, they will join. The military tyrant is not to be taken as a pacifist that easily.”
“What other Red countries remains untouched?” asked by the chairman.
Molotov took the question “Comrade Bukharin, Mexico and Centroamerica due to their geographical location and USA's being busy on reclaiming their lands. However, the smaller Socialist country is not sitting still. Sensing that it was the right time to strike, Centroamerica have declared war on Honduras with the claim of liberating the workers from Honduras to the borders of Colombia. It is their destiny to create a modern day USCA, they claimed. Mexico was asked to help their little neighbour but they refused. Spoiling the relations between the two.”
“These two won't survive once the Americans are done with their unification.”
“My thoughts exactly, comrade chairman.” Molotov simply echoed the chairman's sentiments.
The meeting went on as usual, tackling the other agendas. It went on for almost 25 minutes in a monotonous bureaucratic tone when a young chap was half-running with a folder on his hand clutching it tightly. He requested to enter and with the permission given, he went towards Bukharin and handed the folder to him. The room went silent as the chairman reads its contents. His face went white and his eyes widened. The room was half-excited and half-horrified on what he has to say. He gently threw the folder on to the long table for all the council to see and he said:
“The Japanese government was toppled by a coup d'etat.”
