“A revolution is impossible without a revolutionary situation; furthermore, not every revolutionary situation leads to revolution.”
- Vladimir Lenin

“In this time of confusion, worry and uncertainty. What we need is an alliance. An alliance of the holy. An alliance of the faithful. An alliance of those who still follows the true creed. A Catholic alliance.”
-Prince Xavier of Bourbon-Parma

Supreme Soviet

“We can finally put his body in a proper place.” They slowly lowered the casket. “The father of the Russian revolution must be respected” The casket is now being covered by cement. The undertakers are now shaping the burial properly. Originally, they first planned to put the body on display but Lenin's body was already decaying when they found him in a graveyard just outside of Moscow.

“What about the others?” Bukharin asked. When he said the others, the other Bolsheviks captured during the previous civil war.

“As of now, a few. But there are a lot of familiar names.” Genrikh Yagoda replied while shuffling the papers “It's all here in the records. Good thing that the Okhrana were organized. Names, date and time of the death sentence, which cemetery...” he showed the papers to Bukharin

“Give me some names that whose corpse were found?”

“Comrade Mikhail Kalinin and comrade Iosif Dzhugashvili too name a few. We will all bury them properly with honours, comrade.”

The workers were putting the final touches on the new mausoleum. This mausoleum will be visited by millions of Russians.

“All of the senior members of the party are gone then”

“I'm afraid yes” Yagoda looked away “Only the lower ones got the life sentence. We already freed them all and gave them the best care that we could.”

He then thought to himself “we tried to rescue them but... I guess it's better that they're now dead.”

The mausoleum is redesigned two times later. This granite mausoleum still stands today.

6th June, 1936

The HQ was busy. The new armies that were inherited from the Imperial forces was both gift and a liability. The Red Army grown a probably ten times its size in an instant and they need to rearrange the whole army's organisation. The nearest ones to be deployed over there to defend the border were turncoat Czarist soldiers. These could prove problematic as the Soviet army in the west are now being transported towards Chelyabinsk. Using the Trans-Siberian Railway, hundreds of thousands were transported towards the front. They finally gave him an estimate. After one month, the first ones will arrive and another month for the last ones. Tukhachevsky groan at the figures, they couldn't defend the border.

“Sir, we got good news. One of the officers have contacted us that there are 9 strong Imperial divisions nearby, they already talked to them. The commanders have immediately surrendered their armies and are willing to fight for us!”

“That's brilliant! How long is their distance?”

“They could go at the front for at least a week.”

A smile went out of his face. That will be enough to hold the Siberians for a month.

transsiberianrail.jpg

The Trans-Siberian railway spans from Moscow to Vladivostok. It will be put to the limit with the weight of the Red Army approaching Siberia.

5th June, 1936

An aide approached chairman. he handed four folders to him. Bukharin after sorting out the paperworks, opened the folders. One is from Tukhachevsky, it's a report with a couple of AARs attached with it. The report indicates that, after 4 months of fighting, the Red Army is improving but the goal is still far from reach. The officers are still on the drawing board and still testing. The field marshall remains positive that the experience from the battles against the Czarists and the future battles against the Siberians will help on developing a proper fighting doctrine for the Red Army.

The second folder was from the newly established Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The folder signifies that the implementation of using mechanical devices on collectives farms has now began. The details were all mentioned in the report. From the types of machines that will be used to it's distribution to the farms and later gather feedbacks about the said project.

The another one was from Kaganovich from the Ministry of Armaments, the report displays the upgrading of troop quality (just the design for now, not the implementation) meaning, each troop will receive a better training, clothes and equipment. Kaganovich also includes in the report about the creation of a proper sub-branch of military police in the army.

soviettechjun1936.png

He opened the last one. It's from Litvinov. It has been gathered that Prince Xavier has invited Catholic nations into some alliance. So far, the sources have said that it was just an economical partnership. Although it is possible that it could evolve into a military alliance. Bukharin read on. According to the report, Ireland, Portugal and North Italy, which is the Papacy, have accepted. On the other hand, Austria has decline the invitation, prefers to still in German sphere. There aren't any formal treaties yet to make this alliance official.

Moscow. 7th June, 1936

The Kremlin Palace was full with guests. All of the foreign guests were, of course, from the International. Representatives from each Socialist nation or movement were present to recognize the Soviet leadership as the legitimate government of Russia. Outside the Red clique however, Soviet Russia is still an outcast. That didn't matter to Bukharin as he steps into the huge room admitting the huge assembly.

“Comrades, welcome! Here we celebrate the defeat of the ruling class. Those forces who continues to preserve the oppressive order. They are now gone! Then at the same time, we, of course, celebrate the victory of the working people.

We cannot be happy with what we have right now. It would be seem selfish that we will stay like this. We are free but the workers from our neighbouring countries are not. That is unacceptable. We liberate the former Czarist lands. No, not just the Russian lands of 1918 but all the lands of Russia. From Poland and Finland to Mongolian and Manchuria. We will export the revolution and liberate all of the oppressed of Eurasia!”

Some were shocked. Publicly saying such things could make Japan and Germany more uneasy.

“Enjoy the evening and have a great time.”

Its time to liberate all of the oppressed of Euroasia!!!!!!!!!

So, Joe Steele had his own fake death?

I love that event. It's completely bat shit insane.

@GulMacet, @Davisx3m - For the people!

@Viden - To Bukharin, poor old Joseph is now buried. Did he faked his death? Who knows.

@Milites - Yeah. The event is just totally asking you to pick the third option. :D

@Parokki - Officers, take this man! Off to be adjusted, you! :p The oppressed workers of Poland, Finland, Mongolia and Manchuria surely wants to be liberated! Kiddings aside, yeah. Zero percent revolts on those areas. It's a bit weird but that's how cores work, I'm afraid.

