The Double Nineteen Plot
Moscow. 7th of November 1938
“Lieutenant General Konev have captured Tsaritsyn, which he renamed as 'Bukharingrad'.”
The chairman chuckled.
“With that, the Cossacks are now sliced into half. The forces on the North won't be a threat anymore.” People's Commissar Tukhachevsky giving out the news from the front while waving and point this hand on the map. “And the enemy elements on the South are being pushed out as we advance to our objectives. Here in Grozny, Bashanta and Novorossisk.”
“Well done!” he said with a smile. “Bukharingrad. I like the sound of that! Tsaritsyn sounds too imperial.”
“I'll give the rest to comrade Proskurov and Uritskiy.”
The People's Commissar stepped back and nodded to the GRU Director “Comrade chairman, more reports from my officers and their agents to comfirm that several prominent Ukrainian Socialists are definitely in Tblisi.” handing over a few papers to the chairman
“This is unacceptable, comrade. Georgia is not suppose to intervene in this matter especially that France and Britain strictly orders the entire Internationale not to.”
Tblisi. Capital city of the Democratic Republic of Georgia
“And...” People's Commissar Uritskiy placed the briefcase on the table and opened it “...we have found something else.”

Moscow. 21st of September 1938.
It was night time in Moscow. The Soviet Commissar opened the door in his home. He exhaled from exhaustion and pull his coat away. He was alone as his wife went off to her night shift in the local hospital. He went to his study, turned his phonograph on and filled his glass with vodka. It was a normal night after work. The commissar sat down, all he wanted was to relax and waste this night away. Then suddenly, the front and the back doors were kicked open, ruining the environment. He stood up to confront the intruders but what he saw were soldiers. He looked at their uniform as they shouted at him. Internal Troops of the NKGB. He raised his hands as they order him to. He was busted. The CO went in the room and declared his arrest. He was arrested for corruption as he was caught taking funds that was suppose to be used to buy resources for a weapons factory. After he was taken away, the troops looted the whole place for information. They found more evidences for his crime and evidences for even more crimes! As they dug further in the house, one of them found a old box, not too big neither too small, sitting in the storeroom. The box wasn't special at all but since curiosity killed the cat, he opened the box by smashing the lock that protects it and found a batch of folders. The folders too were uninteresting like the box and were heavily stained by the time. As he doesn't have the time to slack, the soldier picked the top folder, opened it and skimmed through the paper at the front. He blinked twice and re-read from the top. He found more evidence of corruption. But the NKGB troop paused. “Babel” he said.
Another set of papers of him committing embezzlement but the NKGB soon find out that it was just the tip of the iceberg.
-------------------
“And we have found something else.” said the NKGB's People's Commissar.
A train of vehicles have stopped outside the People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs.
Uritskiy pulled out folders out of the briefcase. “We have found some disturbing materials.”
Another train of vehicles stopped outside of a residential home.
The chairman was listening attentively while reading the materials being handed to him “...this thing is very old. It was two decades ago. Yes,
that war.”
Another convoy drove towards a military base.
“During the 2nd Proletarian Revolution, as we all know, the Father of the Socialist Revolution, comrade Lenin, was in charge...”
“Papers?” the sentry asked. Then he saw the papers were stamped by Tukhachevsky and Uritskiy themselves, he then let the convoy in.
“...we were winning at first then the Germans intervene...”
The squads stormed the residential house and arrested their target.
“...before the German's entry into the war, there is this conspiracy.”
“Order all troops in this base to be disarmed. Go and arrest our targets ASAP.”
“Conspiracy?” Bukharin was very curious
The NKGB troops stormed the Foreign Affairs building “People's Commissar Litvinov, you are under arrest for conspiracy and crimes against Socialism and the Motherland!”
“My troops have found old documents in the Armament Commissar's house during the night of September 21st. These documents are records of funds that were embezzled to be used in this plot called 'Operation Babel'. For days and weeks we were scouring Russia for more clues on 'Babel'. More pieces of the puzzle came up and more people were involved in 'Babel' including the likes of comrade Kalinin. At first, we thought it was just a scheme of a more organised crime of stealing money from projects they are assigned too...”
Litvinov was taken to the NKGB vehicle with his hands cuffed.
“...but it was actually more than that! The embezzling was just a part of it. The money will be used as fuel for this bigger plot...”
Hundred of military officers and commissars were arrested by the People's Commissariat for State Security throughout Russia. All have the same charges.
“...we found more materials where loyalties were bought. Networks being established.” the Commissar relentlessly continues “We checked our achieves just to be sure, we discover more materials with 'Babel' on it. We soon find out that 'Babel' is a plot originating from 1919. At first we thought it was a failed plot by the Whites to shake the Soviet leadership but after all these pieces of the puzzle join together. It was actually a plot where a secret circle headed by Iosif “Stalin” Dzhugashvili would they try to silently overthrow the Lenin leadership and put himself at the helm.”
“When you say 'silently' you mean, they will make Lenin die 'accidentally'?” Uritskiy nodded at the chairman. “This is outrageous!”
“Exactly, comrade. But there is more. Of course, no soldier of ours would rise up against our comrade Lenin so they hired the 'People's Guard' to act as the muscles.”
Bukharin looked up “Georgians!?”
“Yes, comrade Bukharin, Georgians. With the help of the GRU...” Uritskiy looked at the Director “...we have gathered information that Chairman Beria was part of the plot. He personally ordered the 'People's Guard' to send troops to Russia. We still don't know what in it for him or why he did that but it doesn't matter. After sheltering the Ukrainian separatists and then this! He needs to be stopped!”