I'll write another update when I get home. I'll put in a map of Russia too

@Zhuge Liang - Of course. It will be unfair for the hard working and honest proletariat of Africa, Oceania and the Americas if we don't liberate them.

@Soulking - Within the Internationale, it's good. The rest, it's negative. Not that we care :D

@Ivir Baggins - I'm pretty sure those who were concerned about the speech were the pseudo-Socialists in the Internationale.

Update will be posted later.

The Race to Novosibirsk

mapjun1936.png

Map of Russia as of June 1936 after the Treaty of Kaluga

The demands on the Treaty of Kaluga was to surrender all of lands to the Soviets including the lands that are under occupation by the Don-Kuban Union. The Soviets have made a demand on the Cossacks to cede the lands but it was ignored. Later on, Berlin back the Caucasus state by warning the Soviets not to step on Cossack land. Preparations for war were cancelled. There will be some other time.

Japan got rid of a competitor on the Pacific by capturing the remaining Russian port in the ocean, Okhotsk. They entered the war after Transamur crossed the Siberian border. Not wanting to risk on losing their puppet country, they joined. The Asian power now continues on to capture the remaining coastal provinces turning Siberia into a landlocked country.

In South America, Peru and Bolivia have both agreed to unify and soon created the Peru-Bolivia Confederation. The new nation have made some changes in the balance of power of the continent.

Not wanting to surrender to the Siberians, the Imperial divisions in the Soviet-Siberian quickly accepted Soviet leadership as they suffered defeat and were pushed out of both Nizhnij Tagil and Kurgan at June 4. A week and a half later, the promise from the nearby Imperial turncoats was fulfilled as they arrive in Chelyabinsk and stopped the Siberians on their advance in June 16.

After the defeat of the Czarists, the party has now decided on the new budget. The changes weren't that different from last time as most of the budget will be poured into strengthening the former Imperial armies and also the existing Red divisions. (Note: The screenshot is a bit misleading since most of the army were strategically redeployed, that's why the need for reinforcements is low) A fraction would go to the usual ones such as civilian and military goods and another fraction would be spent on completing the navy projects inherited from the Czarists which started by the Kerensky administration. A long-term infrastructure project will also be funded to improve the transportation network of Moscow in par with other nation's capitals. Another one to be funded is the creation of the military police. So far, only three divisions were planned.

The Red Army has finally made its first offensive against the Siberians on Kurgan after nearly a month later. In July 10, the separatists flee from the victorious Soviet, abandoning the province. The Siberians on the North have advanced further into Soviet land and reached Sverdlovsk only to be cut off by the Red troops. In July 16, the separatist division was hopelessly trying to defend the city only to be destroyed.

The frontline. 16th of July 1936

Like the battle of Sverdlovsk, the whole war looks hopeless for the Siberians

---------

In July 25, Berlin forced its colony, Mittelafrika, to change its leadership. Goring resigned and was replaced by Joseph Kasa-Vubu as the new governor of Mittelafrika. The sudden replacement happened 5 days ago when Mittelafrika demanded the African colonies of Portugal and even threatened them with war. The Portuguese have sent a complaint to Berlin that the Mittelafrikan claims were illegitimate and demanding that she put her colony on her place. Germany heard their complain. Hence Goring's resignation.

The German colony backed down.

--------

The Soviet high commander has issued a new objective. To drive into the Siberian capital before the Mongolians does the same. They are confident that they will achieve this operation easily.

opivan.png

Operation Ivan

In July 23, the Soviets have captured Kurgan. After five days of rest, the Red Army advanced again into Tyumen. The battle of Tyumen was disappointing for the Soviets. A Siberian division have manage to hold their ground against 9 Red divisions due to the Red divisions being understrength. Five days later, the Soviets attacked again, this time with more divisions. In August 4, the Siberians have finally been kicked out of Tyumen.

battle1-1.png

It seems that the high command have underestimated the Mongolians' speed of movement. The prediction is now less then likely to happen

-------

In the 7th of August, the Field Marshall of the Soviet Russia have presented a report. His report points out that a fluid front is more efficient than a static front. He also argues that fast movement and manoeuvring is the key to winning the war not the enormous but inefficient fire power of the western front back in the Great War. He also mentions the defeats in the Crimean war, Russo-Japanese war, the Great War and the two civil wars, pointing out the flaws within the military thinking, the organisation and strategy. His work was generally praised by the military.

mobilityfocus.png

The next day, the Soviets were given a hint that the Siberians are now broken. A Siberian envoy have approached 'Ivan' HQ offering to open up negotiations for the first time ever. The envoy was dismissed. There will be no negotiations against the Reactionaries except for total surrender.

siberiapeace.png

And on the 15th of August, 1936, one of the breakaway countries, Turkestan, have declared war against Alash Orda saying that its northern neighbour have ill-treated its Turkmen people. Turkestan was dominated by an alliance of Sunni Fundamentalists wanting to create a Caliphate across Central Asia, and the Pan-Turanists wanting to unite all of the Turkic people.

The Turko-Kazakh War

----------

The Siberians have desperately tried to defend Tyumen twice. In August 20 and 28, both were pushed out against the sheer numbers of the Red Army. Tyumen was captured in the 28th of August and on the next day, the Red Army advanced again. The defenders of Omsk were defeated against 5 Soviet divisions which lasted for 8 days. The people's army is one step away from the Siberian capital only to have the hopes dampen to discover that the Mongolians are now galloping closer towards the target.