“The Double Nineteen Plot” coined by Pravda after the year 1919 where the first material to surface was dated on. Many officials who were involved were already dead after the defeat in that civil war like Stalin and Kalinin. Others were still alive. Hundreds of them. The most prominent and high ranking of all was People's Commissar Maksim Litvinov, head of NKPID (Foreign Affairs). And let's not forget Chairman Beria from the Democratic Republic of Georgia. This breaking news soon exploded to various countries like Britain and France. Many blamed that this was the reason why the Reds lost the Russian civil war.
Many of them were charge of crimes of conspiracy and of against Socialism and the Motherland. Many, like Litvinov, were stripped off their ranks/positions and sentence of either life sentence or death penalty. The dead like Stalin and Kalinin were taken out of their graves in Kremlin and were relocated.
The demise of People's Commissar Litvinov
Beria, of course, fought back and dismiss the “Double Nineteen Plot” as Soviet propaganda to tarnish his name. It was fruitless as the enraged Red Army were assembled in the Russian-Georgian borders. In December 6, 8 o'clock PM, Soviet troops crossed the border. Operation Maroon have started.
The heavily politicised 'People's Guard' were no match against the glorious Soviet Army as they occupy Maikop in December 17 and Nalchik in January 2 of the next year. France and Britain protested for acts of aggression to a fellow Socialist country for the 2nd time but the British and French public themselves were on the Russian's side. The big players of the Internationale were powerless to stop justice.
Frontline. 2nd of January 1939
While the Double Nineteen Plot was in the spotlight in Russia and in the Internationale, another news became big in the North Atlantic as the Royalists from Canada have sent troops to Iceland to quell the riots. It all started with the newly independent nation cannot afford to import fuel due to the rising oil price in this economical downturn. The Canadians then approached Iceland with a deal. Free fuel imports in exchange of fishing rights off the coast of Greenland. This resulted in protests from the fishermen in the 11th of November. The opposition parties supported the fishermen by demanding the end of the deal. The protests soon turned into riots as various groups began to support the oppressed fishermen. The government send a request to Ottawa to send troops to Iceland. Canadian troops then landed on Reykjavik on the 27th of November 1938.
The riots in the Iceland's capital turned into bloodbath after an instance where one of the Royalist troops fired on the crowd. On December 3, the Union of Britain steps in with the Republican Navy and issued a blockade the island. Canada responded was limited to covert operations despite the king's demand for war against Britain. In turn, Britain responded on the operations with covert operations too such as training the Icelandic proletariat and ambushing Royalist forces.
The climax arrived in December 28 when the surprisingly armed Icelandic workers have clashed with the Canadians several times around the city until they were ordered to evacuate. The Proletariat then stormed the Althing, Iceland's parliament, and official proclaim the victory of the workers.
Two days after the landing of the Canadian soldiers in Iceland, Brazilian troops marched into the streets of Buenos Aires, the capital of La Plata. The war ended with Brazil, La Plata and Germany signing the Treaty of Concordia. The treaty stated the transfer of the provinces: Montevideo, Concordia, Ciudad del Este and Asuncion to Brazil. This war is another demonstration of the superiority of Socialism over the Capitalism.
The year ended with the founding of the atomic research team for the People's Commissariat for Technology. They are now given funds to establish their laboratories.
The year 1939 opened up with the vacant positions of the plotters being filled in. The new Commissar of People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs was given to Vyacheslav Molotov.
The start of 1939 was good for the Soviet army as they marched in the streets of Tblisi and captured Beria and his cohorts, also the wanted Ukrainian escapees as well. Georgia surrendered. Beria was hanged for crimes against the Motherland and Socialism. He maybe a Socialist who follow the doctrines of Totalism but his action speak otherwise. His involvement on the plot to overthrow Lenin was unforgivable.
West of Soviet Russia, the Reactionary country of Lithuania looked at its history and revisited the Union of Lublin that unifies them and Poland. The unification was proposed to Poland. The Polish replied with a telegram in Polish. When the translator decipher the message, he puzzlingly said “We just earn our freedom and only a fool would give it up again. Poland can into space. Poland... can into space?” The fault maybe with the machine, or maybe its a typographical error by the Polish or maybe the translator have dubious Polish-language skills.
The brave Proletariat of Iceland then solidify their position by officially declaring Iceland as a Socialist state and with the Treaty of London, create an alliance between Iceland and Britain. Long live the working class!
Mother Russia then turned her eyes on Georgia's oil-rich neighbour, Azerbaijan. The country was certainly interesting for her as the production in the Baku oil fields can surpass the ones in Ploesti and of course, Mother Russia has a duty to fight the corrupt capitalistic corporations that run these oil fields and enslaves the oppressed workers of Azerbaijan. They must be liberated that once! Demands were then given to Baku, dissolve the government and allow the People's Army to march into Azerbaijan to liberate the Proletariat. They decline. War was declared on Azerbaijan on the 23rd of January 1939.
The war started with two battles. The four division army was beaten back easily.
In February 11, Baku was assaulted, defeating the same 4 divisions before until they were destroyed.
The war was swift as Baku was captured in February 16. The two Caucasian countries were liberated from slavery and oppression.
The year 1938 has been a good year for the workers and it seems 1939 would be the same. Long live the revolution!

So far, the traitor and the random one folded back to Russia. Only the puppet remains.
